Yes that was a good memory! We were all so excited about Kaleigh! Remember Brooke we went through that entire pregnancy with Julie and waited patiently for her to be born. Then it was Patty's grandbaby then Ethan, Tylor and Joey, Bonnies grandbabies and Zoey. Next Heidi's wedding and maybe babies for her too!!

What a great Disney family we have!
I think this thread was started over again when Julie was still pregnant with Brooke!!!! Definitely babies for me too!!!!!!

Last night we helped (okay my dad, Chris and BIL helped while we played with the babies) my aunt, uncle and cousins move. It was a very cold move and difficult with the ice. They are going to continue to move today and it is snowing!!!! Today I am hanging out with my sister, my n&n, and my mom.

I got to talk to Julie last night, she called my cell phone. It was so good to hear her voice. She still sounds stressed out, but I was excited to see her name pop up on my caller ID!!!

I love our Dis family. I will never let it die. Even if it is me talking to myself!!

Just popping in to say hi. No time to chat.

Good Morning!

Went to see "Ghost Rider" Last night. WEIRD! Going to clean and shampoo carpets today. BLAH!

Hi guys, been busy moving my brother this weekend. It is done, thankfully. Then went bowling with Heidi and family and my niece and nephew. It was really fun. I've got a cold and ready to just veg out!

Good morning. Had a pretty good weekend, a few tears on Friday and Saturday. Found out that my sister is moving May 1st and not October like I originally thought on Friday and then on Saturday they told my aunt, uncle, cousins about moving.

I also have a cold that I am struggling with so I am staying low today. I think moving in the cold weather made it worse. I hope you all have a great Sunday. Mine will be filled with laundry and grocery shopping!!!

I am here. SOOO tired today. We went out with Julie and Garry to dinner and then back to their house. We didn't get to be until 3 AM. Anna Marie watched the 3 kids while we went to dinner. Makenzie was at a slumber party. A fun time was had by all.

Snowing here too.

Sandy: I will never live down that comment! Hope yo feel better. It took me and Kaleigh forever to get over our colds.

Heidi: Hope you feel better too.

Let me see, a memory about when we first started this thread.... What I remember most is when we found out about Kaleigh, just 2 weeks before our cruise. We met Garry and Julie at a now defunct restaurant and she brought us baby gifts. Then, since we had back to back cruises, each group kind of had a baby shower for us. We will never forget that! Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we had decided to take Kaleigh home 2 weeks earlier and not go on the cruise. I think I wouldn't have this bunch of great friends. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten sick and then gotten Kaleigh sick and she wouldn't have ended up in the hospital. We would have had Kaleigh's baby shower. But again, I wouldn't have all of you.

I need to go to the mall to pick up my other ring getting the stone tightend. I also need to go to the store for milk, but I don't feel like going out.

I did do 20 minutes on the treadmill.

I can't think of anything else right now.

So far it has been a lazy day here. Ted went to work to do something for a friend and then they are going out for breakfast. I am here doing nothing.

Hi all....

Got home around 3:30 Sunday afternoon.....had a wonderful time.

First, we left the Springs when Barb did. Jason drove our van....Dick's back was still hurting him so he rode with an ice pack on it. Jason was so much fun to be with...he is very funny and doesn't try to be. Made the trip go pretty fast. We stayed in a motel the first night on the road and Jason stayed in our room...they had the fatest pillows in the world. Dick can't sleep on anything but a flat pillow so Jason had his with him and gave it to Dick to sleep on....of course he and I complained about our fat pillows then to make Dick feel guilty...did it work...NO!

We got to San Antonio Thursday and went to the place where we were to met Jaymee....she looked tired but great. She was her bubbly old self and was surprised to see Dick and I. She must have told me a half dozen times how happy she was we came. I am so proud of her.....she told us some of the things they had to do and there is no way I could have done it in my younger days. She said she can do 7l pushups in l and half minutes...wow!
and 54 situps. She was so tan and she showed us her muscles....our sweet little Jaymee is buff!!!

