Sophia is pretty cute. I think that she is very responsible. I found that to be true with the redhead on the council (can't remember her name) but when she got voted off she was kind of childish. Michael is a good person. Now, Greg and Blaine, well, it depends on the day. LOL I do know however, that they are all kids! I don't know anyone else that watches it either Barb. I think Stacey and Richard do.

Hi guys! Well the suitcases are packed! I think this is the first time I have been packed so early. We will wear our jeans and jackets on the airplane and then we have an assortment of clothing for any type of weather. I believe, if we don't have any "last minute" stuff, I have ALL the clothing, crocs, beauty stuff into 2 large suitcases!!!:cool1: We are staying in a 1 bedroom at Wilderness Lodge so I have access to a washer and dryer in the room so that made packing easier!! I got the Owner's Locker for our last trip in June so A LOT and I mean A LOT of stuff is in there so I don't have to pack it up here. It will be delivered to Wilderness Sat morning and will be there when we go to check in. It really is a neat idea! What it is, it is a huge rubbermaid type of container that you can put all sorts of things in and they will drop it off and pick it up for you. You can keep track of it's location on the web site and you can make a sheet of what you have in it so you don't have to pack it again. It costed about $90 annually I think, with one free "visit". Any extra in a year would cost $25 ( for the plan I got. There are others that include all visits). The containers are stored in a climate controled warehouse and each container is "locked" by the owner each visit.

Let's see, just off the top of my head, We have stored in our locker: 1 twin areo bed, 6 raincoats, liter bottle of shampoo and conditioner, 2 beach towels, sun screen, off bug spray, tylenol, pal mickey, a tote bag, colapseable(sp) cooler, tide pen, bleach pen, hair rubberbands, bandaides, lg bottle of purell, can of air freshener, some bedtime pull ups for Brooke, can of shaving cream and I think mouth wash. I believe there is something (s) I'm forgetting, but my sheet is upstairs. SO, that is why I got all of our clothes and belongs into 2 suitcases. http://www.ownerslocker.com/ If you want to look into it.

Things are going great with the kids. The kids teachers are sooooooo workable with them taking off for a week. They will send some work with them, but said they can do the rest when they get back and that they will not take long to catch up. Makenzie has a "How To" speech to do when she gets back. She has to do it on the 13th. She thinks she will do it on how to make a chocolate milkshake. It has to have at least 4 steps to it. If anyone else has an idea, we are open for anything.

Well, that's it I guess. We leave on Saturday around 10:30ish in the morning. Denine and Jerry leave at noon. We are flying Southwest for the first time, so it should be interesting. It is a non stop so that's good and the you couldn't beat the PRICE!!!!

Heidi, sorry to hear that work is being so yucky right now! Hang in there! Garry has been having a horrible time at work too, but his is due to a chief who doesn't want to make a decision.

Barb, I haven't gotten into watching kid nation. I'm a survivor and dancing with the stars fan right now. I do like kitchen nightmares too! This writers strike is going to kill TV!

Sandy, I have a great place to hang your quilt..... right here! LOL!!! I can't wait to see a picture of it.

Everyone's secret santa packages should be in the mail or by the end of this
week should be in the mail. I know I was waiting for an item for my person and it finally came, so my person SHOULD get it by next week! I HOPE!

I got mine!!!!!!! I will open it before we leave!!!!

Well, I guess that is about it for now. I will be back on tomorrow!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow. So I think this snow storm kind of creeped up on us. I know they said we might get some snow but most would be up in the mountains but there is a few inches out there right now and pretty big snowflakes.

Barb - Drive careful, the roads where really slick and bad since the snow plows didn't get out before the storm.

Good Morning!

Julie- I had no idea you were going to Disney too. See what happens when you stay away I lose track of what you are doing!
You probably said something and I just forgot. That locker sounds really cool. Do you think you would have one if you did not have the kids? I have debated when you first told us about it but not sure I would need to store that much. Love the list I was wondering what would go in it. that would make it a lot easier. Hummmm:rolleyes: I noticed you stay at Wilderness a lot do you like it the best? We usually stay at Saratoga because that is where some of our points are. I prefer Beach Club our other resort but since we always get the 2 bedroom I can make my points go farther plus when my parents go my Dad likes zooming over to DTD to get Earl of Sandwich. I would like to stay at Wilderness sometime though.

Kid Nation tonight!!!:cool1: I agree with you Sandy about Laurel. She really was mature until last week. Tiffany really likes Greg I think he is a total trouble maker. I can't stand Mike the crybaby. Drives me nuts! Those kids sure have endured a lot all kinds of weather too. Wonder why they stay must be because they know they are on TV. That really is a long time away from their families. Taylor has surprised me how long she has stayed. I thought the "Beauty Queen" would be one of the first to leave.

Julie: Can't wait to get there on Saturday! Kaleigh is really looking forward to seeing the kids.

