Jeanne, we can't do the Kayak and Turtle encounter. There is a 250 lb weight limit per kayak and Ted and I, and Heidi and Chris are over that. Now what?? The cast member told me just to wait until we get on board and then talk to Shore Excursion desk. Shoot! I will send you an email with this as well. Just trying to cover bases before early tomorrow.

Jeanne, once again I am emailing you AND posting to hopefully catch you before you book.(sorry everyone else) We went to a store that sells sea kayaks and the weight limit per kayak is 500 lbs. We have decided to risk it and book it.

WAY TO GO MAKENZIE!! I am talking to Julie right now. She wanted me to post that Makenzie got straight A's and is now a second grader. They were in Epcot with Denine and having fun. They ate in Germany and it was late hours in Epcot so they were off to all the rides.

Hi guys, it is 12:50am. Ten minutes from when we should be able to book our excursions and the DCL site is down. Now what?? Go to bed and wait till morning? I can imagine how flooded DCL will be tomorrow, both on the phone and on the internet. Gosh, I can't believe how many kids are out running the street at this time of day. Where are their parents?

Good Morning!

Getting ready to go to the grand opening of our latest Hobby Lobby. I have been sooooo lazy this week. My house and laundry are suffering. I have got to get it together!

Sandy-I had no idea excursions were so hard to book! I have not been on any but I remember Patty and my Mom booking right on board. Don't remember them saying they had any trouble.

Missy is getting Ethan ready so I guess we will be headed out in a few. I will check back later.

We are finally done. Heidi and I couldn't complete it online. The website was too busy. Luckily we have the best TA and she was able to complete it for us. Already talked to Jeanne THREE times on the phone today and it is only 8:00am Denver time.

Heidi and I have dinner plans tonight. I can't imagine how tired we will be. Certainly won't make a good impression that is for sure.

Poor Tyler and Joey are sick. They take after Stacey and Heidi. They were sick for everyone of their birthdays, too. Sunday is their birthday.

Well, I have to go weigh in now so I can't go back to sleep. Heidi is resting on our couch and states that she won't go back to sleep. Ya, right.

SANDY: Everything is arranged. I changed the Brunch reservations to Thursday, September 14th at 10:30 AM. I did send an e-mail to Disney Cruise Lines explaining how frustrating it was with the web site especially after getting up at 4:00 AM. It wouldn't be a bad idea if you did the same. I am so glad I have Bonnie to put everything into perspective and as Bonnie said "we never had reservations before & always had a good time". Leave it to Bonnie to always make you feel better.

I just need to get out of this house today so I think I am just going out the mall and walk around. I know the doggies would like the park but I will do that later. I can not sit in this house one more day without losing my mind

WHERE ARE THE DISNEY CREW? Having a great time in WDW I presume.

Just checking in before naptime. Heidi and I are so exhausted. I weighed in today. My blood pressure was up for the first time EVER and my weight went up. I need this vacation!

Barb, it seems to have gotten bad since they added the online reservations 90 days out. Sometimes you can't get onboard what you wanted due to that.

Just talked to Denine and Jerry. Tonight is adult night. They are headed to Yachtsman Steakhouse and Anna Marie is babysitting for all the kids. The kids are having a pizza and skittles party. How cute is that? She was sitting at DTD and said that ashes were falling and they could smell smoke. That's not good!

Jeanne, I did write DCL. I wonder if we will hear from them.

Headed out of here in an hour to meet up with some DISers for dinner. Never could fall asleep so I hope I can keep my head up high. lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOEY AND TYLER!!

We had their birthday party yesterday and I think it went really well!! Even though my kids were sick, they did very good. They both dug into their cakes. Joey stopped earlier than Tyler because she rubbed her poor eye with frosting all over her hand and it ended up burning her eye. I'll post pictures tommorrow!! Or Heidi will if I can't figure it out.

Stacey, I agree. They did wonderful. I can't believe not feeling well and not a cry out of them with the exception of the Joey's eye incident. Thank you for a nice time.

I heard from Julie yesterday. There was a grass fire surrounding Epcot yesterday. She said it was a strong smoke odor.

Headed up to Louise's house to pack up more stuff. Isn't it crazy to have unpacked everything over the winter just to pack it right back up in the summer. At least it is being donated and we will be done with that part of the house.

Bought a canoe yesterday in Stacey's neighborhood. We have been wanting to get back into canoing for so long. This was a cheap way to do it as we no longer have our old canoe.

Hi guys! Just popping in! We finally got the internet up in our room. We hit the Animal Kingdom this morning and did the safari and Mt. Everest. Mt Everest is really neat but SHORT! We then came home to rest since tonight will be late night at MK. We are meeting back up with Denine and Jerry tonight at Whispering Canyon at 8pm. OH HICKORY!!!! Then off to MK for late night.

Barb, did you get any rain today? We had a beautiful rain. It was short lived but sure helped out with all the vegetation I am sure. How is your mom and dad doing?

Filled the Pathfinder in an hour for the donations and already was able to donate them. Feels so good to be able to see the house cleaning out somewhat.

Ted is talking about going out canoeing after work tomorrow. He can't wait.

Hi all! We made it to Whispering Canyon BUT they decided to seat everyone else and their brother so we opted out and went on to the MK and ate sandwiches at Cosmic Rays. Brooke LOVED dancing to the space age "dino" in there. We stayed til around 1:45ish then took the boat back to Wilderness Lodge and then on home to our other "homes". We are suppose to get some rain from this tropical storm Alberto tomorrow, so we might all be staying put for awhile. We had a pretty nice down pour this afternoon that Denine and Jerry got caught in ( we made it back to our place just in time).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE TWINS!!!!! I can't believe they are already 1!!! Boy time flys! So what did they get? I know that Heidi was talking about how much paper it took to wrap it.

Had a great time at Joey and Tyler's birthday party, I really hope they will enjoy the gift I got them. We already know they liked the gift that my parents bought them because thats all they would play with once they opened those gifts up!! They were very good and I was shocked that they dug into their cakes.

Went and watched the Omen on Friday night. It had its scary parts but it was more fun to watch Chris and my cousin get scared. On one part, Chris got so scared he jumped and elbowed my cousin. Saturday was the twins birthday party and then on Sunday Chris and I took the girls to the park. We had a lot of fun, we played in the stream, had a picnic, played in the stream some more, went to the petting zoo at the park, rode the train around the park, and then carried Amanda through the stream while Emily and Chris waded in the stream. I had to carry Amanda because Emily and Chris came upon a muskrat and Amanda was terrified of the water after that. Then some kids found crawdads and Amanda was freaked out that they found "baby lobsters" in the water. We were all wearing shoes, but the bank was too high to get back on the grass so I had to carry her until we hit the bridge.

As you can see, my mom gave them the rider/push toys with balloons that they play with none stop still. Heidi gave them books and the tent with tunnels that they can crawl through. One of the structures is a ball pit.
They also got some Little People, a water table, a pool that has balls also, a Leappad that I am still learning myself and some other stuff.

Some of the toys they got say they are for one year olds but I don't see my kids playing with them anytime soon. Is that normal or are my kids behind? I don't think they are but I am just mom.

Good to see Julie post. Hope Alberto stays away but it looks like it hit Davis Island in Tampa already.

First a new car and now a boat (I mean canoe). I'll tell you those Van Horn's are really wealthy$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

We had a Union vote whether to strike or ratify the contract that they offered. It is a REALLY long story but the raise is great - 5% but they want to be able to make us work different units and some other things. It may sound selfish but some of the things do not pertain to staff nurses - they are fighting for per diem, home care, on-call, etc. I can not afford to go out on strike!
