ok, Heidi, I am going to talk like a scrapbook teacher.....think about this. You buy a camera, film, get developed and put in a drawer, box or closet and forget about the pictures. Now that is expensive or you can put them in an album and look at them every once in awhile but the best thing I think is having a piece of your history to pass down to your children and grandchildren. I would give anything to have an album that my great grandmother put together so I could see and read what she did in her lifetime. I have my baby book and a book my mom made when she was in high school and I just love to get it out and read it. I lost my mom when she was 41 and I was only 20 so it is a way I can touch her life.

As for expense you can make it as expensive as you want...once you buy the basic things. I never add up the cost when I do an album and a year from now I couldn't even if I wanted to.

As you can tell I am sold on scrapbooking even before I started teaching it.....and you do get addicted. But I never drank, smoked or buy a lot of expensive things so I feel I deserve it.

I wish we lived close, I would love to teach you. Patti and her girls are scrapbooking every Sunday afternoon so it is a good bonding time.

Going to Curves this morning...weigh in time.....not too worried about it now as I have the cruise coming up. Will have to get serious when I get back.

Sally - scrapbooking sounds like so much fun!!! I have 5 photo albums full of pictures and 2 shoeboxes full of loose pictures!!! I would love to learn how and it would help me slow down and actually take a break and do something instead of just watching TV!! Maybe one of these days!!! My ex-boyfriends mom did it and I would help her do the albums of all of our trips together and that was a lot of fun!!

Today is a good day. I didn't gain any more weight. I didn't lose any either, but hey.

We bought a printer last night so I could print out the bushwacker coupons. I feel like we entered the 21st century. The printer also has a copier and a scanner! Boy, is it fast!

Jerry made our hotel reservations for the trip down. We just have to decide where to stay on the way back.

Work called me to say they brought back the 4 hour shifts!!!!!!!!! I am really happy about that. I picked up and 8 hour on the 30th and will get more hours at that time. This means that when I work 8 hours, I don't have to do both sides. That means I don't have to be there at 5AM. I can get there at the usual 6AM. That means a lot now that it takes 25 minutes to get there instead of 5.

I do my version of scrapbooking. I buy the stickers and put them next to my pictures in the photo album.

The plumber never came yesterday. Now he is supposed to come tommorow.

It is sunny :sunny: today.

Sandy: I forgot to mention the F & W festival. It is awesome. They set up a bunch of different booths around the World Showcase with different food and desserts and wines. You pay a small amount for what you want to try. It is a whole new way to eat your way around the World! It can get expensive though. Jerry and I usually share.

The disboard does look great! But, boy, is it ever slow right now.

Susan, congrats on the weight loss! My clothes are now hanging, too, and I love it!! I have droopy drawers. :teeth: I lost another 2 lbs since Monday for a total of 20.2. Denine, not gaining is great too. I did that over the weekend and felt good about it. At least you didn't GAIN!!

Denine, great tip about sharing at the F&W Festival. Thanks. I am 100% Scandanavian and saw they had lefse. I HAVE to try the authentic lefse! I know how I felt with our new printer. It is great to catch up with the real world, huh?

Sally, you actually made me tear up over the scrapbooking. Everything you said touched me. You are so correct. Heidi, do we need to take time????? Maybe this vacation would be a great start!!

OMG, we are getting so much Susan time. It is terrific. I miss you when you are so busy!!

Forgot to tell all of you on our cruise, our rotation will be APLAPLA.

Heidi, I told Bonnie about our PB&J at the beach. She is up for it. I volunteer to bring your stuff to the beach.

Sure we can start scrapbooking with this cruise. We have to start some time right?

Yea, 3 days in Animators Palate!!!!

Maybe today I will actually start to work out again. Get home at 4:00, work out for an hour, eat dinner, take a shower and then TV time. I have to look good being in my swimsuit so much this cruise!! (Guess I should have started sooner!!)

BONNIE: Disney Dudette #1 could NEVER be replaced! Sandy is correct. I was thinking of the pumpkin shirts for the Halloween Party. I have your Doc's. Do you want me to leave them off? I already gave Joyce her Doc's. By the Doc's we all live in Joyce's house!

SANDY: Joyce bought one of the grey Mickey Halloween shirts with Mickey as a bat, pumpkin & spider & I have one too. Do you think Ted would wear one? Was your shirt half priced?

Both Joyce & I worked Monday & Tuesday. Monday was a good day but Tuesday was a day from hell for me. Today we brought my Mom home from Rehab. & that was an ALL day affair. Tomorrow I work & then we are off to the Craft Fair for the weekend. Need to pack & wash for the weekend!

DENINE: Your house sounds like perfection.

HEIDI: Who is our next door neighbor on the cruise?

I had SOOOOOOO much reading to do I hope I didn't forget anything. Hope you all have a great weekend in case I don't have time to post. We are meeting at 9:30 AM Friday morning in Ocean City. I am getting very excited
:jumping1: Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

I checked out our next door neighbors!!! Garry-They make you and me look like saints!!! Disturb dudette #1's sleep though and they will have to recken with me!!! I am not a nice person when I don't get my sleep. I really think they belong on a Carnival Cruise...certainly not a class ship like the Magic! Trash.