We may get the Owner's Locker, but not this trip. Too many medical bills, so we may get it for the next trip.

We had sooo much fun at Whispering Canyon with the whole gang. I thought it would be fun to celebrate my 40th birthday there. I am going out of my comfort zone and hoing they make a big deal out of it.

THe doc says my toe looks great. I need to go back in December one more time and then hopefully that will be that.

Tomorrow is the last day of school before 2 weeks off.

Never heard of Kid Nation.

Enchanted was pretty good. Kaleigh enjoyed it and now wants the movie, of course! She would like to see it again, but we said it costs too much to see a movie. It is a once in a while treat.

Most all of my stuff is ready to go in suitcases on Friday. Just need to wait for the laundry to be done so I can pack underwear and socks. I will do Kaleigh's tomorrow. Looks like it is gonna be cold for MVMCP. Kaleigh and I are wearing matching snowman sweaters.

Heidi: Sorry you are having a hard time at work right now.

Sandy: HOw did your doctor visit go?

Barb: We tried to stay at Wilderness this trip, but we can only book the 7 months out. We got wait listed, but never got in. We like OKW, but it isn't very Christmasy. We have stayed there one time.

I finally got my delivery, so I can get my Secret Santa mailed this week. I just have to pack the box.

Denine-Sounds like Wilderness is really popular. Does Julie own in that resort is that why she was able to get a reservation and you wern't? Is it Christmasy? Sounds nice now I want to stay there!

Hoooo hummmmm I am so tired.......zzzzzzzz...........zzzzzzzzz
Where is everyone?

Barb - I am busy working!!! I missed my lunch posting, too busy but now I am slowing down the day and decided to jump back on!!

I'm here. I just had the best unexpected day!! Great weight loss and Stacey was up here and I didn't know about her coming. I got to spend some time with her and the kids. I just miss them sooo much. I treasure all the time I can get!

Julie, when we went to WDW with Heidi and Chris the teachers sent so much homework with the girls. I felt so bad for the girls AND Heidi and Chris. You are lucky! I have read about those containers. You were soooo smart to get one. It wouldn't be worth it for us but:thumbsup2 for you and a family. Jeanne and Joyce will be there Dec 9th.

Barb, Laurel, that's right. I just couldn't come up with her name. How was the drive to work for you? By the time I got out it had started melting. Luckily!:thumbsup2

Denine, good to hear about your toe. I was surprised to see the fast turnaround on it. We were at WDW one time right after Christmas and it was so cold. I mean cold. The stores sold out of hats and gloves. Remember Heidi? Just remember to pack for warmth. They said that it was unusual to be that cold. Hopefully your party won't be that bad. Don't know the blood work results yet. Get this, my temperature was 93.4. They tried two ear thermometers and they both read the same.

Missing all of you guys!:grouphug:

Hi guys!

Sandy, Makenzie and Garry's teachers are sending some work for them, BUT since they miss a week, they get a week to make up the work. BUT, on the airplane, they can do their work and during the down time we have in the resort.

Barb, Garry and I own at the Boardwalk and at Wilderness too. We love wilderness at Christmas time. It's just soooo home-y and holiday-ish! The Boardwalk is also sooooooo nice at Christmas, but there is something about that huge fireplace in the lobby and the smaller one in the villas that just seem to say Happy Holidays. There are LOTS of people who own a locker that are just a married couple or even single people as well. I didn't think that I would be able to fill one and we are thinking about getting another one!!! You can store bottled water, a pair of crocs, sandles, beach towels, some people even bring and store their own sheets! Slippers, special disney shirts, small appliances like crock pots, brita water filters and pitchers etc.. If you even think about getting one, go to the owners locker site and read what people store. I forgot in our locker we have a colapse-able clothes hamper too! Those are great if you have a studio to put dirty clothes in to take down to the washers. We use it for the kids, since they are use to putting clothes in the hamper when they are dirty.

Heidi, I hope your at work goes better today then yesterday.

Denine, WOW only a day of school and 2 weeks off! Are you going to have school during the week of Christmas? If not, boy is Kaleigh lucky! I would say my kids would love that school schedule, but I really think they like their school schedules. Garry loves music class! He has a male teacher for that and I think he likes the idea of different teachers. Makenzie, she just loves everything!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back later!

Good Morning!

Julie-Now you have me wanting to spend next Christmas at Wilderness! Is it hard to get in? We usually go to Disney over New Years. I want to get some more points but not that thrilled with Animal Kingdom. Wonder what will be next. I have heard rumors that they are going to build on to the Contempory.
The Locker sounds really cool. I may just have to do that. Now that we have Ethan it would be nice to keep some stuff down there.

Tonight is Cirque Du Soleil YAY!!:cool1: We are taking Ethan hope he likes it.

Sandy-Congrats on the weight loss! Glad you had a good day.

