How you feeling? Hot:beach: Hot:sunny: Hot:smooth: We are having a heatwave. I went to the pool for two hours today. The first time I have been to the pool all year (I went once last year). It was really hot!

Trying to catch up on laundry:laundy: since I have to work Monday and Tuesday too! I did make a quick Sam's Club run for trash bags & O.J. and managed to spend $125.00. I don't think I have ever come out of Sam's spending less than $100.00.

Hope you all are have a supercalifragilistic Sunday. Miss you all:grouphug: . Trying to keep up on the boards. Toodles, JEANNE:genie: :mickeyjum :earsgirl:

Sandy: :grouphug: I imagine it is quite sad to see Ted's dad's prperty go. Weren't you at one point thinking of buying it yoursleves? I could be wrong. When we get our group photo when we board the ship, I will have to figure out how to scan it in so everyone can see it. I heard they were thinking of trying photopass on the ship; that would be great. Next Sunday we get to make our onboard ressies!

Jeanne: It was supposed to be 94 here today. It is currently 90 and it is almpst 8 PM. We have had a great breeze all day though.

I made a London Broil on the grill today. The leftover is going to be made into a steak salad.

I had a tummy bug yesterday. I probably picked it up at work on Friday. So, we didn't do much. Kaleigh played in her pool and Jerry washed and waxed the cars. He loves to do that and never gets a chance. We had ice cream for dinner because that is all that sounded good to me. We actually made it to church today. We have been sooooo bad.

Sandy: I am not allowed to have laser surgery. My eye doctor said absolutely no. I have been going to him since I was in the 5th grade. I also have thin retinas ( thanks mom) and they could easily detach if I were to get bumped in the eye. I am also blind as a bat and now at risk for glaucoma.

Kaleigh has another library program tomorrow evening and I need to find the 2nd book in the series I just started by Andrew Greeley. I put a hold on another one. He is a priest that writes mystery novels.

Hoping that Kaleigh's Kindergarten program comes early this week. She can't wait. She wants to start as soon as we get it. I told her not until the end of July, but we can look through the box.

Until, probably, Tuesday.

Jeanne, don't you just hate it when you run into a store for a couple of items and come out 100.00 later???? I love Sam's Club. Stacey does a lot of shopping there for the campground.

Denine, I never knew you had bad eyes. And yes, you are right. We were thinking about keeping the property but we decided it was such a chore for us when his parents got older and needed us to drive them to Dr visits etc. We decided NOT to do that to our girls. The property has been in the family for probably close to 50 years.

It has been hot, hot, hot. But we are looking at a cool down for this week. Thank goodness. Looks like Barb has picked up some rain however.

HEIDI: You can count on us being there. Joyce and I (and I'm sure Bonnie) are planning on going out to Colorado. Where exactly are you getting married :bride: ? What City? I am going to see if there is a time share resort nearby.
Yay, I am so excited. :cool1:  We are getting married at Terrace Gardens at Ken Caryl. The city is Littleton. It is right down from our house. Other cities close by would be Lakewood, Morrison, Golden, Highlands Ranch. Depending on how much of a drive you want, there is also Genessee, Evergreen, and I can maybe think of some more!!! If you see city names in CO just ask and I can tell you how far it is from where we are getting married.

So today at work has been pretty tough. A coworkers husband committed suicide. He hung himself in the garage. They adopted 2 boys a little over 2 years ago and they are age 3 and 5. Very very sad. The funeral is on Friday so I am hoping we can all get off work to support her. My boss said we can have an hour off and the rest of the time we have to use our leave. I hope I am not the only one that will go and stay for more than an hour. Please keep her in your prayers.

Hi everyone!!

It has been so crazy...I haven't gotten a chance to get on!!

Barb- sorry everything fell through...why don't you call me when you get a chance to setup a lunch date. Let me know if you need my number...I only have my cell now.

Ok so I need everyone's help. We are wanting to give all our employees a little something for all their work. Richard has all the guys figured out...a pocketknife. The cooks are getting this laser thing that tells the temperature of whatever you are cooking. I need to figure out what to give the ladies in the office, along with the activity director and the cleaners...any ideas????

My kids had a playdate with our old neighbor. They all had a really good time seeing each other. It was fun but made me a little sad....my kids really do love him and he loves them back.

Anyway, my kids are up.

Thanks for any ideas!!!

Stacey, you asked the right bunch of people about the gifts. Barb, Julie and Denine are great at things like that.

Stacey - you can give Paula an "official" popcorn bucket!!!! Maybe a gift card to starbucks???? I don't know, I will think about it.

Sandy: Yes, I have terrible eyes. My pressure is still elevated, so I had to do a visual field test. He doesn't think I have glaucoma yet. Right now, it is ocular hypertension. It is only glaucoma if damage has been done. I have to go back next year. He will call if there was a problem with my visual field test. At least no eye drops yet.

Heidi: How awful. I can't imagine life getting so bad that you commit suicide and I have had some major depression. I hope you are all able to support you co-worker.