OK...8 AM it is for the horsebackriding! I can't wait.

Mom- I am going to send you all my pictures and scrapbooking supplies...I never seem to find the time.

Congrats on the weight loss Sandy!! I will bring all my size 14's that won't fit me so you can wear them....maybe I can squeeze in them with a super girdle! Although Jeanne will tell you I don't paint a pretty picture when squeezed into clothes...that is what got us hysterical in a dressing room.

Susan congrats on your weight loss also...ahead of time. Wish my clothes were loose. Maybe it's my thyroid? Yeah right!

Have to start packing...and trying on to see what will fit. Curves doesn't help my middle and that is where I need the most help.

I am for a wine chat Saturday night!!! Name the time and I will be there!!! Maybe I will see if Pam wants to come over and join in but I think it is Kathy's 50 th birthday bash.

Went to the dentist for a cleaning and they had called my home and cancelled...so I will have dirty teeth for the cruise...darn.

Didn't read all posts just glanced so if I missed anyone I am sorry.

PB & J and horses all the same day!!! Can I stand it!

Good evening everyone! Third evening in a row.

I'll make it easy for you horse people. I'll take your things to the pool, I'll buy lunch so you don't have to eat PB & J. Now, all you have to do is smuggle me onto the ship!!!!!

I want to go so bad. I miss all of you. Julie and Denine - smuggle me and I'll do your babysitting...for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sally, if your clan can smuggle me in with your group of 20, what difference would it make there are so many of you - who would notice!!!!!

Julie - we do need an update from your scan. Hope all is well.

My dad gets his bone scan results tomorrow. Say a prayer for him!!

Work is absolutely crazy but a good kind of crazy. I really like the stuff I am working on right now. Half of it is merger related and the other half is consulting. Also, our company settled a lawsuit from several years back about inequitable pay for females. I got notice that I will be getting a piece of that settlement but I won't get it until next spring. It's a nice little surprise - enough to take a cruise with but it just is a little too late!!!

I lost 0.8lbs this time. Not much but every little bit helps. The little motivational talk today was about moving mountains one stone at a time. She gave us a little stone to remind us that each little bit we lose not matter how small is one "stone" at a time to reach our goal. A little sappy but so true!!

I think I have rambled on enough for this evening. I'll try to get back on for a quick post early tomorrow.

Miss you guys.
Later!

Good evening everyone!

Susan, I have an answer to your problem. You can go on the Panama Canal cruise with us. Please, please, please! We will keep our fingers crossed for your dads bone scan results. Pixie dust to your family.

Jeanne, Ted will try on the shirt tonight and decide. I was about to take his back. We paid 33% off. Not fair. Heidi wants one now so will go tomorrow and see if they have her size.

Bonnie, you put it so eloquently about your neighbors! TRASH!

Hi everyone! Just checking in. Heidi, Sandy, and Dudettes..... you have a "wild" crew with you! I had to check out your board to see who you were talking about.... is it the one about bonging the beers? NICE!!! Bonnie, knock the h**** out of him (if it is!)

Susan, so nice to see you posting so much! Hey, I'll smuggle you on board! The more the merrier! I'm up for the wine chat! 8pm???? or 9pm???

My scan came back with a tumorous (sp) mass (in other words a big lump). He said it isn't cancerous (sp) buthe wants to watch it. If it continues to grow, he has to remove it. THe problem with that is that it looks like there are nerves that are surrounding it and there is a chance that if it gets removed, I could have numbness down my right arm. NICE!!! Boy do I really need this vacation!

OK..... December 2006 mark your calanders........ OCT 19th cruisers reunion at disney world!!!! First week in Dec!!!! NO EXCUSES!!!!!!! All are welcome!!!! ALL MUST BE THERE.... Lori, Krista, Heidi, Sally, Barb, Patty, Sandy and Ted, Jeanne, Joyce, Bonnie and Glenn, Denine, Jerry and Kaleigh, Susan, Turner and Paul.......us....... and anyone else I forgot!!! (what do you think? Julie your cruise director has decided to get all of us together again!)

Well, gonna go. I'll checkback in later!

OH...... Meeting before the cruises........ How's 9:30am in the terminal parking lot? (near the walk way to the terminal? If you give me your cell phone numbers again, I can call you when we are at our "hurry up and eat breakfast!). What do you think?

Sandy it would be a good time to start with this vacation and you and Heidi would always remember the time you shared putting it together in an album....there are so many great pictures at Disney and on the cruise ship and how better to remember than to sit by the fire some night with a cup of coffee and look back at all your friends and family and remember the fun you had with them.

Denine, that is what scrapbooking is all about....your ideas and your version of it.....sounds like you are doing great.

My friend is coming over again tomorrow to scrapbook....she was here all last week and finished her daughters wedding album and is doing a This is your life one for her daughter for her birthday. I had done one for Patti and she said I couldn't have given her anything she would have loved anymore. That is what makes it worth all the work and love I put in it. I have to laugh at my friend, I had tried to get her to scrapbook for a couple years and she wasn't interested at all and then she decided to try it and is she ever addicted...she loves it.