Heidi-No morning post:confused3

Barb - you beat me to posting. I was too busy reading my emails and trying to come up with Christmas ideas for my mom!! You have to report back about Cirque Du Soleil and how the show was. I am so excited for you to go. I have never been to one of their shows before.

I remember the time we were down there and it was soooooo cold. It was actually warmer in CO then FL at that time. Gloves, hats, jackets we had to wear. You could even see your breathe it was that cold.

Wow Julie, that is a lot of stuff you store. What a great idea. I would love to be a member of DVC, but too expensive for us. Maybe my long lost rich uncle will by me DVC for my wedding gift. lol

Denine - I am so jealous that you get to go to FL again in such a short time.

My best friend's son turns 4 tomorrow. Wow has the time flown, I remember he was 9 months old when they moved to FL.

Julie: we weren't supposed to have 2 weeks off, but with Kaleigh's surgery the day after we return... We have been doing school on the weekend to make up for it. We just finished 7 days in a row and only 1 day off before that. I was going to take the week off before Christmas, but that isn't happening now. Only 12 more lessons and we are at the halfway point.

Sandy: Congrats on the great weigh in! I gained 5 pounds on our last trip. I have been doing the treadmill, but with Thanksgiving, I was just happy not to gain. I have soooo much weigh to lose. Hopefully I can finally join Curves after the first of the year. Everytime I want to join, something happens.

Heidi: We have been cold in December. The last time, they had a cold snap before we got there and didn't have much in the way of Christmas sweatshirts to choose from. We have some warmer clothes ready to be packed, plus we will have jackets. We were there another time when they were having record rains and everything at WDW was flooding.

Barb: We only own at OKW, and WL is VERY popular at Christmas just for the reasons that Julie mentioned. At 7 months out, it was already booked up.

I have to drop close to 30 books off at the library this evening. We use the library a lot with school.

Julie: Did you ever make ressies at Germany?

Everytime now that I have to pull all the toiletries out to pack along with the pharmacy I wish I had the owner's locker. It would be so much easier to have it all down there. It is just a lot of money for the convenience. Jerry is always telling me the stuff people put in their lockers. It would be nice to keep wine glasses and a cork screw in there along with a citronella candle and matches.

I won't be on until tomorrow evening. Jerry is working from home tomorrow.

Hi guys!

Denine, I didn't make Germany ressies yet. I either forgot or didn't realize that I was suppose to do it. Sorry! I'm sure we will be able to get in for eithe lunch or dinner.

The Lockers are great! For as many times as you go down it should be a must for you guys! people store un-opened bottles of wine, wine glasses corkscrews, un-opened cans of tuna, peanut butter, cans of pop, dry swimsuits for each member of the family, trading pins, annual passes, candles, laundry soap and dryer sheets, zip lock bags, winn dixie card, tooth brushes (we have these in our locker I forgot and we also have goggles for the kids, sand toys.) and that's only a few things that others have packed! I was really thinking about getting a second one for beverages, and the laundry soap ( I do have dryer sheets in owns now, but I really packed it all in! It was soooooooooo heavy!!! LOL!!) Some people put their robes in there with their slippers, crayons for the kids, coloring books, extra batteries, blank video tapes, some have night lights, DVD's. It was soooooo worth it just for the rain coats!!!! LOL!

The weather is going to go full circle when we are down there. It will be near 80 for Sat, Sun and Mon, then a cold snap around 40/50's then it warms back up at the end of the week and weekend from what I see. SO, we will need all types of clothes!! Which I packed. We have been down there where we needed our winter coats and another time it was sooooo warm, I had only brought a pair of shorts for everyone and we wore them everyday! Thank goodness for the free washers back then! I do have a pair of gloves for everyone packed just in case it gets that cold! SO.... we shall see! We will have internet so I will try and post everyday to give you an idea of what's going on!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back later!

Barb, let us know how the show is! How fun for you!

Heidi, are you going to celebrate you friends son's birthday? Did you say that this was your friend that lives in Florida?

Sandy, is (Ok my mind just went blank on her name...) your friend who worked at Figment still working there? I have tried to meet her and each time I have asked for her, she is off! LOL!! But if I can't remember her name, I can't ask for her! :rotfl: All that is coming to mind is April I know that's not right.

Ok, gonna go now!

I have to tell you this :lmao: :lmao:

Tiffany is really stressed right now in school Tis the season. She also hates to fly the last 2 trips she has taken home she has had problems. In October she had to spend the night in Georgia because of weather. This past trip back to school the plane had problems so she was stuck for about 4 hours.
I got a email from her just now telling me how stressed she is with school so I wrote back and told her I guess this was not the best time to tell her I was not able to get her a flight home in December because everything is booked. Then I sent one to her told her I finally found one with 3 layovers averaging an hour and a half each. :lmao: :lmao:

man I love having kids!
