I am trying to get on the one leaving California and arriving in Florida. The one Aug 20 to Sept 3.

I am doing the happy dance. Now how to pay for it. hummmm...
I only signed Bob and I up. I figured I would wait on the girls and because of the down payment.

Flyers just scored AGAIN . Right now they are winning 3-0 but it is only the first period but my two favorite players scored - John LeClair & Mark Recchi. So I am happy!

SANDY: I haven't heard anything else from DU but I already paid the $500.00 deposit to the DCL via Castaway Club. My room is one of those "reverse" rooms #6007. We are the opposite end of the ship from you (we're pulling up the rear). I am getting VERY excited:jumping4: :jumping4:. I haven't cancelled the October cruise & am still thinking about it. I have to have a talk with Joyce.

Hi!! Busy, busy, busy! Sounds like I am not the only one busy these days. Reading all the posts made me feel more normal. I am so happy for all of you getting the transition cruise. I know you will have a great trip.

This time of year is always crazy with all of the end of year activities at school. I think I have been at the school almost as much as I have been at work. Book fair, teaching Junior Achivement, teacher appreciation, etc., etc., etc.

Today I am in an all day training class and really looking forward to it. It is a 2 day class (one now and another in August). It is called Career Reflections. It's supposed to help me get over this rut, jump start any plans I have and figure out what I want the rest of my work life to include. Today's session is called "Turn Your Autopilot Off". For some reason, that sounds so appropriate for me!!

Gotta get in the shower! Take care everyone.

Jeanne - your Flyers had such a great game last night. They really beat them bad. How was that a hockey score.....6? That is a lot of goals in a play off game. Good job Flyers.....now do it again for the next game!!! They scored way early in the first period, I was shocked!!! Weird game for being playoffs!!

Susan - sounds like you are still very busy!!! I remember the end of the year activities. We are just getting into graduation parties, awards, continuations...etc for family and friends. I graduated May 9 but I didn't get a party....MOM you're so mean. I guess I should have gone to the commencement if I wanted something but I didn't want to sit for 5 hours (did it last year for my real degree!!!)

Barb - you will have so much fun...so that makes my Mom and Dad, Jeanne, Joyce, You and Bob, and Denine, Jerry and Kaleigh all going on the same trip..right? Anyone else?

Mom - don't foget to take a pill before you eat your breakfast..yum. I will call you to make sure you are being good!!! I love you!!!!

Jeanne, gooooooo Flyers! I haven't cancelled this October's cruise either. Ted really wants to try and make them both work. Too bad that we are on opposite sides of the ship but the Oct one we are just around the elevator.

Susan, was beginning to wonder about you. I sure remember the end of the school year. It was always so busy. Even tho we don't have school kids anymore we still have to do the school things with family and friends, like Heidi said. Glad you are looking forward to your classes. That makes Heidi's job easier when people don't dread their classes!

Heidi, thanks for the reminder. I told you that I would take you and Chris out to Armadillo for your "graduation"! So there.

Another hot day here. Suppose to be 85. Cools off tomorrow. Better run, I am going to go apply for my passport at Ted's office today. We got all the paperwork together and filled out last night. We can save 60.00 dollars at his work. Not bad, huh?

Sandy- Are you on the August 20 cruise too?? I thought you were trying to go in May of 2005. That was way to close to this Oct cruise to try and come up with the money plus Tiffany has cheer tryouts in May and all the end of the year stuff.

My reservation say GTY for my state room. Any idea what that means??


I want to add Tiffany and Jaymee at a later date too.

Barb, I bet you are on guarantee status meaning you are guaranteed a room in whatever catagory but could also be upgraded for free. Yep, we are all on the Aug 20 sailing. There is a LONG thread running if you are interested in the cruise meet area.

Just got back from filing for the passport. It should take about 6 weeks. Not too bad.

Barb, you silly girl. Weight???? Guess what----NO it doesn't ask for weight. I was really worried. It just asked for height. Right now they are not making it mandatory but are looking into it. I was going to get one for the Oct cruise anyway. I got the form from Ted's office but you can get it online. Call CO SPGS to see if they do passports. You can also get them at Post Offices. The cheapest place for pictures was at Walgreens for 7.99. I will email your work the thread.

The drinks in Las Vegas were so nice!!! It is so much fun to carry a huge glass around filled with yummy girly drinks!!! By night time when it wasn't so hot I was tired of the sweet drinks and ready for beer!!!

Mom - Well too bad on the Armadillos for graduation unless we go for a dinner or late lunch!!! Can't screw up, have you been drinking your water? I have drank 1200ml so far!!! I am going to make it work for the both of us!! BTW did you check out if I could get the discount for the passport? (even though I am not going anywhere!!)

Barb - I would be careful on adding Tiffany and Jaymee at a later date. I was reading another thread on the DIS regarding the transitional cruise and the TA were warning people about adding names later on because if the boat has too many people, even though there is room in your stateroom for them, they can deny you adding names. I will try and find that thread for you. It may just be an incentive to get more money for the deposits but could be a good warning too.

Ok here is the latest dilema. I had requested a quote from Dreams and they gave me the wrong quote. I then wrote back and let them know I was not interested in that cruise. I fought the Disney website all day until I got a reservation but I only made it for Bob and I. I figured I would add the girls later because of the downpay. Today I get a quote from Dreams that includes the girls and has a rebate. I really want to take theirs but I have already made reservations with Disney. I would have to cancel with Disney and wait for the refund in order to take Dreams but if I do that it may take to long to get the refund and I may lose both

Any suggestions??

Heidi, you are right. Now that you brought it up I remember reading that thread also. They said that it is the number of people allowed not every room maxed out. Good point for Barb, Heidi!! Got my passport picture at Walmart for 7.99.

Hotter than hades here but I will not be deterred from my quest to lose weight...I did my Pilates tonight...UGH!!!

I have been paiting my rubber ducky picture on the wall...First the drawing, then cutout and trace on the wall...then yellow paint, then orange, then a touch of black...it will look cool when I finish.

Nothing else new here. Going to the art museum after work tomorrow to see the Manet exhibit. Pam is a member so get in for free!!! I think it is Manet...impressionist anyway.
Should I knock on wood? Work is calming down a bit...at least today. Friday 10 mins before leaving we got a request for an air transport...takes quite a bit of coordinating but it all got done...of course then the person refused Sat, they rescheduled to Monday...then to top it off the company had the plane in the air to fly to where the person was and they wanted to cancel...we said fine, you cancel you pay whatever the charges!!! They changed their mind!

ANyway got a great price on RT to Chicago from USAirways! I love this price war going on because of SouthWest!!! THey were cheaper than SW!