I went to Curves and got weighed but didn't exercise as I started having a side ache and back pain like I did in July when I had the kidney stone attack. The doctor had given me some pain pills in case I had another one so I have taken them today and the pain has gone away ......thank goodness it happened today and not next week...at least I had my pills here. I am going to bed and hopefully sleep all night.

Good night all

Sally, I hope the pain stays away. You have a vacation to enjoy without kidney stones!

Julie, sorry to hear about the lump. Glad it's not cancerous but not good about the nerves around it. Hopefully, it will not grow. Pixie dust your way and you are always in my prayers (as well as all of my DIS friends).

Panama Canal cruise - would love to but it's right when school starts. Turner would miss the first week of school. If it wasn't the first week, I'd consider it but that will be the year he starts middle school. Not a good start doing that!

December 2006 at Disney. That sounds possible.

Sandy, Heidi, Bonnie and Julie are in for the wine chat!! Did I miss anyone else? We need more of you to join in (with or without the wine). Even if you can't chat long, everyone is welcome to join in.

Turner has hockey practice this evening so I may not be back on tonight.

Gotta run. Have a great day everyone!
Later!

Wine chat.....Friday or Saturday?? Your 8 or 9? Once decided I will email Lori and Krista.

Susan, quite honestly I was disappointed that you can't make the Panama Canal cruise but I sure understand. Starting middle school is a very big time and skipping a week just wouldn't be good. :(

Julie, I truly would love to meet Dec 2006. That is of course if Ted is willing again. Need to save, save, save after the Panama Canal trip. Glad your lump was not cancerous. Pixie dust that you do not need it taken out. Would love to meet you guys in the parking lot at they cruise terminal. Is that too long for you to wait however? What could you do for that length of stay? I will try and get there a little early. I will email you my cell number.

Sally, so sorry about your pain! I hope everything is better today. My problem with scrapbooking is that I lack in the creativity department. I mean a major lack!

Survivor night.

I know this is a little early but are we going to draw names again for Christmas? I am starting to look ahead. Julie, are you willing to take up the responsibility again or would you rather someone else do it? If we do it, Heidi would like to be added to the list.

Julie - yes you are correct who the person is that I can't stand. He is white trash. He better not come by me. Bonnie was right when she said he needs to be on Carnival, the little beer bonging alcoholic!!! (not like I am an alcoholic!!!) Pixie Dust to you. Thank god it is not cancerous but you could still use a big group hug :grouphug: and one more from me  Hope everything works out in the future.

Jeanne - You have Patrick next to you...DIS name is pmcougar. I don't like him because to me he is very offensive and vulgar and obnoxious. I am afraid because he is so close by our room, age 26 and single.

I am up for a Dec. 2006 WDW reunion. It gives me plenty of time to save up for it.

Susan - I will sneak you on the ship in my luggage.

Sally - I definitely think we will scrapbook, starting with this cruise!! Thanks. Feel better and don't overdo it, you need to be okay on your cruise in 1 week!!!!!

 Good morning mom, we cross-posted. Guess what, I am blaming you because this morning I woke up with a sore throat. Thanks!!! I took a handful of vitamin C to work.

So far so good this morning for pain.....the last one I took should have worn off at 5 so am going to try to go as long as I can. I think I passed a couple of little pieces this morning....so if I did I am on my way to no pain.

Sandy, Linda (my daughter) always said she was not creative but she stuck with it and you should see her pages today....she is doing so good. I don't think anyones pages are great to start with ...I look at my first album and have to laugh....but with practice you just keep getting better. But they don't have to be a masterpiece....just a piece of you. You and Heidi should come down some day and we will scrapbook together....I have all the equipment you need....stamps, punches, dye cutter, cutting system I let people use.

Better get my shower before Donna gets here. I am babysitting this morning....my grandaughters puppy....and she is a hand full. She is so cute and so into everything...reminds me of our Abby a couple years ago.

Heidi, I woke up with just a little feeling of a cold so you can't blame me! I thought I heard you blowing your nose too. Heidi, you have lots of people to look out for you on the cruise if Patrick starts anything. I took my vitamin C already, too.

Sally, thanks for the encouragement. Sounds like you are getting better. Hope so. You have to be in perfect health for the cruise! Hey, where's Barb and Patty/Patti? Would they be up for a wine chat?

I weighed in here at the house today and am nervous. Can't see the two pounds i lost yesterday. Can't figure it out. Guess, I will wait and see until tomorrow at LA Weight Loss where I weighed in yesterday. I thought it was odd yesterday to lose 2 pounds in two days and maybe it was. :(

Yea I am so excited!!! A coworker gave me a Peer-to-Peer award today for all my hard work. That means an extra $100 for the cruise!!!

Alright Bonnie, bring on the advil and bengay because we are set up to go horseback riding at 8:00 on the beaches of Costa Maya!!

Just found out that there WILL be another ship at Costa Maya with us. It is a Holland America ship.

Geez I must have no life. I think I have posted 4 times this morning!! Heavy workload this week, can you tell!!!
