October 19th Cruisers again and again...

Here's the latest and the greatest in my world:
Talked to the pediatrician and he swears up and down that they do take that plan...I don't know where to go to verify that he is correct. Insurance company says no, the billing department at the office says no, but he says yes. I need to get it in writing from someone when I do find out. I pray that he is right though.
Heidi- please let me know who Taura goes to. I have a very limited amount of pediatricians that are supposedly covered under this plan.

Stacey - did you call the insurance company? I would call them and ask them and tell them that the pediatrician says he is a part of that insurance. Maybe he is listed under a different name?

Heidi, she found his name under family doctors and NOT pediatrician. So the good news is that she can keep him!!

I'm here. I had to work this morning, but I left 1/2 hour early. It was a weird morning.

My scratchy throat is finally gone. It went away during the night, but it just feels like a cat is sitting on my chest. You should hear my voice though. I sound awful.

We had so much rain yesterday afternoon until sometime late this morning. It was amazing the amount of water that was standing and going through the rivers and streams. It stopped raining and then got really windy, gusts up to 60 mph, but the sustained winds seem pretty high too. We are supposed to get flurrries tonight.

I stopped at the butcher on my way home. I had a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more. I wanted to get a pork roast for New Year's. It is beautiful. I also bought the biggest chicken breasts you have ever seen. One whole breast could feed 4 people. I am not kidding. I also bought butterflyed pork chops, very nice.

Stacey: I hate insurance companines. At least you can keep your Ped. I get nervous everytime we get a new one. We don't have a choice either. We used to, but haven't for 3 years now.

Sandy: Believe it or not, I just had Kaleigh's hair cut not long before those pictures.

I would call Julie, but it hurts to talk. I hope everything went well today with the surgery.

I want to start putting up Christmas decorations this weekend. I ma have Jerry take a day off to do the tree. He had taken a 1/2 day on Monday, but worked so many hours on Tuesday that he is not counting the 1/2 day, so he still has either 1 or 2 days to take before the end of the year. Not including the day after Christmas that I have him take every year. That is MY favorite shopping day.

Sunday we go to a puppet show that Kaleigh earned for the family read aloud. I doubt we won tickets to see Charlotte's Web, but the program just ended yesterday so who knows.

When the wind dies down, Jerry will have to fix the outside lights that got blown off. I just can't believe how windy it is. But, I lit a bunch of Christmas scented candles and the fireplace, so we are cozy. Kaleigh is watching Christmas videos.

Sandy: The fudge sounds interesting, but I don't own a microwave. I do have plenty of fudge recipes though. Does that surprise anyone? :teeth:

With Jerry's help, again, I finally got my little ho ho guy in my siggie.

Heidi: What is WAPASADI or whatever it is called?

Hi guys. Thing aren't too good here. Today has just gone the way the weather has, yucky!!! Garry's dad DID NOT have surgery today. We are our way back up to the hospital, so when we get back, I can HOPEFULLY tell you more.

TTFN

Julie, sorry your day wasn't good. I pray today is a different day and things are going good.

Denine, I still need to decorate for Christmas too. Just too much going on and not a big enough house to hide things. I have a slight cold now too. It better not blow up into a big one! The thing that you were talking about on Heidi's signature is a game that the DISboard is playing for prizes. Even cheering can win you a prize.

All three of us girls are headed to one of Stacey's pampered chef parties today. It is a DISer that Heidi and I befriended. She lives very close to us. Maybe a mile if that from Heidi. It is a snowy day. I hope it doesn't affect her party! That would suck!

After the party we are headed over to the other house to paint until Sunday night. YUCK!! Our window guy for this house might come over and give us a quote for that house.

Have a great weekend. I will be thinking of you Julie! I am on my cell if you need me.

Denine - WAPASADI is a "reality show" for the Disboards. Teams compete against each other and teams get eliminated. This year there is real prizes being handed out like gift cards, WDW trip, etc.

Julie - I am so sorry he didn't get the surgery today. I hope things brighten up for you.

I tried the fudge last night and it was good...very creamy. Denine, I cannot believe you don't have a microwave, that would drive me crazy!!! I use mine for everything!!!

Julie: Sorry things didn't go well yesterday. Give us a call, at least Jerry can talk to you.

Heidi: Thanks for clearing that up! I have no need for a microwave.

Got most of the decorations up. I still need to put up the village and of course the tree. We went out and bought the wreath for the door, I always get a real one. We also got a purple poinsettia and a branch of winterberries. I wouldn't have bought the branch, but we need one for school and I didn't want to go to the park to look for one when we are both sick. We need to decorate it for Christmas. At least it has pretty red berries on it.

Sandy: I hope you don't get more than the sniffles.

I have had a headache all day, but at least the stuff in my chest is finally breaking up.

Tonight I can turn on the outside lights since Jerry got them fixed up from the wind yesterday and I got the rest of the stuff for the front up. I put a candelabra in all the front windows, plus the Mickey wreaths and the lights on the shrubs.

Back from the pampered chef party. It went very well. Stacey is very good at it. I hope we can help her figure out how to get bookings as she loves doing it and is is good.

The sun came out shortly but it is snowing again. We were to leave to go paint but Ted got involved in a movie so who knows what we end up doing.

Sandy: Glad Stacey's parties go over pretty well.

Kaleigh did not go to sleep until around 11 PM last night, for whatever reason, and she just got up, it is 8:40 AM. I sure wish she would have slpet longer becasue she isn't getting a nap today.

We are going to church at noon and then a puppet show at 2 PM.

Gee Sandy, I am sure you are broken up about not getting to painting right away.

We got some presents wrapped last night, yippee! I would like to get more done today.

At least I had a 1/2 hour to myself before Kaleigh got up.

Tomorrow we start making Christmas cards and presents in school.

Jerry just got off the phone with Julie a bit ago.

Garry's dad had a PET scan Friday morning, it is similar to a CAT scan. They apparently saw something they didn't like and canceled the surgery. They were told they would have the results of the scan by Friday night, but still don't know anything. From what Julie said, it doesn't sound good at all. They have re-scheduled the surgery for Tuesday, but who knows?

Garry is taking this very hard since he has already been through losing his mom.

Please keep them all in your prayers.

Denine, thanks for keeping us updated on Garry's dad. It is so difficult losing parents and the "last" one is extremely hard. They remain in our prayers.

I am beat!! We are having to prime every room in her house so we do not accomplish much on a weekend. I don't see ever being done. Next weekend we won't get to paint all the whole weekend because we have a "family" Christmas gathering on Saturday. It is with an adopted family. Like grandparents to my girls.

Denine, I need to start wrapping. That always is my last to do. ALWAYS.

Oh by the way, I have been thinking of Lurker Laurie a lot lately so I dropped her an email. I hope she will respond. I sent her the link to this thread, too.

I am beat. Headed off to bed.

Hugs to all.

Mom - I keep telling you that Chris and I will help you paint, it doesn't take any skill to paint primer on the wall. Why won't you accept our offer?

Denine - thanks for keeping us updated on the Lauters. They are all in our prayers. I wish I could turn on our outside lights....as soon as it stops snowing and the ice build up is off my balcony, I will hang my outside lights!!
