We are planning on going on the 11 day, and I am getting ready to book a 2007 in October, so it sounds like some of you will be there, not sure which dates yet!!

I am soooo envious - I really wanted to try the 11-night cruise (of course that was before I heard about the Med itinerary we can't afford) but we had already made plans to take my parents to WDW this October. Be sure to let us know how you like it; you're going to get to visit some lovely islands.

PS. I just re-read my post and talk about serious role reversal...I promised to take my parents to WDW?????

I am with you! I am so excited to be finally taking my parents to WDW next month!! Too funny!!

I was able to rent more points and get them a studio at the BWV too. They are going to love it. The only park I am taking them too is Epcot. I think they will enjoy that.
We have dinner reservations for Tepanyaki???

We also are going to Ohana on Thursday night. They love to eat and so I think they will really enjoy that part of the trip.

We leave in a little over 30 days!!

There are some mean DIS people!!! I really got yelled at a while back and I have not posted much since!! I swear this one woman was going to hunt me down at my resort and have me thrown out. All because I said my Cousin was joining me one day and that we may take a pool break!!! OMG!! Non resort guests can not use the pool!!!! So I added my Cousins name to my reservation since I had room for one more and so now she can use the resort pool!! Well the women called me a liar and started searching my other posts and quoting me??? I asked the moderator to close the thread and they did!! Get a life!!!!! The thing is I did not know what I posted was wrong. I had called the BWV and asked if my Cousin could join me for the day and they had said sure???? I was misinformed??? Oh well I learned that you can not put out too much info sometimes..

Ok I have rambled too much!! I hope all is well for everyone!!!

I think we all should have gone on the 11 day as sort of a reunion cruise!!

It's so funny I reserved this before we cruised Oct. 15, but I was never sure we would go....well this year we have had such a bad year...I lost my Dad, we just convinced him to move close to us and we moved him into his new apt. the following day he passed away.....It really was devastating, He was my buddy. ....Then 1 month later, Brians Mom passed away, she had been battling cancer for the last 10 years and it finally was too much. So now "Life is too short" has a new meaning. Therefore we are keeping the cruise and having a great time with our boys!!

You both (Brenda/BabyJosie) are awesome "kids" to be taking your parents to Disney, enjoy every moment, that is the best

Nice to see there's still some activity on this thread. Hope everyone is doing ok. My 5 yr old is getting hit hard by the spring allergies and is feeling pretty miserable right now.

We just booked our next cruise! We'll be doing the 7 night western next January; Key West is big on our wish list and we'll be able to check that off. We may hit the parks a few days before the sailing, since the kids will have some days off of school then.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, they mean a lot! Time definitely heals and we are doing pretty good right now.


How was the Wonder, is it as nice as the Magic is?? Since our next cruise is on the Wonder I'd love to know....did you miss the Jumbotron??

I need to check our dates and see what week in Oct 2007 we will be cruising....It would be fun to have the same week!!

The Wonder is every bit as nice as the Magic, but I really didn't miss the jumbotron too much this trip...as we had freinds along and spent alot of time in Cove cafe and Diversions. It would be great to watch the new POTC movie up on deck though!
The layout is the same as the Magic, only some of the names are changed. The decor is slightly different, and I like the look of the Wonder more than the Magic's. Beat Street area on the Magic is Route 66 on the Wonder, and I really like the theming they have done. Triton's ( Lumeres on the Magic) has a beautiful tile mural on the wall, and I love the Little Mermaid out in front of the restaurant.
I hope you all have a great time, 11 days is going to be heaven!

Sounds like you had a great time!! I'm glad to hear the Wonder is looking good!! I can't wait to go on a cruise again, we had so much fun!!

So since you had a 4 day were you dying when you had to get off....please let me have 3 more days!! I know it was hard to get off the 7day!

I just found out when the boys Fall Break is for 2007, October 8-12, so I'll have to look up what cruise is available then. We booked a cruise when we were on the ship, now we just have to get it to the right date!!

We are headed to DISNEY WORLD on Sunday morning!!

taking DD and my nephew...This is his first trip...

My Cousin is going with her family...Best friend Barb and kids fly down on Tuesday and then Mom and Dad on Wednesday!!!
Should be fun....

I can't wait!!

Then July 2 we leave for Miami...For a 4 night cruise on Majesty of the seas to Key West,Nassau and Cocoa Cay. Anxious to see how RCL private Island compares to DCL.
We also excited about Key West. We have a group of 12 going on this trip.

Hello friends!!

I'm calling in all prayers tonight. My mom had a mild stroke and an Amaurosis Fugax (blood clot that breaks off from a large artery and flows up to the brain) last Friday night.

She had another AF on Sunday. We were at WDW for the past week but they didn't want to call us. (Typical parents).

