Hi All! Congrats to all of you who got the trans. cruise. Because of the size of our family, we need at least a cat. 4 and for 5 persons.....OUCH!!! So, oh well, no tran cruise for us! We will be thinking of all of you who will get to go!

Well, news here....... guess who has strep AGAIN.......... THE BIG GUY!:headache: Yesterday and today he seemed to be talking with a "thick" throat. So today I was giving his medicine to him (yes he was still on it!) and he wasn't swallowing it. I also noticed that he was drooling and not swallowing much of anything. So I looked in his mouth and his tonsils were twice their size with huge white patches over them. I called the doctors and they told me to bring him in. The looked at his throat and said they had to rule out strep first because they thought it could be tonsillitis, SO they took a culture which came back positive. I then asked if they could give him the penicillin shot since he is a horrible med taker. I said I knew that they don't like to give it, but could they please in this case. The doctor said in this case she didn't have a problem with giving the shot since his throat was in the condition it was in. She said if they had the shot, they would give it to him because he needed it ASAP. So long story short ( I know too late) they had the shot, gave it to him in the thigh, he was extremely good for the shot and got new matchbox cars for being so brave. CALGONE TAKE ME AWAY!!! Now let's hope Makenzie doesn't get it again!

Ok, enough from me! Will check back in later!

Julie, I am surprised he had a positive strep test while on antibiotics! Obviously the one he was on doesn't work for strep!

Transition cruise!! Through the Panama Canal!! How exciting! DOes anyone know what ports if any they are stopping in? Will they be stopping in Panama? I am very curious!

Got my hair cut yesterday...way overdue. I Must be at least a pound lighter. Now I have to wash away that grey.

Bachelorette time in NC with Paul out of town.

Congrats on the mortgage Denine.

Barb-I've seen pictures of Oral Roberts U...it looks beautiful as I recall.

Well off to the H***hole of work. It wouldn't be so bad except for the other supervisor that I have to work with. Nice person as a person but not as a co worker.

Morning guys, what a treat to wake up now and read from Bonnie. I know what you mean, I need a haircut but I have decided not to cover the gray.

Julie, how sad about the Big Guy. I can't believe that he never got over it. Good thing that the dr. was willing for the shot!!!

Susan, did you realize that Survivor will be over on Sunday. I didn't know it until my mom told me yesterday. About a week ago I was having trouble posting too. I was so annoyed and thought I lost a post and then it showed up about 10 minutes later. Ohhhhh, Tiger Woods, the man. Right Turner? Have fun at the tournament! I hate it when it is here because it messes up traffic so bad on our way to the campground.

Denine, I never did hear from DU over the night. I bet they have all kinds of trouble. Sucks to be them!!!

Got in from Las Vegas last night. I finally got to bed around 12:30 and then woke up early to be to work at 6:00. I miss waking up to the warm weather and being able to play right when I get up. Back to the real world I guess!!!

Las Vegas was so much fun, but very very hot!!! We walked a lot and I came home with sore legs and very blistered feet. Very painful to walk right now. I am a little sunburned but I put on a ton of sunscreen every few hours. If you have never been to Vegas, you have to go. It's so much fun and so much to do and see. Even if you don't gamble or drink there is so much to do in all the hotels and surrounding areas. I had a few 48oz strawberry margaritas and strawberry daquiries. So much fun carrying the big drinks on the strip. Eventually had to move to beer because those drinks were getting too sweet!!! Didn't bring back any winnings, but managed to come home with a loss. Loved Margaritaville and the RIO buffet, very expensive ($25 w/tip pp for one meal but very good food) I am sure we could have found some cheaper places, but hey its vacation right?

2 bad parts of the trip. (1) Frontier not putting our luggage on the plane. They said it would come out on the next flight and we should have it by midnight, but when we got home at 2:00 am it still wasn't there..atleast when we woke up at 8:00 it had arrived to the baggage people. (2) We took a shuttle from the airport and bought for roundtrip. We made out appointment for the trip back to the airport, called a day in advance and when it was time for them to pick us up, we suddenly disappeared from their computer. Atleast we made it to the airport on time!!!

Glad to see Bonnie back posting!!!

Poor Julie - strep again for the big guy. Thats horrible. My tonsils are huge normally and when I get white spots on them I use to go to the doctor but was never diagnosed with strep. I must just be a carrier for strep.

Jeanne - My AVS are out of the playoffs so now I will vote for your Flyers for you!!!

 Hi to everyone else. Hope everyone is doing good!! Enjoy the rest of the week.

Julie: The poor Big Guy! Nothing like a good dose of PCN!

