Barb - Glad your knee is getting better. I'm thinking the tanning bed idea will be a no go, but sending pixie dust your way that it will be the cure for all!!!!

So far Jeanne and Barb like dress #4 with the laces!!!!

Me too....it is really pretty and cute!

Have to shampoo the rest of my carpet today....did most of it yesterday. Suppose to have scrapbook meeting here tonight but it is a freezing rain falling right now so not sure what will happen.

Sally - Chris and I would like to shampoo our carpets too!!! We have to borrow my parents so now when they are gone it would be great....they would never know ;)

I may have to use it on their carpets too since I went to check on their house yesterday and brought in the phone books along with snow sludge from my shoe. I scrubbed the carpets and it looked clean again so I will have to see how it looks today.

Good Morning

Burrrrr it is cold and nasty out. I am sitting here watching the roads get worse and worse. I wanna go home!

Bob started painting Ethan's bedroom last night. The colors I chose are going to look great. I am going to crochet a "Buzz" blanket for him and make his curtains. I hope to get the curtains done tonight. I have missed Ethan but sure have liked having the house stay clean!

Heidi-Do you ever post on the board for the August 2008 cruise? Oh my goodness there are so many people and so many posts it is hard to keep up with.:scared1:

Heidi: All the dresses are so pretty, you look great in all of them. Tough decision, but I like #3. I love the delicate flowers.

I may call the doctor next week if this dizziness doesn't go away. I get nauseous too if it gets too bad. I know it is sinus related or the sinus meds wouldn't work.

Barb: Glad you got some answers about your knee.

Jeanne: That sounds like a fun trip to Nags Head! I want to stay at the Grand Californian some day.

Well, yesterday I thought we were supposed to get 4-8" of snow by tomorrow. It turns out, that is todays snow. More inches tonight and more inches tomorrow. We could have 18" by tomorrow. As if the cold hasn't been enough. This is what happens when we "warm up". Glad I went to the grocery store last night. We could have blizzard conditions by this afternoon. I told Jerry to come home early and then work from home tomorrow. This could put a hamper on everyone's V Day tomorrow. I told JErry not to get me anything tomorrow since we are so tight with the finances right now. He usually gets me chocolate covered strawberries.

I have german potato soup in the crockpot for dinner. Looks like we will be shoveling snow later. Jerry doesn't want me to help, but it is going to be a heavy, wet snow from the south. He can't do it on his own.

That is all for now.

Denine-Please be careful it you help Jerry with the shoveling. It is so hard on your back and there are lots of injuries from it. Soup sounds great to me too. I wish I done that too today.

Sorry...I have been MIA because my internet went down so I haven't had the internet in a couple of days so I am trying to get caught up. The pictures don't do some of the dresses justice but if I remember right I liked the laced one better myself...poor me!!

Barb- glad you found Monkey Bizness. Heidi and I might be going on Friday with the babies...depending on how we are all doing.

I will get caught up later...I need to work on emails now.

Have a good day everyone!

YAY! I just got Roses delivered for Valentines Day. Bob is the best!
they are purple with glitter on them.

Barb - those roses sounds awesome!!!! What a sweetheart. No, I have not posted or read the thread on August 2008......I will when it gets closer!!! Those threads are so hard to keep up with when they move so fast and I hate having to read 10 pages a day just to keep up and get to know everyone!!!

Denine - Be careful!!!! We don't want you hurting your back and feeling dizzy. That wet snow is a mess. It is snowing here and is cold. It is supose to snow tomorrow but no as much as you. They closed down our Washington DC office today because of the weather.

Julie - how are you and Gary doing? I thihnk about you guys often.

Well, it is pretty much a blizzard out there. There is a blizzard warning for the next county over and it may be extended our way. Snow is falling at 1-3" per hour and will fall for the next 10-12 hours. We have some nasty drifts. It was at least 2 feet in front of the garage door already. I was careful shoveling snow, but will have to do it again tomorrow. Thanks for the "be carefuls". We could have 20" by tomorrow. It has been snowing here all day in pretty good amounts, but Jerry said at work it was j ust starting to snow when he left around 12:30 PM. He works close to where Julie lives, so her snowfall total may be a little less, but not much. We haven't had a snowstorm like this in years.

Since Jerry is working from home tomorrow, this is supposed to go until around noon, I won't be on until late, but I am bidding a a Leapster game for Kaleigh and it ends tomorrow. I keep waiting to get outbid, but there are others in the wings as long as I don't want a pink one. For that, it would be cheaper to go to the store and buy it brand new. I am sure Kaleigh won't care if it is green and silver. I want her to have one for all the neat educational games and for the drive to WDW in April.

Barb: Roses, how nice. I love roses and all flowers!

The soup was really good!

Denine - wow that is a lot of snow. Are you buried in snow this morning? We got about 2 inches so far this morning, but not bad at all.

I went to my parents house this morning to drive and walk on the fresh snow so it looks like there was someone there. I will go back and shovel it after work today.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Heidi you are such a thoughtful daughter......most people would not think about doing that.

It is really cold....last I looked it was 9 degrees. We didn't have scrapbook club last night....weather was not good.

I have the second level spring cleaned and now I am going to work on the first level....

