Hey Angie!

We sat at the table next to Mr. Disney for dinner every night. I was amazed at how many times they were in the dining room. He was on board to present his film "Morning Light".

So am I the only one that has booked a CAT 12 room and anxiously awaiting to see what I get? I am checking the website and waiting to hear from my TA (as a matter for fact, I might bug her today about it)

I see upgrades offers and assignments for those traveling on the 10/10 cruise, so hoping we hear this week.

Let us know when you find out, Laura! I'm anxious to hear what you get!!! I might have to sneak over and read the 10/10 thread. Any MAGICal upgrades? Or are they all paid upgrade offers???

I'm getting less optimistic about the possibility of a free or cheap upgrade for me. I'm in a cat 9, which there are plenty of. Cat 6, on the other hand, is only available as GTY. Lots of 5s and 4s though. My theory is that they'll call the cat 6 people and offer them cheap upgrades to cat 4, and then they'll call and offer me one of the newly vacant cat 6s.

We will be fine staying in the Cat 9. My parents are in a 6 so it would be nice to be up with them.

Yes, I've stayed in cat 9 the past three times I've sailed and it's fine. It's just that my husband has never stayed in a verandah room (because we're too cheap to pay listed price for it ) and he'd like to at least once. If we don't get a call we'll try to upgrade at port. If that doesn't work, we'll be perfectly happy where we are.

Mid July 2008. I've also booked a 3night in Dec 2010, so after this cruise I'll have another long wait until the next one

I am thinking of when my next cruise will be (even though I haven't ever cruised before, but I still feel certain I am going to love it and want a repeat). I already know I have to go to the Midwest for my nephew's graduation in the Spring of 2010 and I am hoping to go to WDW in Jan/Feb. of 2011. I am waiting for tomorrow's announcements before I make too many decisions. My husband and I like to travel in October every year for our anniversary, but we have decided to hold off deciding on next year's trip until after our upcoming cruise.

My TA just told me she called DCL and no assignment yet, but they told her within the week. (Wonder if that is like the check is in the mail).

QOTD... We booked this cruise on May 18th, 2009... Just 2 days after we missed our cruise, due to an illness.

I will be happy no matter were we are. We knew that chances of an upgrade to an outside stateroom would be slim, but we can hope

We booked while on the Westbound Panama Canal cruise last may. We booked it to avoid the fuel charge as that was going to be implamented a few days after we got off the Magic las May.

I just checked my reservation and we have been assigned room on Deck 1. Should I be happy we get room on Deck 1?

The only thing that has changed in our reservation is that we are both now Castaway Gold members.

WOOHOO Just checked our reservation and we went from a CAT 12 to Cat 9!!!!... Deck 2 on Starboard side, midship

And it sleeps 4, so DD will be happy with the upper bunk!
