Hey Heidi, I just made Chris some peanut brittle cuz he said he loves it. Then as I am making it, I realize he doesn't like sweets. Does he or doesn't he like the peanut brittle?

Barb, I love it that we have been together for so long. Pretty cool, huh?

I am thinking that we are about to lose Susan. She never posts anymore. It saddens me everytime we start losing a DIS family member.

Mom - yes, Chris LOVES peanut brittle. Ya I wanted to remind you to tell uncle Larry because he will want to know too. One question - did you cry making peanut brittle because that is grandpa's favorite too, I know I would have been crying. I think while you are at your appointment, I am going to go to Target to pick up some Hemroid cream for the bags under my eyes (that stuff works really good!!) Nobody laugh at me for that comment.

I have such a bad headache/stomachache right now. Thank god my meeting is at 10:00 (never thought I would say that!!!)

Sandy, Ted and Heidi - I'm so sorry to hear about Ted's dad. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you!! Hang in there and just remember we all are here for you!!! I know this is a very hard time for all of you. Crying is allowed! I wish I could be there for all of you! If there is anything I can do, please don't be afraid to ask!!! Just try to remember all the great times and not to dwell on what is to come. What will be will be. Just remember, we say see you later and not good bye because we will all be together again and when we do meet again all of our troubles,trials, and pains will all be gone. Just remember I love you guys!

Barb, our thread will continue forever because we all are one big family!!! Some may go, and other will come back! Susan will be back I'm sure of it. I know she has a lot on her plate right now and with it being the end of the school year, it makes it so hard to post with that and her job. Susan won't leave us until she let's us all know!

Jeanne, hope your week goes by fast (I thought you said you have to work 3 days in a row)!! I sure the doggies didn't mind that you didn't pick them up when you were suppose to. They'll forgive you!! Hang in there! Good luck with your class on the 25th! ( I think that is what you said earlier).

Bonnie, get disney ready for the Lauter's!!!! You know, you didn't take me up on the offer to spend the extra night with us! You know you could sleep between THe Big Guy and Garry! LOL!! Boy would I kill to have a picture of that!!!!

Sandy, Can I get an autograph picture of you so I can say I knew you when and that is my big sister!!! Be perky and think of all of us on the other side of the interviewer/camera drinking on St. Marteen on top of the overlook. ( ok for the life of me I can't remember the drink! How bad is that!!) AND if that doesn't get you giggly and bubblely think of how much fun we had at the wine party where we all met with the Big Guy drinking the wine off the deck!!! OR just think of all the guys wearing their white tee shirts and black shocks and sandles!!!! (Ok I can't beleive I remembered that from 2002 cruise!) Tell us how it goes

Sandy, Ted and Heidi: I am so sorry about Ted's dad.

Sandy: A big TV star is in our midst!

Julie: Yes, we are busy Saturday evening. Maybe next year. Are you going to the parade tomorrow? Jerry works from home since I work tomorrow.

Jerry's dad had another appointment with a cardiologist on Monday. He told him that he needs surgery to fix his problems, but they can't operate because he isn't stable enough. He did change his heart medication. Who knows?

Kaleigh and I went for another walk today. I pulled a bunch of weeds yesterday. I have a ton more that need to come out. We received the shade garden in the mail today, so I have to weed and plant. They are sending replacement shrubs for the front since it was too cold when they sent them and now they are dead, despite our best efforts.

Kaleigh actually used the potty today, for the 1st time ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! We keep telling her she can't go in the Mickey pool in August if she is still wearing diapers. She cried in October when she couldn't go in it, except for the ear. She even told me when she needed a new pull-up, which means for the first time ever, she is caring that she is wet. Keep your fingers crossed that we can get this done by August. I really don't want to take 2-1/2 weeks worth of diapers with us!

Sorry I haven't been posting but things have been a little hetic....I try to keep busy in the yard because there is so much to do and the housework never ends. We have been waiting for Dick to see a specialist....he has something going on in his lungs and they have done a lot of blood work and x-rays.

We went yesterday and he wants him to have a complete breathing test and be off asprin for at least two weeks before they do surgery. They called this morning and his test is set for next Wed. and then he has to go back and see the specialist and see where we go from there.

He is so short of breath that even walking upstairs is hard for him....he has had a cough and got short of breath for a long time but not like this. Last summer he rode his bike and now he can't do it.

The doctor asked a lot of questions about mold, dust, pets, chemicals, work related things and family history and I did feel better after talking to him.

I have been reading some of the posts and sorry to hear about Ted's dad Sandy.

Ted Sandy & Heidi you know we are all here for you. I kinda wondered if it was a form of leukemia when you started talking about the low WBC...the nurse in me. Julie had a good idea! When you interview for the commercial think of us giggling after 1...let alone 2 Bush-wackers!!! Prayers are with you all.

Oh Julie!! You got me laughing!! I pictured myself sandwiched between the 2 Garry's!!! Oh my!! But then again, I moan when I sleep...Jeanne & Joyce will tell you. You may start wondering why I am moaning!!

I agree Sandy...I think we may be losing Susan. We have carried on for almost 3 years though!!! Not too shabby!!!

The doggies are visiting but I did have time to meet Joyce & a few other co-workers at Los Amigos for the usual Margarita's & crabcakes. Need to start STUDYING!!!!!!!!!!!

Heidi, they have pictures on the repo cruise site from the Gatun locks. The next one will be the Miraflores Locks that has a ship passing through it now. Not sure when the got through the next one. I'll keep you posted!

Here is what I found out: Now remember this is CENTRAL time! So Eastern time is 1 hour behind what is posted ie 1350 is actuallly 1250 OR 12:30 here!

Pilot boards for Canal Transit at Cristobal: 0500
Entering Gatun Locks: 0630
Departing Gatun Locks: 0820
Entering Pedro Miguel Locks: 1300
Departing Pedro Miguel Locks: 1350
Entering Miraflores Locks: 1420
Cleaing last Miraflores Locks: 1530

SO,for the Miraflores Locks it would be around 2:20pm here!

We went through the Panama Canal in 2003....it is very interesting. Dick said he would like to do it again. We entered in the early morning and left at dark.

It is suppose to be in the 80's today....

Sally, I don't remember you telling us that you went through the Panama Canal. Wow! Pixie dust to Dick. He is in our thoughts and prayers.

Jeanne, you did it, you did it. I will remember the rolling in the Ocean at Meagans Bay. Definitely would get a great smile on that one.

Bonnie, I am not sure sleeping between the two Garry's would be a good idea.

Only 5.6 more pounds to go. Now I am wondering if maybe another 10 on top of it??

I talked to Susan last night. She is very exhausted but is doing ok. It was wonderful to hear her voice. She sends her love . She has not nor will she abandon this thread. She just has too much going on right now.

Dick and I left San Diego on Sept 24 and returned to Fla Oct 11 on a repostioning cruise with our son, DIL and her parents. We stopped at l0 ports and cruised all day the rest of the time......it was wonderful.....it sounds like a long time but it flew by.....