Happy Valentine Day everyone.....

It is ice storms in the East! I am so happy that I didn't have to drive to work this morning in the ice/sleet/rain. If this freezes over it is going to be an ice skating rink on the highways!

HEIDI: I showed Joyce your dresses in work yesterday and we both decided you look beautiful in all of them. I do love the flowers on #3 but really love the back on #4!:bride: :bride: :bride: :bride: You really are the best daughter to shovel you parents snow!

DENINE: Don't you dare shovel! I sent you an e-mail.

Where are those Van Horn's? Enjoying the beach:beach: bushwackers:drinking1 :drinking1 and some lovin':love2:? You two deserve it! I can't believe you remembered us on Valentine's Day.

Suppose to babysit today but I really hope they don't take the baby out in this weather. Also waiting for the Nurse Practioner to come and check my Mom. I will bet she will be a NO SHOW. Started doing laundry:laundy: and it feels like it could be a chili:stir: for dinner day since I already have some corn muffins.

Hope you all stay warm:cold: because it is really a miserable day here! Miss you all:grouphug: Have a Whimsical:tink: pixiedust: Wednesday. Toodles:wave2: :mickeyjum :smickey: :genie: JEANNE

It was a nasty, horrible night. It is still snowing and windy, but nearly as much of each. I hardly slept. I can't say we made it through unscathed. It appeas the pipes for our bathroom sink have frozen, didn't expect that to happen. Trying to figure out how to thaw them as we can't access them. Also, the furnace quit last night. With all the winde and snow, the snow got into the exhaust vent and was melting causing moisture to get in the furnace. Jerry fussed with that for at least an hour, but he got it going again, and it is still working.
We have amazing drifts of snow. There is at least 3 feet of snow up against the garage door, but there is at least 4 feet of snow at the end of the driveway. I have snow between the screen and windows that 2/3 up the bottom half of the window. Schools and businesses are closed everywhere. People can't get out of their driveways. Jerry is working from home, but is out trying to do some shoveling. I have no idea of actual snow fall amounts. It is 12 degrees with a wind chill below zero. Plus we are supposed to get more snow the next few days, a couple inches here and there. It is also supposed to stay bitter cold. I saw a forecast that it will be above freezing next Friday. Three weeks below freezing temps is waaaay tooooo much for me!
I woke up stuffy yesterday, but today pretty much have a cold.

We are having heart shaped pizza with salad and jello hearts for dessert. Happy Valentine's Day, I think.

Jeanne: Stay safe in the storm!

Jeanne - so glad that you got to see the dresses and that Joyce was able to see them too!!!!! Stay warm and stay off those roads!!!

Denine - I can't help you with frozen pipes because mine freezes everytime it gets to single digits. I let the water run and open the cabinets and run a space heater, but it still freezes up. Luckily I have been fortunate enough that the pipes haven't busted.

The storm has passed but we are now getting Lake Effect snow, yippeee

Jerry shoveled the whole driveway, but we still ca't get out. Why? Because there is 4 foot deep snow, 6 feet out into the street. The street in front of our house is one lane right now. The city hasn't been down our street yet. Jerry is going to go back out to see what he can do, but he may be working from home again tomorrow.

Jerry got the pipes thawed. He opened the cabinet doors, and brought in a space heater and ran it for several hours. They are finally open without bursting.

My head just hurts and Jerry won't let me help him with the snow.

Luckily, even though the storm was from the south, it wrapped around Lake Erie and came out as dry, fluffy snow. The problem was it was snowing in the wrong direction, east to west. It is now snowing in the proper direction.

Denine - how is your head?

Chris and I had a very nice Valentines Day. About a week ago he asked me what I wanted for Valentines Day and I told him I would make him dinner and he could make me chocolate covered strawberries and we put the rest of the money towards the wedding. Well he decided that we had to go to dinner so he made reservations to PF Changs. I love it there and he has never been. Well I get home to find chocolate covered strawberries from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory that were sooooo goood and I know they had to cost a pretty penny. I was very thankful and then we went to PF Changs and he spoiled me!!! We usually don't go out all that much and we ate a ton of food and had an appetizer, drinks, entree, and dessert. I fought for the bill but he wasn't giving it up!!!! Very very sweet of him. The guy at the table next to us proposed to his girlfriend and it brought a tear to my eye just thinking about when Chris proposed to me.

Good Morning

I stayed home yesterday to get some stuff done. I cleaned the house, shampoo'ed the carpet, did some scrap book pages, made curtains for Ethan's room made a pillow case and some goodie bags to send to Tiffany to give to her friends. Wish I was home today too. I sure could get a lot done if I was home more.

We decided to wait to go out for Valentines day til either tonight or tomorrow. Everywhere is soooo busy on Valentines day and I was not anxious to get out in the cold.

Ethan's room is really coming along. We are going to have to put several coats on the green because it is thin paint. I ordered the cute green alien outlet covers and a buzz light switch cover. His curtains really match the paint. Can't wait to get the stars and planet glow in the dark things to hang on the wall and Bob is making the planets to hang from the ceiling.

Sorry about your head hurting Denine. Glad you are taking a break from shoveling. I love snow storms just don't like the after math.
