October 19, 2008 4 day Bahama - anyone else?

may I ask where you got the clip with the characters looking goofy. It is towards the bottom of your door. I have one but it is not good when you blow it up.
TIA,
Michelle

i'll have to ask robin when she gets home. she's one one who handles that stuff. i'm a computer dummy.:headache:

Anyway...I've been gone from the boards for a while trying to get this vacation planned. So it looks like it is just going to be me (43) and my son (11). BF & son & mother not going! So a much smaller group than I had planned on but oh well, we will still have a great time! :yay:

that you will.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :dance3: :dance3:

Hello everyone!
Still planning the vacation. Won't rest until every detail is in place! I'm a diehard planner!! but that's half the fun right?

We are going to Disney after the cruise what is the recommended way of transportation?

If we do the ME, won't it take forever to get to the resorts? And does the towncar provide services from the port to Disney?

Anyone else done this before?

Valerie

I'm not sure what everyone does...we drive..heehee...I haven't even made my hotel reservations for after the cruise yet...tsk tsk..I need to get on that right away..LOL

last year we rented a car from Budget after the cruise. they pick you up at the port and take you to their store. picked up the car and got to wdw pretty quick. we then spent that 1 day at wdw and drove to the airport the next morning, dropped off the car at budget and flew home. it went very smooth and only cost a 1 day rental. it was cheaper than the dcl transfer.
this time we're going to try the dcl bus and try to get to the bus stop early and see how soon we can make it to wdw.:wizard:

Wow, what a group!! We are late comers who just signed on in early August. It is me, DH, 10year old son and new baby. This is the kids and I first cruise. So excited:banana:   Dh likely thinks I'm crazy on how much i am planning, so fun though.

I hear that you all meet at 3pm the first day?

got an email from the airlines about a change in our flight time.
they moved it up 10 minutes.
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: 10 extra minutes in florida.:woohoo: :lmao:

You know were all really nuts! I think I have found the right group of Disney fans! Looking forward to meeting everyone!:woohoo:

So, we're back from San Diego. I had a business trip there.... trying to figure out now if I can get a job out there.... LOVED IT!!!! :thumbsup2

I've added updates to the roll call--- Welcome aboard, familyfun5.

I've also added info on the DIS meet (3pm on Embarkation day at Mickey Pool) and the start of a list of fish extender participants. PM me with any additional entries to the fish extender list-- unless someone else is keeping a list.

Happy Friday!

I just got back from a 2 week vacation to Indiana, took the kids to visit Grandma in South Bend. OMG, you people were chatty while I was unplugged! I have lots to catch up on. The good news is that Disney is now the next vacation/trip to look forward to and plan for! I am so stinkin' excited!:yay:

CastleCreations, I cannot believe how cute those outfits are that you made for your girls!! I really need to find some pirate outfits for my boys. I have matching shirts for boarding, we each have a white t-shirt with our Incredibles character on it (Mr. Incredible, Elastagirl, Dash and Jack-Jack).

My Mom has finished our fish extender, I just have to find the little Micky heads that go on the dowel. She and my Dad are starting to get excited for the trip too. Their first cruise! My kids are excited, but we also just got a Basset Hound puppy this week upon our return, and she is such a love! Crossing my fingers she is old enough to have all her shots before the trip so we can board her. I'd rather not have to get a house sitter for her. What do you all do with pets when you leave?

What a cutie!! When we had a dog, we would board her at the "pet spa", unless of course family or friends were available for the duration of our time away. It's the whole reason that we've not gotten another dog since her passing (3 years ago)--- I plan too many trips, and the cost of boarding hasn't been worked back into the budget.

BTW-- I've added you to the updated fish-extender participant section after the roll call list on post #14.

Cheers,

Thanks for adding us to the list! Just the 4 of us (Me, DH, DS9 and DS6) are doing the fish extender thingy-ma-bob - Grandma and Grandpa opted out.

And I hear you on the dog break. Our last cutie pie passed away 4 years ago this week. My youngest is going into 1st grade next week, so both my kiddos will be gone all day. I decided I needed a baby girl in the form of a dog to keep me occupied, LOL.

Was just considering signing the boys up for the Haunted Pirate Cruise when we're at WDW before the cruise. Sounds like fun for bigger boys, but I'm not sure. Both of the boys liked the description, so I'll call tomorrow and see if there is still room. http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

As for excursions on the cruise, I did sign us up for a snorkeling one when we're in Nassau and thought we'd wing it on Castaway Cay day and beach it.

nothing but the best for robins dog.:worship:
we havnt gotten a new one yet. with the kids out of the house, we travel more and not sure about getting a new poochie.
