October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Yea, Susan is feeling better. Good to hear from you. Too bad Heidi isn't traveling to DC and we could meet up. It has been horribly hot here and DRY. Tonight we had some thunder but of course, no rain with it. I can't ride a bike when it is this hot. You are a better person than me! What a nice send off for your nieces husband! Prayers will be with him in Iraq. I am excited for the cruise and time is coming too quickly. Too much to do in so little time. Miss you lots. Glad that we are getting you back. Now if we could get Bonnie. And Julie just a little more than what she has been doing!

Ok Sandy, I'm here! I've been busy with the kids and with Garry and his work schedule. He starts tonight at 10pm and works until 2pm tomorrow (we hope, I'll explain later) then goes back in tomorrow night at 10pm til 8am Tues. goes to work Tuesday night at 10 until 2 pm (we hope) on Wed and then goes to work Wed night at 10pm until 12pm Thursday (we hope). NICE!!! I think I will have to introduce the kids to him after this week!!! This afternoon they called to see if he could come in early today and I told them that he was working OT tomorrow. When he went into to work tonight he find out that the sgt working afternoon shift broke his knuckle and he'll be missing work for awhile. NOW, we are short a sgt on days (6-2pm) and afternoons has this one with the broken knuckle and the other is on vacation. Nights has Garry and the other sgt. is on vacation. SOOOOOOOO, WHO KNOWS when we will see Garry this week!!!

It has been extremely hot around here as well! It has been in the 90's for the past 15 days. We got a rain shower today! WOW!!!! Not that it helped much. Oh well. Our pool, on the good side is at a temperature of 90 degrees. It is like bath water!!

Well,gotta go. I have to clean the kitchen up. I'll be back later!

Had a nice weekend, glad I had access to the pool because it was HOT HOT HOT!!! Can't wait until next weekend when I go with Chris to watch the NASCAR Busch race in Pueblo (joking here because I don't want to deal with the heat). It will only be about 100 degrees sitting on bleachers with asphalt surrounding us!!!! (2 years ago when we went it was 102 degrees out, talk about heat exhaustion sitting up on those bleachers). Miserable, but hey guess I will do it for him since he watches my reality shows with me that he hates!!!! Bring lots and lots of water because Pueblo could possibly be the desert of Colorado.

How do you like Big Brother? So far I don't have any favorite or bad guy......too early I guess although that blonde and Howie are kind of annoying.....Eric I think is his name, the Head of Household is going to get himself in trouble the way he talks to them but I think he is just trying to help but some of them think he is bossy....

Hi Sally. I don't have a favorite on BB like I use to, this crowd seems too rowdy, even for me, it really hasn't kept my interest. I cannot stand Ivette, Howie and Eric. I think Eric is trying to boss everyone around. There are some rumors going around on the community board about what happened Saturday night, hopefully they show it on Tuesday (I don't want to spoil it for you).

How is the weather in the Springs? It is perfect here, we went out to lunch and it wasn't too hot.

Did you hear Ty had to go to the emergency room while he was here doing the Extreme Home Makeover...I heard he had to have a splinter removed....then when we were out there to see the house he was at the rodeo....and someone saw him at Wendy's. They sure keep track of the guy....

Hi All! Glad to see Susan posting again! Barb, Sally, Heidi, Sandy and Denine (even though she is MIA today) keeps this board going! Now Susan and I have to do our part to keep it up also!

Big Brother, I THOUGHT I was going to like Eric,but I was wrong. He seems to have "little man syndrome". Always have to be the one in control. I'm with all of you, I really don't have a favorite. I don't like Michael or Howie or Janelle or Jennifer. April, Maggie,and Rachel are probably the ones I would like to see win, IF I had to choose SOMEONE. I don't really care for James and Sarah or even Kaysar. Same goes with Beau (he seems to really be "throwing himself" at the guys a little too much. unlike Marcellis (sp) from seasons past.) His "partner" Isabelle (or whatever her name is..) is also someone I really don't care either. SHe has a REALLY foul mouth. This seasons BB isn't as good (so far) as the others. My grandmother who also watches the show feels the same way.

Well Garry's work schedule has gotton worse! Thanks to other sgt who broke his knuckle. He is working (if I have figured it out right) 53 out of the next 80 hours. NICE!

Sorry I have been MIA! It is 3 AM and I can't sleep. Too much going on, some of which I can't explain.

We had a nice, but busy weekend. Jerry ended up working from home today so we could go to the social security office to get my verification letter. Not aplace you want to go with a tired 2 year old by youself. Unfortunately, Jerry's dad went back into the hospital on Sunday. His big toe is turning black and they have decided they now need to do something, they just don't know what. So, they are going to do a bunch of tests. The thing is, his liver doesn't function properly, his kidneys don't function properly and he has congestive heart failure. If they do surgery, he could die on the table. If they do test involving dye, he could go into liver and kidney failure. Jerry's mom is a mess and has been forgetting to take her BP medicine. If something happens to his dad right now, Jerry's mom will be devastated. Their anniversary is in October as well as her birthday, then the holidays. And, to be selfish, we have our cruise next month. It wouldn't be as big of a deal if it was a regular cruise, but obviously, this one is special.