I wish everyone could go on the transitional cruise. But, I kn ow that can't happen. We decided to do it because it may be a once in a lifetime experience to go through the Canal on the Disney Magic. We were wanting to go on a 10 day Caribbean cruise next April with Princess and then this cruise came up. It was a no brainer for us. Princess just doesn't have the facilities for kids that DCL has.

I haven't heard anything from DU either. Won't be surprised if we don't.

Heidi: Sounds like you had a fantastic time! I can sympathize with the blistered feet. That's how I was when we went to DC. I couldn't walk anymore!

Bonnie: Hope you have a good day at work for a change.

Sue: Enjoy the golf tourney

I can't believe how clean the carpets look! They look brand new again! Now, if I can just keep Kaleigh from spilling and Ollie from puking, they will look good until the house is sold.

Our flight leaves at 9 AM tomorrow. I am so ready for vacation!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAKENZIE!!!!!!!!! 1 DAY EARLY :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ENjoy your party on Saturday!

Ok my day went from easy going to a soon to be hectic afternoon. I was going to take off at noon and take a long nap, jump in the shower and be all done with everything and ready to watch Friends and Survivor. Sounded great after a very busy time (and lack of sleep) in Vegas. I received a call from my DBF stating that his car is broken and it will cost $1,000 to fix, he doesn't have that money so who knows what going to happen. He doesn't want to call Coke to see if they can loan him a car because he said he has worn out that privilege and he had to use today and he said tomorrow of vacation time. I told him that Coke probably would rather him borrow a vehicle and come to work then just sit at home but he won't do it.

So much for a nap. Now instead of taking off at noon, I have to take off at 1:30 to drive back home, change from my work clothes, get gas and drive 30 minutes to his house to pick him up and drive him to school (20 minutes away from his house) wait for him while he is in class and drive him back to his house in Rush hour traffic (I-25) then drive back to my house in worse rush hour traffic to make it home to take a shower and hopefully watch my shows. It's a good thing I am young and can run off lack of sleep. I am so tired and the thought of all this makes me want to cry  He told me to stay the night tonight at his house, but I really want to watch Friends and Survivor with my parents. Maybe I will just stop by Old Navy and by some shorts and sandals and not drive all the way home. This will probably cost me 2 tanks of gas at $1.89/gallon plus parking at the school.

Okay thanks for letting me vent and get my frustrations out. It helped a little. I hate feeling sorry for myself and my poor DBF. I am trying to be so understanding towards him because this just has to be awful, but I am frustrated with him not calling work.

I am now off my soap box and I talked to my mommy so I am feeling better. See you at midnight again tonight mom :p ;)

Just come home Heidi and dinner will be waiting along with  and :love2: . I feel soooo sorry for poor Chris. He hasn't had an ounce of good luck in a long long time.

Well, got a quote from DU and they did it wrong. I asked for catagory 10 or 11 and instead I got a 9. Great price however. If I originally got my 10 or 11 I would have wonderful savings over the castaway club. Both 10 (except deck 1) and 11 are sold out. Maybe more will come in after the deposits are paid. I just don't know how to go around this mess. I do have an 11 but it is more than the 10 that DU can get me on deck 1. Sue Ellen said that I could do a gty 10 but I still might only get deck 1. Or be put on a wait list for a catagory 10 or just say forget it and keep the 11. Decisions!

I say dont' be picky, Sandy. At least you will be going! And how much time will you be in the room anyway??? (In reality, I'd be stressing over those decisions) :p

:wave2: Good-bye Denine, Jerry and Kaleigh! Have a wonderful time at the House of Mouse!! Enjoy the sunshine!:earboy2:

Heidi - Sorry about Chris' problems. Hang in there! Still waiting to go to DC....:scratchin I wonder when it will be

Bonnie - the weekend is almost here. Take advantage of the time away from work and reenergize. Call anytime you need someone to talk to.

Happy early Birthday to Makenzie :cake: :bday: :flower1:

Jeanne - we need an update on your love life. You haven't said anything in a while. Is everything ok? :lovestruc

Where's Sally? She hasn't posted in a while. She must be working hard in her yard. I sure could use her here on ours. I could also use her to get my scrapbook of Turner's hockey "career" started instead of having everything is boxes!! Help!!!!

I took some time to add some smilies!! I'm in a really good mood. The weather here is just gorgous!!!:sunny:

Love you guys.
Later!

Susan, just read your post....yes, I have been working in the yard.....doing the front now and the weather has been so hot I have to keep coming in and cooling off.

I wish I was close to you..... I sure would help you with Turners scrapbook. I started working on my son's cruise one again after a layoff of a month...I really miss scrapbooking but just have had so much to do.

Good tv tonight!!!!

Everything that can be packed is packed. The alarm is set for 5 AM. Can't wait!