Stacey: I am sooo not good at coming up with gifts. All I can think of is some cute paper and pens. Colorful Images has cute office gift type stuff. How about some nice Bath & Body works stuff for the cleaners so they smell nice and feel good after a day of cleaning up after other people? They have men's stuff too. Since Julie is our Activity Director, maybe she has an idea there!

It was 94 yesterday. Yippeee! It is such a nice breeze we haven't had to run the AC. Supposed to be 92 today and then we go back down to 81 and then the 70's. Yuck! Can't we stay in the 80's?

Question: Should Jerry and I get baseball tickets for $62 apiece that includes all you can eat food and soft drinks with a bar close by or should we get $38 tickets that are on the field almost right behind home plate with no food included? The more expensive tickets for the Club Seats are normally $90 something apiece but Jerry gets a discount at work. I don't know what the discount was for the others'.

Denine - for me, I would get the cheaper tickets. When I go to the game, there is no way I spend $24/person on food and drinks.

Heidi: I was kind of leaning that way, but the food is standard ballpark fare and carved meats and stuff and it is all you can eat. I don't know what a hotdog goes for in CO but it costs $4.50 each here.

Ya, it is about the same price here too. But do you really want to pig out because it is all you can eat!!!! Let's see, I would eat nachos ($5.75) and have a fresh squeezed lemonade ($4.50), maybe a gourmet pretzel ($5.00) and a coke (5.00). To me that is quite a bit of food (if I would even eat that much, or get ice cream instead of a pretzel) and it still totals below the extra $24!!! Chris is even cheaper than me (if you don't count the money paid for the beers!!) He would get a super hotdog, fries, and a coke...and then fill up with beer and peanuts for the rest of the night!!!

I would just eat off of Heidi and Ted so I can't help you make up your mind! LOL

I just did the dreaded swimsuit shopping. ICK!!! Good thing that I have 2 months before the cruise! AND several before Heidi's wedding. Tonight Heidi and I are going water walking.

Advice please. I found a gorgeous light pink flowing formal gown on clearance. Would any of you wear light pink on the cruise? It was originally 178.00 and I got it for 42.00. I don't NEED a new dress but it is sooooo pretty. What would you do?

Barb, are your long hours getting to you? Julie, the kids are home now. Bet they are keeping you busy! Miss you guys.

SANDY: Aren't you sick of the BLACK gowns yet? Buy that pink number princess: . At least your pictures will look different!

DENINE: Don't get me started with eyes:rolleyes:   I have glaucoma in my left eye (with eye drops). I have to have those stupid visual fields test twice a year. Getting old is awful!:confused3 :sad2:

HEIDI: Thank you for the info about your wedding.:bride: I am going to try to get a time share for the week. Then we will have some extra room.

Hopping on the computer early before Baby Zoe gets here. I am going to TRY to take her to the pool:beach: today. This will be a first! I have sunscreen, bathing suit, hat, float, stroller, pack for bottles. I'M TIRED ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all have a Whimsical Wednesday. Miss you all:grouphug: . Toodles, JEANNE:earboy2: :genie:

Now Jerry says we may not even be able to get the tickets. He won't find out until the week of the game. Who knows? :confused3

Jerry talked to Julie last night. Her grandma has been in town from Florida and they have been spending a lot of time with her. They all went to Cedar Point on Monday.

Jeanne: Someone in my boat with the eyes. I spent 1-1/2 hours at the eye doctor on Monday. At least I don't have to go back for a year. No news is good news on the visual field test. Have fun at the pool!

Sandy: Go with the pink dress.

We got some rain this morning, but I don't think much. We haven't had rain here in 2 weeks. Only supposed to be 80 today and then 70's.

I work Friday and Saturday this week. Saturday is an 8 hour shift. I am working it for somebody. I haven't worked an hour shift since Kaleigh was 1, so this should be interesting for her.

The people across the street are putting there house up for sale. He got a promotion and they are moving back to Indiana. They were nice people. I hope nice people buy the house. Why can't the weird ones move?

Hera to the vet this afternoon. So not fun!

Oh Oh Denine. Hope it isn't the family that Kaleigh plays with.

Jeanne, it is soooo much fun going swimming with the little ones. You will have a blast.

Heading over to my step dad's house today to pick up a ton of my mom's stuff. Luckily, KID foundation called last night for donation pick up scheduled for this Thursday. I just take whatever he calls "mom's stuff" whether it is or isn't. I just toss or donate. I don't need to make waves. Supposedly, this is it.

Mom - I can't believe you didn't show me the pink dress yesterday when I stopped by!!! Oh that's right, your hands were stuck in junk!!! You have to show it to me tonight.

Sandy: No, it isn't the girls that Kaleigh plays with. They just moved in the end of December. At least you have an easy way to get rid of the junk.

Hera is healthy. Thank goodness. I had them give her some valium for the ride home. They gave me some pills to give to her the next time she has to go to the vet. She started hyperventilating almost as soon as she was in the car.

A bit chilly today, only 71 right now.

Today should be a quiet day.
