Mom - ya I definitely planned on going with you in the same car on Friday.

I am so gad Darren is okay, thank god it was his day off.

Glad to hear Darren is OK.

Sandy: What a problem, clothes that are too big! I wish I had that problem. I am sure you will come up with something.

I wasn't planning on pirate outfits even though I know a lot are. There is only so much room, especially when you have to pack diapers and baby stuff.

Get the car back today. DOn't know how much it costs yet.

We are re-financing our house and should get the papers to sign next week. It will be nice not to worry what the interest rate is going to be in a few years. We will have locked in for 30 years.

Nothing else going on here.

Glad the newlyweds enjoyed their honeymoon!

I don't even know how to begin this post. I am at a loss for words.

Thank you so much for remembering us during this difficult time. To be remembered by all of you is so overwhelming. Heidi and I are so touched but Ted is even more touched. I thank the Lord for bringing all of us together. Thank you so much for the flowers! We love you all. :grouphug:

Sandy: We are all one big family. That is what we do for each other. I am glad you liked them.

Patty and Krista say hi to everyone. Lori is in Cozumel.

It's so late in the day and I am the first to post. I thought that I was slacking! Where is everyone? Missing you! I could break out into song about nobody loves me but after the flowers that is so not true!

I just lost my whole posting :badpc:

SANDY: Glad you & Ted liked the flowers :flower2: :flower2:. We love you (even though no one is posting!). Where is that Bonnie? Haven't started shopping for a "costume" pirate: but after the wedding is over I plan on going Good Will shopping for a peasant blouse, skirt, etc. Just what I need is MORE clothes to pack. Thank you for thinking I can fit into a 12!

Doggies are back to their OTHER home. Left them off yesterday & slept peacefully last night.

I am trying to get some things done since I work Saturday, Sunday & Monday - off Tuesday & then leave for Las Vegas on Wednesday. I didn't want to leave EVERYTHING until Tuesday but you know what I say "you can always buy what you need" (as long as you are still in the civilized world). Hope you all have a terrific weekend. Think of me working. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

TGIF!

I had to work this morning, so this is my first opportunity to get on the computer.

Hoping to paint the kitchen and morning room this weekend. I hope I am feeling up to it!

Jerry is out cutting the grass.

Jeanne: Have fun working this weekend!

Saw the baby birds last night, they were sleeping. So cute! I haven't seen them yet today.

Good morning, everyone.

Sandy - Of course we love you. We wish there was more we could do for you all.

Jeanne - One down and one to go. I hope you can take a few deep breaths sometime this week.

Denine - glad you are feeling better. I love baby birds. It is amazing how quickly they go from hairless skin and bones to flying in such a short time. Enjoy them while you can.

Did you all watch Big Brother Thursday night? I did. This is definitley my favorite reality show but it does seem to consume a lot more of my time since it is on several nights a week.

Later!

Good morning,

Susan, I watched Big Brother, too. It is my favorite reality show also. I am never really excited at the beginning when I don't know the people but when it gets going and I know names and faces, I wish it was on even more. The HOH is from here. Guess if she proves to be a nice one I will hope for her. Always good to have local people when. Look at The Bachlorette, Trista. She chose Ryan from Vail, CO.

Denine, how about when you are done painting that you come here and paint the girls bedrooms for us. Oh, and while you are at it, would you mind painting the exterior? Don't forget to put in new windows while you are painting, please. You are watching baby birds and I am watching a baby bunny. When we first saw him/her he would have sat in the palm of my hand. Now he is a little bigger.

Jeanne, wow, you go from one big event to another to another. Wedding-wedding-cruise. How do you keep your sanity? I have been looking for a peasant blouse, too. If you see a bunch at your Good Will, think of me. I will do the same. What size is everyone? Denine, do you want one if I find any?

Have a great weekend. Hugs to all.

Today we raked pine needles and went through a few of Ted's dads things. I am so stiff and sore and tired and whatever else. My feet are killing me and all I want to do is sleep. BUT.......the neighbors are having a block party with a live band. I don't think sleep is on the agenda for awhile. Heidi rented The Pacifier so we will watch that instead. Saw it at the theater. It is cute. Last night we watched Hide and Seek. Oh my gosh, is that ever a good movie. I screamed out a couple of times.

I made 3 loaves of banana bread today. Heidi's & Chris' favorite. Ok, mine too. I love the crunchy end of it when it first comes out of the oven. Mmmmm, guess I will go slice it now. See ya.

I have a flower bed that the pine needles fall into....I hate that tree!!! I have to get down on my knees and pick them out between and in the flowers...

We went to see the Pacifier at the $l theater.....I thought it was cute too.

Be glad when Big Brother has been on a few times so we know who to hate and who we want to win.... :cool1:

I am working on Patti's heritage album....I gave Rick his for his birthday and now it is Patti's turn...still working on Linda's. Thank goodness Barb's birthday isn't until Nov.

It isn't quite as hot tonight as it was last night....I had two fans going in the bedroom and still it was too hot to sleep.

Have a good weekend everyone.....

I am worn out! :faint: We painted for 13 hours yesterday, didn't get to bed until 2:30 this morning and another 3 hours today. But, the morning room, kitchen and living room are painted. I am very pleased with the colors. Now, I just need to stencil some grapes in the kitchen and put up the deocrative piece of wood that will separate the kitchen and the living room since they are 2 colors. Actually, the same color but the living room is a shade darker. The next room that will get painted is our bathroom. But, that will be a while. I still have to finish the cabinets for the laundry room. Sorry Sandy, no time for your projects!

I checked on the baby birds yesterday and they were both wanting food. I saw mama not long after I left the nest. Jerry said they are sleeping right now.