Heidi: I hope everything worked out. Friends is on in 15 minutes.

Sally: I wish I could work in my yard as much as you!

Sue: Great smilies!

Sandy: I don't know what I would do. It may just be easier to stick with what you have. A bird in the hand...

I hope you all have a great weekend!

See you all in a couple of weeks! :wave2:  :Pinkbounc :sunny: :moped: :cool1: :mickeybar :cloud9: :flower1:

Hi guys,

How nice to see a long AND decorated post from Susan. You definitely are in great spirits. And look what you did....you brought out Sally. Hi Sally :wave2: . You can come and do my lawn. We killed some grass and now need to seed it.

Bye Denine, . Remember all of us stuck at home. Have a great time. I am sure that DU sent a quote to you. It is AOL's problem for a lot of people. My quote was there. The spam just wasn't allowing it through.

Sue Ellen is going to try and transfer my Castaway Club reservations to DU and cancel their catagory 9 and I should be able to keep the discount and the catagory 11. She has been so wonderful to work with.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY MAKENZIE!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

I am making cookies for her to take to school tomorrow.

Bye Denine, Jerry and Kaleigh!:wave2: Have a great time and give Mickey a hug from all of us!

Sandy, way to go on your cruise!!! Wish I could go with you guys!

Have a great day everyone! It will be a busy day for me.....clean, clean, clean!!!!

Friends was disappointing to me. It was unrealistic....how could you take 2 babies home before Ross got back from the airport (and the twins weren't even born yet when he was taking them to the airport) and then not know about the twins but have a double stroller? I think it could have been better if they put more thought into it. But it didn't stop me from crying. Happy that Rachel and Ross got together but still thought it could have been better.

Chris is not sure what to do regarding his car. He is very stressed because he can pay for it in 2 weeks when he gets paid but then he is upset that he won't have any money to buy his girls and I birthday presents at the end of the month. I told him that I don't need presents and that I have presents for his girls that we can put both our names on. Hope that helps him put his mind at ease and reduce the stress.

Denine - Have so much fun and think of all of us. Eat a frozen banana for me :)

Susan - Haven't heard anything back from DC yet...not sure if they really liked our findings of them not doing their jobs!!! Just waiting on them. I promise I will let you know the second I know!

princess: Happy Birthday Makenzie!!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND :sunny:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAKENZIE! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Good morning guys,

Julie, you could share some of those cookies with us. I love fresh warm cookies.

Mornin' Bonnie.

Heidi, I obviously didn't see into Friends as deep as you did. Now that you pointed it out, you are right. Oh well, I am glad that it wasn't a huge cry like I was expecting. It was just a regular cry for me. Chris can have my gifts for the girls as well. Anything to help the poor guy out.

Did I ever tell you guys that Chris has twin 6 year old girls? When we had dinner with them over Chris' birthday one of them looked at me and asked if we are now their grandparents. It was so sweet. They asked Heidi if they get to be in the wedding. Chris and Heidi haven't talked marriage but the TWINS have. They love Heidi. :love1:

Wasn't feeling up to par yesterday but I seem to be doing better today. Running to a friends house to sort quilting scraps. Will talk to you all tomorrow.

Oh my gosh you guys, I just heard from Sue Ellen with DU. She switched my reservations over from the Castaway Club to DU and saved me 450.00. Wow. That will be good for a plane ticket!

FIRST OF ALL: HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS MACKENZIEprincess:

SECOND: No word from Bobby:sad:. We had an argument two weeks ago & I hung up & I knew he wouldn't call. He talked to me in a very "hurtful" way. I guess it's over....

SANDY: You need to call me AGAIN. My quote with DU was the exact same amount as quoted by Castaway Club but I want to compare room numbers.

BONNIE: If you're interested in this cruise with the Dudettes give me a call.

Hope you all have a terrific weekend. GOOOOO FLYERS :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :thewave: 3:00 PM today. Sorry about Colorado Heidi. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Good morning everyone.

I had a very busy, physically and mentally draining day yesterday. So glad that it is OVER. I was just helping a friend who has an elderly Aunt living in the house. We were going through her things. I felt so sorry for the Aunt. They considered everything junk and it is treasures for her. I would take them aside and tell them that it is all that she has. Someone had to come to her rescue!

Jeanne, I will call you now. I know I put my ressies in with DU before you and Denine. I bet they did it first come and that is why I got in on the tier that I did. I am sorry that I was posting my joy and you didn't get it.

I know Heidi won't post on the weekends so this is from her to you Jeanne. I know she promised you if the Avs lost she would back the Flyers so................
GO FLYERS !! :cheer2: :thewave: :cheer2:
