October 19th Cruisers again and again...

I know I have been inkognito for awhile (I haven't even been lurking, eeeek.)

We leave for Disney tomorrow and I am totally winging this trip. Wanted to see if anyone had any last minute tips or tricks for us. Will be going with my parents and Clare, no David this time.

Denine: I know that you told me something in answer to my question about parking at the Wilderness Lodge, but I can't remember the exact response.

Do you think we could park at WL and take the boat to MK??? Do you think anyone would "catch" us? I don't think we had an arm band, etc when we stayed there last, to get on the boat??!!

Good morning everyone. Once again running late.

Krista, we rode the boat from MK to WL in Dec and they weren't asking for id's or arm bands or anything. It was easy. We were staying at ASMo. I doubt that they would "catch you".

Krista: Enjoy your WDW trip! We leave 1 week from tomorrow! When you drive up to the gat at WL, tell them you want to eat at one of the restaurants but don't have ressies. From there, you should be able to catch the boat to the MK.

Trying to decide if I should put hardwood flooring in the kitchen and morning room as well as the foyer and powder room. I decided against the granite counters for now. They were $5700 and I couldn't justify the cost. With the flooring, I finally got rid of my vinyl about 3 years ago and put in laminate. I really hate to go back to vinyl. Of course, we could wait a few more years and put in a laminate, but that is going to cost more than the wood flooring now. UGGHHH!!!

Also still trying todo research on washers and dryers. I really want a high effiency one. There are a lot more options than the Neptune and they are apparently better. I didn't even know Maytag was bought out by Frigidare. I guess they arent as good as they used to be.

We bought a new lawn mower last night. Now, the grass needs to be cut. There really isn't any time for Jerry to go to work! I need him here!

Met with a realtor last night. She seemed good enough, but she was freaked out by Ollie. She doesn't like cats! ANother one is coming tonight.

Heidi: What a nice guy to put your certificate in a frame.

Sandy: I guess we won't see you guys on the May cruise. I will be on that ship!

Lori: I have thought about getting a pedometer to see how many steps I take in a day. I think your are suppsed to try for 3000.

Lots of running around this morning & then over to my Mom's & Aunt's to make them dinner. Already over this AM to explain my Aunt's pills to her AGAIN!

SANDY: I called the Disney Cruise Line & they say that they haven't heard anything about a transition cruisebut have already received calls inquiring about the cruise. I did send a quote request to DU.

Where is Bonnie? I'm going to have to find that girl!

Dodger is such a good dog. We went to the park today & enjoyed the sunshine .

Hello everyone. All this talk about going to WDW and DCL...anyone want to take a nice girl along? I could volunteer.

Today is my friday and I am so glad, I need a day to sleep in.

Jeanne - I have to say that in order for the Avalanche to win the cup, your flyers have to lose...sorry. Too bad the Avs were close to being shutout by the Sharks, thank god Sakic scored the goal in OT.

Hi guys. Still burning those calories boy oh boy I'll tell ya. Just walking up and down the aisles selecting wines on sale, burned enough to drink a glass. I'm getting so into this. Actually bought lots of healthy food to load the fridge up with. Eating salmon for lunch right now and everything.
I am NOT on a diet, however. Whenever I say that I am, I have to rebel and end up gaining weight.

Julie, how's the battle of the meds coming along? Are you winning?

Lori, speaking of wine , have you ever gone over to Lucas at Park Meadows? I really like that place and of course Applejacks is great for sales also. Lucas is where I got that yummy moscato that we took on the cruise with us. Ah heck, diet and you? You don't need one anyway.

Denine, I bet your head is really spinning with all the ordering. Hang in there, you are almost done. Someone is actually freaked out by a CAT??? Come on people it is a cat! That really cracks me up.

What a perfect day! The weather could not have been better. The only thing missing from my life is BOB Dodgerhas been so good, I almost hate to give him back tomorrow. The cat saga goes on.... The cast is still on!

I have been caring for my Mom & Aunt. My Aunt was the most independent person you could ever meet & she has changed into this anxious, totally dependent person almost overnight. She does not want to be left alone so it means someone has to stay with them all day & night. The bad thing is she only has two children - one son in this area & a daughter in N.C. so we are trying to divide the staying with them between myself, my cousin & our two sons. We are working on some changes:confused2. I think I am looking forward to going to work this weekend!