I asked her if all the running and exercising before she went in the AF helped. She said yes, but she thought she was in good shape but now she knows she is.

Graduation was very impressive....they said something like 37,000 people will be going through there this year. They graduate a class every Friday...don't know how many flights there were this time but must have been l0 or so.

We went to see Jaymee's dorm after we took pictures of Bob, Jason and Jaymee together....they all had their uniforms on and looked so great. I can't begin to tell you how very, very proud I am of Jaymee. Here is this pretty little blonde, blue eyed girl going through some really tough training and coming out a young woman.

I can understand why it is such a tough training. Here comes a bunch of young people that for the most part are not discipled and the IT has to shape them up in 6 weeks to be a responsible member of the Air Force. I think it takes a special person to make it. I have a son, his daughter, my son in law, grandson and grandaughter that have all made it. No wonder I am a proud mom and grandmother!

Jaymee had the day off Saturday and we went to the River Walk.....it was hard for Dick to walk around so Barb's went to the Rain Forrest down the street from the mall and Dick and I ate there and then left for Linda's.

We were at Linda's from Saturday until the following Friday when we went to Patti's. Linda and I scrapbooked all week...what else is there to do in San Saba:rotfl2: When I called Linda to tell her we got home safely she was at church and her husband told me the house next door burned down. That is the most excitement they have had there for months.....

When I was at Patti's she wanted me to help her finish decorating her new office...which is beautiful....and also the living room. So we went to Hobby Lobby and got loads of flowers and also arrangements. We had to make two trips but I think everything turned out great. She is happy and that is all that is necessary.

Well it is 2:30 in the morning so guess I will go to bed. I was there once and woke up. Glad to see the snow has melted and this week is going to be fairly warm....

Sally - sounds liek you had a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing all the details with us.

Came in to work today to find out they moved my computer to a new cubicle. We are not supose to move for another month when the next phase starts, but the power happy secretary decided last friday (when I was gone) to move my stuff to get a head start. So now instead of being gone for a month from my windows I will be gone 2 months!!! I hate this, I feel like I am living in a dungeon.

Barb - how are you doing? Your church was on the news last night so I was hoping you were doing okay.

Welcome back sally. Sounds like you had a great time.

I would like to live just about anywhere but here. It is supposed to be in the 20's today and tomorrow. It was only 28 yesterday. Going to be 10 tonight. It is snowing. We are supposed to get "up" to 45 on Thursday. Yippee

We never did go anywhere yesterday.

Heidi: Jerry worked in a "dungeon" for a lot of years. He was no where near a window. He is happy now that he moved because he has access to windows.

Hi and bye for now. We might be able to bring the trailer home today. Wish you could have made it Heidi!

Hi guys! Long time, no see/hear. Garry and I would like to thank EVERYONE for all their thoughts and prayers through this rough time. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL!!! It made our day to see them. Anna Marie and Garry were the first to notice them. That day was crazy! We had all the kids with us for the afternoon calling hours. However, one of Garry's dispatchers came at 3pm and took the three "little ones" for the rest of the day and evening. She met my mom at our house so my mom could get them ready for bed. The kids had a blast with her. And it helped us too so we weren't worrying what the kids were doing at the funeral home. I must say, they were very well behaved for the almost 2 hours they were there.
Garry's "family in Blue" made a great showing both days. We had the Mayor, safety director, law director, personal director, assistant service director, economic developement officer, fire chief, court clerk, several secretaries from city hall, most of the auxillary police officers, and all except for maybe 5 officers come to the calling hours(I'm sure that I have forgotten some more of the "city officials"). Not to mention almost all of my aunts and uncles and several cousins. You all were with us as well!! Everytime I looked at the flowers, I smiled! Not to mention the friendly faces of Denine and Jerry in a VERY unfriendly atmosphere! (I'll explain that more later!)
Then on wednesday, the department sent 3 motorcycles, 2 marked cruisers and one unmarked cruiser to the funeral. It was a wonderful scene and honor for both Garry and his dad. Garry said "his dad went home in style". It was a very nice.

