Sandy: Sounds like you had a wonderful and relaxing day with your girls. Very special indeed. I could use a day like that!

Off tomorrow and work Sunday.

Today turned out sooooo special. Not only did Heidi treat me to the manicure and pedicure but also a massage, facial and lunch. Stacey was there too getting the works. After the last 6 months it was nice to relax and make fun new memories. Thanks Heidi!!
Your welcome!!! :grouphug: We definitely needed it and it was so much fun.

Denine - that is so sad about your mickey wind sock. How did your cheese and wine party go? I love cheese, I am a cheese maniac.

I had a very busy weekend, glad it is over with.

Good Morning

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I worked on cleaning the house shopping and wrapping presents and got our stocking for the contest "Mostly" done. I still need to get the rutters on the sleigh and put the Santa License plate on.

I am so not even close to being done shopping for Christmas. We are going out this next weekend. Hope I can get done.

Sounds like a fun fun day Heidi and Sandy. I LOVE to go to the Spa. Which one did you go to? I want to take Jaymee and Tiffany to a Spa in Denver in February. Bob will be overseas and since they are both having milestone birthdays this year I thought a day at the Spa would be a fun day. Any suggestions for all day Spas in Denver?

Went to see Narnia Friday night. It was pretty good. Got to see a preview for the second Pirates of the Carribean movie. Looks great! Can't wait!

What is up with the board and the signatures? Does this mean they are no more?

Barb - We went to Beau Visage up at the DTC. Check out their website: http://www.bvspa.com/

Guess everyone was busy this weekend, not much to read.

Saturday, we made the gingerbread cutouts, Kaleigh helped put on the "buttons" and hang them on the tree. Sunday was another busy day at work. But, in the afternoon, we made the regular cutouts and had fun decorating them. Kaleigh really loves that part. It took a long time to make them all since I made 2 batches of dough.
Jerry even made a "golden Mickey" cookie. Now all the cookies are done. I still have to make this tea bread thing for the Christmas party with Santa on Saturday morning.

This week, I start wrapping presents after Kaleigh goes to bed.

Are we doing the Secret Santa on Friday evening?

Barb: I can't wait to see a picture of your WINNING Christmas stocking.

Can someone adopt me and take me to a spa for a massage and facial?

We are going to see Narnia this Saturday. Dinner and a movie for us, playtime with Katie for Kaleigh.

Wine and cheese party was nice. I had a block of cheddar in the freezer since 2003, but I wrapped it very well and it was still fresh. I also got this Doubliner cheese and a double Gloucester and a gouda. All yummy. We opened a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and slice up the Asiago cheese bread and enjoyed! We turned on the fireplace and watched a Christmas movie. Too tired for anything else :rolleyes1

I don't work again until Friday, maybe it will be a little calmer by then.

I am so glad my Christmas shopping is done!

Bet your house smelled good Denine...love to smell things baking...

I got most of my shopping done...only a couple more things and that won't take long...gift certificates

Have to go to the dentist to get a tooth pulled....I hate it as bad as...going to a dentist.

Dick and I went shopping early yesterday...he actually bought the gifts for two of my son in laws....did a good job too. All these years he has had me convienced he couldn't shop.....but he still won't wrap

Denine - your cheese and wine night sounded nice!!!!! I wish Chris would come up with something like that for us!! Why can't guys think that way!!!!

As for the Secret Santa, I think you are the only one that has received anything.

I am going to see Narnia as well on Saturday. The girls teacher is reading the book to them and if they see the movie and tell her the differences between the book and the movie they get extra credit. So they begged us last weekend if we could go see it this weekend, of course the answer was yes. I don't even know what it is about.

Busy, busy day with estate stuff. Ted took the day off and we hit nothing but obstacles.

I don't think Friday will be realistic Denine because I think you are the only one that has received anything.

Oh, oh Ted needs the computer.

I haven't but I have not sent mine either. :guilty: Bob and I are shopping this weekend then mailing on Monday.

Barb - were you able to look at the website for the day spa that I sent you?

I didn't look yesterday but believe it or not I have looked at that one before. Someone else referred me to it. I am also looking at one in a hotel around there. The one you mentioned has a lot more reasonable prices. Is it nice? Is it private?

I thought it was very nice. You walk into the building to a reception area and wait for your hostess to take you back. Your hostess takes you through these doors and to the Women's locker room. Behind the doors there are private massage rooms and facials rooms. Out in the common area (behind the doors from the reception area there is a small conference room, a small dining room, a make-up area and a lounge where everyone receiving a treatment will sit and wait for someone to come get them for their service. There is hot tea, ice tea, lemon water, cookies, brownies, etc for you to enjoy while you are there. In the locker room there is robes, sandals, hair products, a sauna, etc for you to enjoy. A bigger room off the lounge is where you can get the manicure and pedicure. I think there was about 8 pedicure chairs and manicure tables set up. To me it was private, but this was my first experience at a spa.

I guess Friday is out then. I sent my Secret Santa. We could try for the 23rd or it will have to be after Christmas.

I can't seem to have 5 minutes to do anything today. I keep hearing "mommy". Kaleigh says her teeth don't hurt, so I don't know.

I have so many things to do and no time to do them.

Grocery shopping tonight.

Nothing else going on.

Our vacation is starting sooner than I planned. It was Friday afternoon and now it is Thursday morning so I have a day less to get ready.

First we go to Patti's until Sunday, then to Linda's until Wed. then to Austin to my grandsons and then to Galveston the next day. Back from cruise the following Monday...fly out of Austin the 28th to Orlando. Will be there until the 5th and then back track home the 8th.

I had a tooth pulled yesterday....have been putting it off because I hate to go to the dentist but I went to a new one that is really, really good. Didn't feel a thing and he had to break it up to get it out as the top broke off. So glad it is done.....I haven't felt real good for the last 6 months and it was infected so hope that will help.

Barb, I say the spa was extremely nice. I loved the way they took special care of everyone. I loved the lunch. I loved all the private rooms. I just loved it period!!

I don't have my secret santa gift yet either.

Sally, I think you are going to need a vacation to rest up after your vacation! :rotfl2: I bet getting that tooth out will make you feel a hundred percent better. Infection can make a big difference. Believe me, I know. I had a surprise one that even my dentist didn't catch and by the time I went to a specialist it was too late. I had to have my tooth pulled and a bridge put in.

Denine, I have told myself that it will all work out. Things will get done in time. :confused3 Whatever. I can't seem to really believe that. I know how aggravating it is trying to figure out how to work it all in. Graci is even wanting all my attention. That time of year......

Okay I know that my mom and I have sent our gifts to our Secret Santas, and I think Denine has too.....anyone else??? All you lurkers???

Good Morning!!

Heidi-That spa sounds wonderful! Just what I am looking for. I will have to book! Thanks for the referral.

I am so sorry I have been such a slacker about the gift exchange. I have not even done my shopping which is usually almost done by October. This has been a really challenging year for me. I am so ready to leave 2005 behind and start an new fresh FANTASTIC 2006. Since we will be in Disney that is about the best start I can think of!!

My Mom and Dad leave tomorrow. Seems they are always leaving me what is up with that! HAVE FUN ON YOUR CRUISE MOM, I WILL MISS YOU.
