October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

I am so ready to leave 2005 behind and start a new fresh FANTASTIC 2006.

I second that. I can't wait to say goodbye to 2005. Way too many emotional things have happened. Definitely has had its highs (twins born, getting my own house) lows (3 deaths).

Wish I could start it off wihth disney.

Sally - Bye, have a great vacation. Can't wait to hear about it when you return.

Well this is it....what doesn't get done today, doesn't get done.....sure hate to leave all my clothes behind...... but I still have a couple things to wrap and the house to clean.

My suitcase is sure going to be heavy with all the people that are going to hide in it from our waitress at Golden Corral, friends and even my stampin teacher... I do have some space bags I guess I will have to put into use.

We are getting to DW a day before Barb and that is really stressing her out....don't know if she doesn't trust us with her vacation home or is afraid we are going to have fun without her.,,, I vote for the fun without her.... Don't worry Barb, I will sit in the room and read until you get there...yeah, right!!

Don't be so hard on yourself Mom. You can go out and get something to eat too but then it is right back to the room to read!

I could just kick myself for not taking more time to book my airline tickets. I still can't believe I booked the wrong day!!

Heidi- Having Ethan born was definitely my one of the best things for me this year too. I think we need to have a wine party to toast all of us having a good 2006!

I wish I was going to WDW for CHristmas, but I also don't like going because it is always such a busy time.

Work wanted me to come in this weekend, I am too busy. One of the nurses aunt died and she is scheduled to do doubles both days. My boss even offered me a $25 dollar bonus.

Dinner is made, I just have to bake it and I have 2 loaves of banana-walnut bread in the oven. I am going to put those in the freezer. You never know when they will come in handy.

I have also been cleaning for 2 days. I think I am done for now.

Kaleigh isn't so clingy today. That makes it easier.

Jerry hopefully made our October OKW reservations. We are going to stay for 6 days after the cruise and enjoy the F&W festival.

2005 hasn't been too bad over here, the worst has been dealing with Jerry's dad. I won't complain if 2006 is better. HIghlights include Jerry's raise and bonus and our August trip.

It is supposed to snow tonight, yuck!

I didn't gain or lose any weight this week. Guess that is good. Maintain is the goal for this time of year.

I could go for a wine party, but we can't even decide on the Secret Santa day because of the slackers amongst us.

Jerry bought the last Candyland game at Walmart yesterday. There were a ton of those and Chutes and Ladders when we went before. We also managed to get it wrapped last night so we can take it on Saturday for Santa to hand out at the Christmas party. I need to make my chocolate grappa cake tomorrow. It will have amaretto instead of grappa because that is what I have.

getting tooth pulled so I should feel good next year...good

So more good than bad....but still will be glad to see 2005 go

This week is crazy for me! This friday I have Garry's Christmas program at his preschool in the morning and Makenzie's Christmas party in the afternoon. My foot is coming along ok. I still have to wear the boot shoe until after Christmas. Which makes it lots of fun walking in the snow!!!!

I just got back from picking up Garry's Capt. uniform. I also had to pick up a new pair of work dress shoes and an outside "work" coat which we forgot to order when we ordered the other stuff. $850 plus later....... NICE!!! At least it looks GREAT!!!!!!! I will take lots of pictures on the 1st and will TRY to post them.

Today was Garry's first day of working days! It was strange but nice too! It is still strange to be going to bed like "normal" people and having Garry home in the evening NOT sleeping. It will take some getting use to, but I will manage!!!

No, We too, have not gotten our Secret Santa gift as well. But if we don't get ours, we can still open with everyone else. I just love to hear what people get.

well, gotta go. Gotta go put dinner on the table. I'll check back in when I can!

My foot is hurting right now so I'm gonna have to get off of it for the rest of the night.

Mom - In september I am going to be taking off of work from September 2-18...the cruise is September 7-17 so going to WDW before the cruise would work perfect, but I was also thinking about what Jeanne said and since that is a holiday weekend it might be packed so after might be better. I don't know, the holiday gave me an extra few days to get to FL before the cruise, but Chris might want to go visit his family for a little bit.

Julie: I bet Garry looks sharp in his new uniform! I am sure it is weird actually sleeping in the same bed with your husband when you haven't done it in so long. Glad the foot is healing. Enjoy the parties tomorrow!

Sandy: Our cruise is Oct 14-21 and then we are at WDW for 6 days after.

I got a Christmas card from Darren.

It is snowing and yucky outside. But, my house should smell good after baking the cake. It has a syrup you pour over it and let it absorb. I have never made a cake like that before. It will sit until Saturday morning. I hope it is good.

Kaleigh helped me stir the dry ingredients for the cake and make the dinner preperations. She stood on a chair at the counter. I think I will have her help me more.

I work tomorrow. Then the Christmas party is Saturday morning and then Jerry and I go out to dinner and a movie Saturday night and then it is family day on Sunday. I bought a gingerbread house kit and the 3 of us are going to put it together.

I finally finished my letter to Kaleigh's birthmom last night. I write about 2 a year and send pictures. Hoping the social worker will be at the party on Saturday and I can just give it to her instead of mailing it.

I think that about covers everything.

I have such a cute story (atleast cute to me). A few weeks ago I took my best friend's son to see Santa Claus for the first time because she had to work, will he didn't like it so much and he screamed and cried (he is 2) so Santa asked me to sit down with him and they took a picture. My friend said that is the best/funniest picture ever and that she is never getting rid of it because Elijah is crying in it and I am just staring at him. When she points to santa in the picture she asked Elijah who he was and he said Heidi Claus. My friend corrected him and said Santa Claus and he said, no Heidi Claus....so this year at their house Santa is known as Heidi Claus.

Heidi: That is a cute story. The funny thing is Kaleigh has never been afraid of ANY of the DIsney characters. She thinks they are all her freinds and goes right up to them, including the dinosaur in AK. She has always screamed and cried for Santa. I am hoping tomorrow will be different.

Tough day at work. This one resident is really getting to me and I don't know why. She is dying, but I have delt with a lot of dying folks without it getting to me like this. I was almost in tears when I came home this morning. At least I get a bit of a break and don't go back until Thursday. Whether this resident will still be there, I don't know. I am guessing she will be.

Off to go mattress shopping. Ours is from when we got married and my back just can't take it anymore. I just hate to spend the money.

Probably won't be on tomorrow.

Hi Denine, I LOVE to spend OTHER peoples money. Too bad I don't live close and I could help you spend yours. Let us know about Kaleigh and Santa. Would love to hear if she accepts him this year. I know for a fact that she LOVES Disney characters. How she knows that Disney and Santa aren't the same thing is beyond me. Sorry about your patient. It has to be hard.

We bought a new mattress set tonight. It will be delivered on Tuesday. We also bought a queen bed frame with headbaord and footboard so we can use our old set as a guest bed. Everything for under $900, including delivery and tax.
We got the bed at The Original Mattress Factory. The quality seems good and the prices are good.

Sandy: It is always easy to spend other people's money!

Hello, surprise. Didn't think I would even be able to get close to a computer this weekend but Ted got called out to snowplow at 4PM today. So we did a few things and now he is napping. Thought I could take advantage and say hello to all.

Denine, you will be so happy with the new set! Glad you got it. It really sounds like a good deal.
