October 15th, 2005 roll call

I just changed our trip to 10-15 through 10-22. These were the next best dates. We were booked for spring break but an upcoming ankle surgery changed those plans. We were going to surprise DS 7 and DS 5 for spring break so it's good they didn't already know. Currently we are a bit disappointed but I think the new dates will be better than the week before Easter. It seems like a long wait. We are staying at Shades of Green.

I'm a little behind on my message boards! DH is in the Air Force reserves. We really like Shades of Green. We have not been since they refurbished. We stayed at the Contmporary last year while SOG was closed. I think the week we are going is the PGA golf tournament week. That might add some extra crowds around the hotel since it sits in the middle of the golf courses that they play in the tournament. Where are you staying for your trip?

We are going Oct 15 - 22nd, and we are staying at the SOG. I am a big golf fan and we hope to get a room overlooking one of the greens. I am retired AF and this will be our first time staying at SOG.

You cant be serious? October 15th - 22nd is PGA week? Crud! I had hoped to avoid a large crowd at WDW. I've heard that whenever there is a convention, tournament, etc.. that the parks fill up.

Just booked this morning!! We'll be there Oct 15-25th, staying at the Polynesian...so excited, especially since it will be my DD's first trip, and our first time at MNSSSHP

You guys are right. There is the PGA tournament going on during then. My Dad is excited. If anyone needs a partner to play with, he is your man. None of us play and he will be going alone. PM me if you would like a golf partner. Also, we are looking at the 18th on a Tuesday for MNSSHP. The next date for us would be that Friday on the 21st. I think Friday would be much more crowded than Tuesday. This will be our first time too.. so excited.

It should not be too bad the dates are October 21-24 at the Palm and Magnolia Golf Courses. So the weekend may be a bit crowded.

Lord no. I got out in 1999. DD was 4 and I didnt want to move her around anymore. I was a Security Police Officer. Guarded nuclear weapons, aircraft, airstrips. Got out. Became a police officer. Got shot in the leg/hip. Got out of that too. Now I am a computer technician. Quite a bit of hopping huh? LOL

We (dmom, dsis, dw, ds-7, ds-2 & me) are going again this Oct. This year, my ds-7's Fall Break from school is the week of 17 Oct, so we will be at CSR 15-22 Oct. Right now, we have a courtesy hold on 2 rooms at the AAA rate. Will be "officially booked" by the end of next week.

Hoping for a pin code or AP rates between now and Oct.

DH and I will be there Oct 14th - 28th, staying for the 1st 9 days in SSR and the remaining time in BW. Can't wait!!!

We are still in the process of making our plans but IF we are able to go it will be October 15 - 22. Curious how bad the crowds will be with the golf tournament going on though .... DD's 4th birthday is 10/18 which is why we had planned to go that week.

we are going Oct 14 - 22, staying at POP, also i read where some of you guy's were talking about the golf tourament, i made another thread asking if the tourament made Disney more busy and eveyone said they did not see a difference. so lets hope and pray thats how it works out.

We will be at Pop Oct. 14-23! Me, DH, and DS9.

I asked DH about the golf tournament last weekend. He said it usually isn't the HUGE name players - it is the players in danger of dropping off the exemption list so they need to try to improve their standings. I have only read ONE post that said the crowds were bad because of the golf tournament. There was another thread a week or so ago and it was on there. I read the replies to the thread you started tonight and they all look good.

Are you going to MNSSHP? We have our tickets for the 16th!

I'm down for a long weekend (October 12-16). Can't wait to go to MNSSHP. We went for the frist time last year and LOVED it.

I'm also going down for a week in July at the Poly.

DH and I will be at CBR Oct 15-23! We've had this trip booked since January when they advertised the new My Way plan. We're looking forward to the dining. Be sure to wear your lime green ribbons!

We'll be at the World from Oct. 14-22nd! Then, we'll be leaving for a 7 nt. Western DCL cruise , returning back for one last night at the MK on the 29th!

We won't be staying on property this time , but we were fortunate enough to get the $1.18 rooms at the Holiday Inn-DTD! So, that will more than make up for it, and may even allow me to return for a week after Christmas!