We were told that her clot came from her heart. Tomorrow she is having a procedure done where they can tell how big the hole is in her heart where the clot passed through. If it's small then they will treat it with blood thinners and send her home. If it's too big, then they are talking surgery.

Please include my mom (Klara) in your prayers tonight.

Jo n Danny...glad to hear you enjoyed the Wonder. I love the mural in Tritons - it is awesome. Question - did you feel 4 days was too short?? We'd love to sail on her again.

(ping ping)...yeah Paul...am enjoying how the Dbaks are currently playing. Still feel we are 1 (quality) starting pitcher away. It's sad that the attendance for games is down...appears everybody in Phx is getting caught up with the Suns in the b-ball playoffs. Don't give up...my friend...it's not a spint...it's a l-o-n-g season. Hope this finds you and the girls well.

Brenda...all I can say is WOW - almost eleven thousand people have reviewed your trip report. The royalties alone should be enough for a third DCL ship - in your honor...of course. I can see it now…Handsome Pete and the Cheshire Cat on the fantail. Give Jay a hug for us...then have him hug you back...ahhhh - I'd be remiss if I did not suggest a treat for Handsome Pete.

We've rebooked for October 13 in 07. Currently - sailing with Mark/Jen...anyone one else joining us??? I know - I know...it's still hurricane season and i don't see a scheduled dry dock - yet...but...you go when you can go. This time just works out great for us - and we only have to take the DD's out of school for 3 days (spending 2 days before at WDW). Jo/Danny-Chuck/Nancy...we will take good care of the ship as you will be getting on when we get off...hope I can 'cash in' on a hug...it'll help with my post cruise depression. Glad to hear about other molars and their vacation plans.

Thanks for the prayers....

Looks like my mom had 2 mini strokes and the Amorousis Fugax. The clot came from her heart so now there is a hole in it. After further testing, the hole is small enough so they sent her home on Sunday with blood thinners and a whole new outlook on life!! That's all it would take for me!!

Chuck and I are game for a reunion!! Anytime...any place.

Congrats to Jo & Danny who added a new son in law to their family over this weekend. Hopefully the weather in Memphis was cooler than we had in Milwaukee this past weekend. It hit 92 yesterday and we are expecting the same for today.

Hiya everybody!

Glad to see that there are still some Molars hanging around who refuse to be pulled.

We were down in Florida over Memorial Day weekend...left STL on Thursday morning and flew back early yesterday afternoon. We were hanging out at Universal / Islands of Adventure this time... I just love Portofino Bay. Somehow our "reasonably" priced getaway turned into a spend-fest of ridiculous proportions...Jason and I kept saying things like, "we've been working 60-hour work weeks for the last two months...we deserve it" or "it's been a tough year healthwise for me (Brenda) so we need to visit the Mandara Spa again," and my personal favorite, "just charge it."

The weather was glorious...I think we may have discovered our other favorite time of year to visit the Sunshine State. I'm sure I can convince Jay to visit Florida more than once a year.

Nancy - glad to hear that your mom is doing better; we'll be keeping you guys in our thoughts.

Paul - I commend your loyalty, really. Things will probably pick up somewhat when Derek Lee comes back from the DL, but I fear your Cubbies will be pretty far out of contention by that time.

Kevin - so nice to hear from you again! I was stunned when I wandered back over to the report board and saw the hits on my thread...scary, the stuff that people will read.

I don't think Jay & I will be cruising DCL in 2007 but we'd be up for a reunion at the mousetrap if anyone is going to be there in October.

Who wants to Booze and Grub around the world with us???

We just got back from Orlando on Saturday. We had a great trip to WDW and I loved the BWV!!! I am spoiled now! I may have to check in to DVC. We had rented points for this past trip.

Our weather was great! It only got really hot toward the end of the week and then it was not bad.

We tried the new menu at Ohana at the Poly and we loved it!! I like the new way they do the shrimp...

We rode EE at AK 5 times. That is a fun ride!!!!

We did so much this past week and we are worn out!!!

I think It is you that is booked on the Oct 13, 2007 cruise??? We are thinking about that one or maybe the 4 day on the Wonder.

I would love to cruise Disney again, but the prices just keep going up up up!
We are going on RCL in July and so I am anxious to see how Josie likes it since all she has cruised is DCL.

I will let you all know how it is and how their private Island compares to DCL. I have a feeling the beaches won't be as crowded??? DCL family beach gets scary at times!! It gets so packed!!!

Gary and I are planning to get re-married next May 2007! We are renting a big beach house in Gulf Shores Al and just have a few family and friends with us. A simple beach wedding.... I thought about a cruise ,but everyone would have to get pass ports by then and that is just too much trouble. Plus the house will give us a laid back relaxing vacation and Gulf Shores is a very family oriented location.

Ok...That is all I know...