Supposed to be another beautiful day tomorrow. I'm going to try to send some of this wonderful weather your way. Toodles JEANNE

Don't worry, Jeanne. I am here. You can talk to me. We don't have the nice weather you are having. We are getting rain/snow for the last couple of days. But as you know, there are no complaints. 80's will be back early next week. Your poor Aunt. Losing independence is hard but then to go so far on the other spectrum. I know you have been puttling in a lot of time with both your mom and her. Honestly, you deserve a standing ovation. :thewave: A lot of people have trouble with just a parent and you have taken on an Aunt also. Way to go Jeanne!

I am doing the happy dance. Just got a call and I don't get the kids. While it is unfortunate that Graci is sick I get the day off. Yahoo!

And.......for those of you feeling sorry for Heidi. She got her dentist appt changed again and earlier than the first. It really worked out great! Today is the day.

Jeanne: I am not surprised that DCL "said" they didn't know anything about the transitional cruise since it won't be announced until next week. You know how Disney is. Everything has to be Hush, hush until it is officially announced.

We pick out our colors this afternoon. I hve decided to go with the hardwood floor in the kitchen and morning room.

Interviewed another agent last night. She seemed really good. The agent that sold our condo and who is representing us with the new house is going to have his work cut out for him on Monday. But, he wanted to be the last to present to us.

Was nice enough yesterday. It is starting to rain now though. Supposed to go back to the low 50's come Sunday. It just won't warm up for any amount of time.

Lori, the pictures of the new family addition were adorable! You guys make a great looking family.

Well, the medicine escapade is doing. I finally figured that if I mix a little Hershey's chocolate syrup in with the yucky pink liquid, the Big Guy takes it. I have to agree with the Big Guy that this med is yucky!! The smell of it makes ME sick! But I don't let him know that.

Our big maple tree in that backyard came down Wed. We had to get it removed in order to get the driveway replaced. The roots were doing a good number on the driveway. While the tree was coming down, Makenzie and the Big Guy went bowling with her preschool class. This was the first time the Big Guy went, and he LOVED IT!! Garry and I took all three kids (my aunt went with my nephew and so she watched Brooke while we helped the other three). Makenzie had high score 92. Joshua (my nephew) got a 77 and the Big Guy got a 70. Not bad for 3 and 4 year olds! (OK, it was bumper bowling, but still not bad!)

Denine, Heidi said "she's there". Gosh, you know what that kid did?? She got a quote for 103.00 roundtrip to Orlando on Wed. and on Thurs it was gone. She waited too long for her and for telling us. We would have spent Mother's Day in Orlando. We WERE all excited. I told her never to put off telling me on a deal like that.

Julie, sorry the tree had to go but they sure can do some damage to concrete and also plumbing! Heidi and I thought that choc syrup and medicine sounds terribly disgusting. But hey, if he takes it more power to him.

Had a great day alone with Heidi. We went clothes shopping for work clothes for her and had a nice lunch. She bought me an "I love you" gift. The Disney Store had Jiminy mugs. So cute!! Thanks Heidi!

What a busy week this has been. Work has been extremely busy with barely time to inhale something for lunch and off to another meeting. Somehow with all the work I did manage to get a training class in yesterday.

Thursday I went to dinner with the gang that I do deep water aerobics with in the summer. Believe it or not, the outdoor pool is opening on May 18th and classes begin. That water will be so cold but I'll do it. After losing 18 pounds during the past year, I have somehow put 10 back on. This has got to STOP today!!

Denine, I'll bet it was just the dollar signs behind the Realtor's 'freak' over Ollie. People with pet allergies won't buy a house that's had a cat. Somehow, even with paint and new carpet, the allergens are still present enough to cause trouble. So she probably was looking at it as a percentage of lost buyers. Sounds like she likes to take the EASY routes. The others will just make you appreciate your other guy more, huh?

Went with friends to see a friends band play last night. So, yesterdays 10 hours of work, followed by a night of wild dancing brought my step count to 6,918. Ha, won't be seeing THAT again too soon. I think I out-ate the burned calories with nachos and beer though

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. My parents are taking the kids for an over-nighter tonight. Yippee! We have reservations for dinner and then on to see Jesus Christ Superstar. Should be a great night. I love the songs from that production. I'll have to bite my tongue not to sing them louder than the performers.

Please send pixie dust to Faith's daughter Kristy. She was just told by her eye doctor that she is losing her eyesight because of diabetes. They have decided to take a mini vacation to WDW next week to cheer her. God bless her. She has been through so much. For that fact, they both have!
