I didn't drink last night but I have had a small headache today. My allergies are just crazy today - too many weeds this time of year.

Can't stay on long I have to take Anna Marie home. Here is what happened. I went this mornng to look for a new formal. I was at a rack (I had one dress in hand to try on) and this saleswoman comes over and says "these dresses run small so you might want to look at a bigger size). NOW I worked in a bridal store andI know the sizes run small and I WAS at the right size, but I guess by her observation I belonged in the "LARGE" people section. Then to make matters worse, she says "Oh this must be your daughter and points 2 racks over. I look around and see this 20 something girl with HER little girl! I looked at this woman and said "I'm not that old! Thanks alot"! THEN to make it even worse, she then says "Oh she looks like you. Maybe you should look in the Mother dresses and maybe there will be something you can wear in that section!!!"

I put the dress that was in my hands back on the rack, she says OH, you don't want to try that on. I said NO! and started to walk away and she preceeded to follow me towards the mother of the bride section (it was on the way out) and pulls out this Gosh awful dress, something my grandmother would wear and says how about something like this? Well, I kept walking straight out the door! I have NEVER NEVER felt so horrible about myself in all my life! I got to the car and called Anna Marie and just started crying! THis woman made me feel so old and fat! I feel so bad now about myself,that I don't want to go on this trip!

I came home and told Garry about it and he thinks I should call the store manager tomorrow about this woman. The only problem with that is, I didn't get this woman's name.
(even now as I type this, I'm crying! I have NEVER felt so bad about myself as I do now!)

I know this is petty, but here I thought that I was losing weight and starting to feel good about myself and this total stranger put me in my place.

I can't even think about having a good time on this trip because in the back of my mind I'm gonna be thinking I must really look horrible to others.

Gonna go.


I did have a good time LAST NIGHT too!

Julie, do not let what happened today put a damper on your vacation plans or how you feel about yourself. Some people can be so insensitive. I agree with Garry, I think you should call the store manager. Even if you didn't get her name, a description and knowing when it took place may be enough for the manager to identify her. You may not be the only person she has been so rude to. You should continue to be proud of yourself and feel good about yourself for the weight loss you have had. No one's opinion should matter except your own. I hope you can move beyond this quickly because you have a wonderful vacation ahead of you with a wonderful family and wonderful friends.

Julie-What an idiot that woman was! I agree that you should contact the store manager (in hopes that she wasn't the manager) and provide the time you were in the store and a description of the woman. I thought you looked great last December and you were very pregnant then! So you must still look great! Hey, at least you aren't like me...try to lose and end up gaining! I don't even know if I have anything that fits!

Great chat last night! Missed Sally, Barb and Lori.

Very funny Denine-yes i did make it up the stairs...a little tipsy but I did it!

Glad to hear Bob made it back ok...lucky them a week before the cruise and then the cruise! Too cool!

Found lime green sandals for $4.99 at the Ann Taylor outlet so I am all set now!! I just need a suitcase for shoes!!!

Oh poor Julie. I can't put it any better than Susan. Just remember what I have been calling you lately and it has been from my heart AND observation. You are skinny!! Don't take it to heart. That woman was obviously having a bad day and took it out on you. Go on that vacation and don't let ANYONE mess with your head. You are a wonderful person. That woman needs to be reported. Her attitude has to be hurting their business.

I think after that one we NEED a Christmas exchange! I am in!!

As I scrolled down, I see Bonnie posted as well. Hi Bonnie Darren is asking to have Brunch with us. I sent him an email and Faith. I will let the two of them work it out.

I am sure Barb will want to do the exchange...she is always in for gifts.....loves to give and get. As for Patti, I don't know but I would bet she will do it too. They both got great gifts last year.

Julie, don't feel bad....some people open mouth and insert foot as a daily routine. The last time I went to the nursing home to visit with our church group a old lady there ask me if I was thinking of moving there....I just went home and dyed my silver blonde hair dark...heehee.