Until tomorrow.

The flowers are beautiful that you all sent, really brightens the room up. Thank you all for the thoughts/prayers :rose: :flower3: :flower2: :daisy: I know it definitely meant a lot to all of us. You guys are such special friends and mean so much to us. I am glad I was over at my parent's house at the time the flowers were delivered, my mom's face when she read the card was priceless. :flower:

Good morning all. Had a very interesting few days (won't get into it here), but yesterday was very busy. Chris helped my dad and my uncle yesterday at my grandpa's house. Not too sure what kind of trouble they got into because Chris is still laughing over whatever they did!!!! My mom and I had to leave to get down to my cousin's 13th birthday party, and left the boys alone up there....when we got back up the mountain both of them were laughing and looked so guilty. It is nice to see my dad relaxed again.

OK, where is everyone?

I wish I could have seen Sandy's face when they found out who the flowers were from!

I was wrong, we painted for 15 hours on Saturday.

I give up on potty training! Kaleigh peed on the living room floor and she was still in her pull-up! She knows when she has to go pee or poop, she just refuses.

Supposed to be 93 today. It is 87 so far. Need to go pick up our WDW pictures later and buy a photo album to put them in.

It is Hot. The air conditioner turned off over the weekend and now it is hotter than ever in my building. We are all dying of heat exhaustion.

Well tomorrow I have to drive to Estes Park for work. It is one of those things that I don't want to but my boss has asked me nicely. I have to drive a 15 passenger van to take the students on a tour of our dams and power plant. My hours will be 6:30am to 5:30pm...yuck. does not help that I get car sick very easily and we will be going up winding roads and up in altitude!! I love Estes Park, just not for work!!!!

Oh my Heidi. I hate the thought that you are driving. I mean hate the thought. The 15 passenger vans roll so easy and you do have winding roads to get up there. Be very careful!!!!! Remember the Hayman fire and the poor firefighter young lady had charges pressed against her.

Denine, you painted your house like we painted Heidi's. No time to breathe. Just paint, paint and paint some more.

Sally, Ted's dad lived on Lookout Mtn so his whole acreage had pine trees and so many of them. We just raked a path to the back door and the patios. Didn't overdo. Your heritage album sounds so priceless. I am sure that all the kids are so grateful over them! I know I would be!

Ok, we know that Jeanne is terribly busy with 2 weddings and the cruise but where is Bonnie and Julie. Come out, come out where ever you are!

I give up! I went upstairs to give Kaleigh a bath and the rug in front of the tub was wet. I smelled it...one of the cats peed on it because their potty didn't get cleaned yesterday.

I stuck Kaleigh back in diapers. I showed her her Princess undies and told her that when she decides to go potty, she can wear them.

Just overy frustrated today. All I want to do is munch. We never ate dinner, because nothing looked good, even though I was hungry. I am frustrated that everything that goes in my mouth has to be considered for points. I haven't weighed myself since before vacation, so I don't know what the results will be come Wednesday. I have been keeping track of my points.

Kaleigh is also making me crazy. SHe is clingy right now and asks the same question about 5 times in a row, just to get the same answer 5 times in a row. I wouldn't mind if she asked different questions each time.

I need a vacation. I have had this pleurisy for 3 weeks. At least the coughing is almost gone. They say that when you stop coughing, the pleurisy goes away.

Dick's surgery went very well....Had it at 8:30 and we were home by noon... now we have to wait 72 hours for the cultures.....The nurse was telling us that our doctor is her favorite and he is really smart...if she ever needs a doctor he is the one she wants....we really like him so that was nice to hear...

It is so hot today I am roasting....sure wish we had air conditioning.....

Dick wants mac and cheese..he can't have anything that would be hard to eat as his throat is irratated and they don't want him to scratch it.....

Sally - Glad Dick's surgery went well. Hope the recovery goes just as well.

Denine - Hang in there, sounds like you need some alone time to take a bath and relax. Be patient with the potty training, she will do it when she is ready.

I am off to go drive a mini van now up to Estes Park. Not as many people signed up so we have 1 mini van and 1 large van. I quickly claimed I was driving the mini van!!!

:flower: Sally, glad the surgery went well. Poor Dick, when something sounds good and you can't have it, you think about it all day. Can he have it today? I wish I had air conditioning, also. We have a swamp (evaporative) cooler and it really does a wonderful job UNLESS the humidity is up and then you get hot and sticky. Stacey's air conditioner broke yesterday and the house got up to 85 and that was at night. It is hard on the babies.

Denine, you DO need a vacation. Hang in there, kiddo. We had potty issues with our last cat. As far as food is concerned, I am right there with you. I am craving food now but not giving in. I weigh more now than I did a month ago. I am steadily going up and for no reason. They took one fruit away from me and one veggie. I will try that for a week and see if it helps. If it doesn't then they are going to go the opposite direction and add more food. I am glad that I don't have to count points but you have more flexibility. Unfortunately, all kids go through the same question asking thing. It really doesn't last long but I will admit very annoying.

Heidi, I am glad that you got the mini van. I was so nervous about it and thought about it all day and during the night and when I was in the shower today. Those 15 passenger vans have been on shows like 20/20. Can't wait to hear how your day went. Are you getting taffy? ;) :rotfl2:

Nothing new here. Ted and I went shopping last night for the family picnic after the funeral on Friday. We also rented a shelter for it. Heidi, in case I forget to tell you it is in shelter 2. Pretty much behind the playground. It has a beautiful view. We sat there yesterday and it was so peaceful. It is perfect for what we are doing!

My computer is acting up. I think I will post this now before I lose it.