I started staining the cabinets today. Now, I just need to put the varnish on. I will start that this evening.

Julie: Garry is going to collapse when he is done! I hope he doesn't get sick!

Sue: Good to hear from you. Glad you are feeling better!

Sally: I really could use someone to tend to my yard right now! Of course, I don't have much planted yet and what I do have planted, doesn't look like much!

Sandy: Glad you guys had a good weekend.

Heidi: What a sacrifice. I can't stand car races! Jerry loves them.

I hope I didn't miss anyone. I don't know if I will be on later or not.

It is 2:30 and I woke up and can't get back to sleep....they have a big dog next door that they make stay outside and he has been barking.....

Denine, yards are a lot of work....especially this year when I have had to do everything twice because of hail. I cut all my iris leaves back today....filled two trash bags with them. Don't mind that so much but I have grass growing in among them that has to be pulled. Still have 5 flower beds to go in the back.....have finished 9 so I am gaining.....

Dick called the doctor today and they said his extention ran out July 5th..that is what allows him to go to another doctor. No one notified us and they operated the llth. The nurse said she would get it extented and call us. Of course she didn't call all day...when she does he has to make an appointment with the specialist. 'Somebody doesn't know what they are doing....surprise.

Does it seem to you that a lot of people are having a lot of strange things happening right now.....my friend just had her second operation in about 3 weeks and now has to have another one to take out her gall bladder. They said they got all the cancer in her neck.

Heidi where are the races you are going to....Patti and family are coming up to go to one this weekend.

We went to the Disney Christmas class Sat at the scrap book store...we had l2 pages to do. They are so cute....there were a couple I didn't get finished so am working on them at home. Patti had me get her a kit even though she hasn't been to Disney at Christmas they would be cute just to put Christmas pictures on.

Well it is after 3 so I guess I should get back to bed...it is a little warm tonight which makes it hard to sleep....

Denine - I am sorry you are having such a bad time. Pixie Dust and Prayers being sent your way for all of your family.

Sally - The race that I am going to will be at PPIR (Pikes Peak International Raceway). Your yard sounds so beautiful, I am sure all the hard work is so worth it. That is so funny about Ty...wish I could have bumped into him!!!

Julie - Poor Gary, there is no way I could work those kind of hours and actually be able to concentrate enough to do my job, I would just collapse.

Okay I won't tell you about what I heard about Big Brother on Saturday because I don't want to ruin it for Julie or my mom but I did hear one rumor that James house was hit by the hurricane and destroyed.

Mom - Taura's birthday is August 7th. Torry asked Chris and I if we wanted to go white water rafting with them on Saturday and then stay at a Bed and Breakfast, I want to go but I am also having trouble because that takes ANOTHER weekend at the campground away from me and that leaves one weekend left to go camping because of your cruise. If I switch my day off from August 5th to August 12th, is it possible for you to go down there that Thursday night (the 11th)? Let me know as soon as you can so I can ask my boss if I can switch days. Thanks.

I think that is the same race that Patti is going to.....wouldn't it be funny if you two ran into each other.....oh, I forgot you don't know each other. I know, both of you wear Mickey Mouse ears.....

Julie, policemen have a tough enough jobs without working them so many hours....

Heidi, I don't see any reason why I couldn't do the 11th. Taura's weekend sounds wonderful. Do it!!

Julie, so glad that you are posting and will hopefully continue. I can't imagine working the hours that Garry always seems to get stuck with. I would get sick to my stomach and not be worth anything.

Sally, that is pretty cool about Patty and Heidi being at the same race. Maybe they need to exchange cell phone numbers and meet up at the concession stand or something. I am fighting my insurance like Dick. I called and they said they would cover my Hep.A shot for the cruise and so we got them. Then they said they don't cover Hep A shots so I appealed. Now the Dr wants money and the insurance is past their appeal decision time. I hate dealing with medical things.

And poor Denine. I am sorry to hear about Jerry's dad. Pixie dust and prayers are sent to your entire family. Keep us posted. I understand what you are saying about the cruise because we were nervous that we might have to cancel our cruise with what was going on. Hang in there.

I will be in section U38, row 36. I liked our seats that we had last time better because we were in row 4 then I didn't have to walk up as high and be even closer to the sun!!!!

Jerry has an appointment next Thursday to have a wisdom tooth pulled. He was supposed to do this 2 years ago!

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!

I just had to post when I found out Heidi and I will be in the same place at the same time........WOW!!! How cool is that? I didn't get to meet you at Fargo's because you had a migraine that day.

Our seats are in Sec U12, Row 24, 13-17.........doesn't mean much to me except that we are between the finish line and the first turn. I'm very excited, I've never been to a NASCAR race before but my youngest daughter is really floating in the clouds..........she LOVES NASCAR!! My oldest daughter will be there too but I think more for the socializing