It was nice to go out to dinner with Denine and Jerry the other night. We had lots of fun and laughs which was needed! They got to hear in great detail of the unpleasantness we had to undergo. Long story, but the shorter story goes............ Garry and I had been at his dads since early thursday morning. We stayed up with his dad both Thursday and Friday nights since EVERYONE else and I mean EVERYONE went to bed. Then Sat came and we stayed with him all day and evening and we hear Garry's dad's wife start to bash Garry. Now she had been drinking since 11am and I won't get into everything that was said, but Garry's brother also started in on the Garry bashing along with a friend of the family. Needless to say Garry and I were floored at what was being say and decided to to not make a scene, but to leave the house in which we were not welcomed at. So we left and a few hours later, his dad passed. The whole incident just made us sick to our stomachs. So Garry and I were the black sheep the entire week. No one talked to us. That was his dad's wife, her 4 children and thier family and Garry's brother and his family. Thank goodness for the family in blue , Denine and Jerry, and Garry's mother's side of the family.

Well, this post is getting long, so I'm gonna go. I'll be back! Thanks again~!

Julie - good to see you posting again. So sorry you and Gary had to deal with all that BS. You definitely get to see the "best" in people when someone passes away. Glad you enjoyed the flowers. It was so g ood talking to you this passed weekend.

So today I have to take off work early. Last night when we got home from seeing my parents new trailer, we saw Sable's eye really red and swollen. I wanted to rush her off to the emergency vet, but Chris made me wait. Later on in the night her eye went down and wasn't as red so I wasn't worried. This morning we wake up and her entire face is swollen and almost doubled in size. We thought she has an allergy to something, but nothing has changed. Someone today at work mentioned that maybe she has an infection due to the stitches that were put in a little under 2 weeks ago...so now I am really worried. Her appointment is at noon today so I will take off at 11:00.

Good Morning

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday SUPER busy typing letters all day. Our computers were soooo slow yesterday too. It was so frustrating!

Yes once again my church is in the news. There were 44 people layed off. The senior staff and the board decided that since the church's budget was really tight prior to Ted's leaving and the giving has gone down so it was decided to make some budget cuts so when a new Senior Pastor is chosen he will not have come in and lay people off. Ted will be moving out of Colorado Springs. I am heartbroken but the board felt that it was the best decision for both Ted and the church. There is so much media attention on Ted's every move Ted and the church have not been able to heal and move forward.

I am looking for ideas....

Tiffany and 5 of her college friends will be here in a couple of weeks. I am planning some fun activities for them and looking for some input. I am going to have Easter dinner on Sunday the 18. The girls will be dying eggs, having an egg hunt and I am making baskets for them. I am going to have a "Pirate Party" for them. I had tee shirts made with Jack Sparrow on it that says "Spring Break 2007" and pillow cases. I figured the girls can sign each other's pillow cases as a special memory of their trip. What I am looking for help with is activities for the "Pirate Party" I am going to grill kabobs and set up my chocolate fountain, I think I will have them make hats out of newspaper and I think I will make a scrap book page kit for each girl to make some scrap book pages. We are going to watch "Pirates of the Carribean" I thought about a treasure hunt but am no good at planning them. Can you think of any fun "Pirate" type fun things to do or make????:scratchin

A treasure hunt would be so much fun!!! I remember at some birthday parties we would get into groups and get a list of items we would need to bring home. We would then go around the neighborhood and ask neighbors for these items and whoever got all the items first (or the most items) in a certain time would win the grand prize!!! I know it's not a treasure hunt, but that reminded me of fun times!!! Too bad we couldn't get a bunch of pirate chocolate coins from the ship!!! Sorry I am not much help. I will think more when I am in my meeting!!