I talked to Julie this morning. They aren't coming over because she still has to pack! Oops! She sounded in better spirits. I also told her that she needs to call the manager of the store. Heck, after I heard her message on the answering machine, I almost called the store to complain! Pat Catan's is a local craft, wedding, formal dress place. All of their dresses are in one location now, back where we just moved from. The craft stores are in different areas of the county.

Jeanne: I agree, a broken heart will heal in time.

I started pulling stuff out last night to pack. I pulled Kaleigh's clothes today.

We can't wait to leave on Thursday.

I guess everyone is busy packing, shopping, etc. I started to arrange what I am going to take & wear each day & night trying to put the WDW clothes in the smaller bag.

Good news on the Mom front. Took her to the Ortho. Dr. today & she can now put pressure on the casted foot! Yeah! He put a boot on the foot & she is doing much better. She came out of rehab last Wednesday & she is supposed to have P.T. three times a week & also O.T. They were also supposed to arrange a home health aide for 2-3 hours three times a week but so far NOT ONE PERSON except for an R.N. last Friday has come to the house. Today I started making my COMPLAINING calls. I called the Social Worker at the hospital & the Home Care Agency.

I got the pictures from Joyce's daughter's wedding

. They turned out beautiful. I can't wait to show them to Joyce. There is one picture of Joyce dancing with her son which is perfect.

Hi guys, Heidi was off today so we spent it shopping. Fun day. We are both exhausted now.

I lost another pound. I am 2.4 lbs away from the goal I set for myself to weigh at the time of the cruise. Close but not close enough!

Julie, thought of you often today.

Denine, you are on short time. You better get to packing!!

Jeanne, I couldn't get back Ted's tee so he is going to use his plain orange shirt. So....Heidi is wearing orange with a witch and I can wear the orange one like Heidi or the gray Disney one. Whatever you guys decide.

Sandy, bless your heart...you were talking about the t-shirts and I remembered I forgot to pack the shirts Barb had made for the cruise with the Annv. Reunion printed on them. She would have killed me if I didn't have them...thank you!!

I am NOW all packed, house cleaned and laundry done...didn't think I would make it but I did...of course now I am too tired to go...lol.

Day one without my problem person. But what a day...kinda tough looking after a bunch of people!

Picked mom up at the airport. They told her when she booked she would arrive back at terminal F...so I went there. No mom, no Air Tran (normally in D) nothing on the boards. So I hoof it to Terminal D and there she is!!! I got my exercise for the day. I didn't even know they had a terminal F!!

Julie, I hope you got over the incident with that salesperson. Hey, I've had people...when I was younger of course...ask when I was due! Been there done that!

Such a loss...Christopher Reeve. I liked him, a lot of courage and determination. What a shame. I was shocked when it first happened and now although I am sure he is much happier where he is now.

Jeanne-Did the picture of you and the cowboy turn out ok????

Back to work tomorrow. It feels like I've been away for awhile but now I can start COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS.....................

Bon Voyage Everyone!!! Have a great vacation, think of me!!! I will be there in 10 days!!!

Julie - that lady was horrible to you, don't let her get you down, she obviously doesn't know much about her job. Remember, we ARE the HOTTIES!!!

I am jealous of everyone leaving for their vacation, it makes me even more anxious to go on vacation!!! I can tell the next 2 weeks are going to be very long weeks even though I have a 3-day work week this week and a 4 day work week next week!!!

Susan - I looked at the house and I do truly LOVE it!!! My family and I have shared many emotions this weekend that include excitment, nervous, sad, everything possible I think regarding this house!!!

Last night we got ready for the cruise. We put tip money in envelopes, I put my excursion money in envelopes, we signed and completed all of our docs, and now I just need to pack!!!

Heidi, we did go through a lot of emotions didn't we? I am doing better though and it appears you are too. For the rest of you, empty nest syndrome has hit. It is so very hard.

Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss. Still have 30 more to go but at least my mini goal is close to being met!

Can you imagine how slow this thread will be after Julie, Denine, Barb and Sally leave? We have to keep it up and running for them!
