Thanks,
Paul

But, man oh man, I'm going to be disappointed if we don't make it to St. Martin! All this discussion of guavaberries has me pumped!! :teeth:

Maybe I should bring my Bottle just in case we miss it. We can have an impromptu DIS meet and each have a shot in honor of our missed island. *laugh*

Of course, it is better in the Guavaberry Colada. :)

I stand corrected, but still an unfortunate name, don't you think? Or perhaps I'm the only one with the gutter mind. We're starting potty training with DS, so I have an abnormal focus on those body parts right now.

Oh no you aren't. You don't want to know the wise cracks that have been made about how that particular liquor was created.

I want my "JEEP" for the day....and what about the Shlongman??? :rotfl2:

Our ports are going to be fine!!!! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Paige,

Tell your hubby to pick up a 12 pack when you get to Cape Canaveral and just take it on board with him. I am grabbing a couple bottles of wine! ;)

We have a fridge on board or you can use these silver buckets and they will keep them filled with ice for your beer. Our Stateroom guy always had ice for us... Beer was high and the group I was with spent way to much to drink beer for 4 days...I like the fru fru drinks...Those I can sip on for a long time!!

I did see on the recent Navigators that there is a 2 for 1 Margarita night!!

Oh, another question. How much is beer on board? I got another gem of a comment from DH last night about how mad he was going to be if he paid $5K for a vacation and then they jacked up the price of beer. Boy, he's going to be a joy on this trip.

I admit that I enjoy a nice cold one, so.... I'm bring a 12 pack from home. :drinking1
We arrive late on the 14th and we are using Disney transportation, so no chance to pick any up in florida. The airlines allow it on as a carry-on, so that's what I'm doing. :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Just a quick "hi" to all. I have to work through my lunch because our top salesman strategically had his huge monthly billing to my desk early. I don't usually get it until the 15th of the month. Darn!!! Should've kept my mouth shut about leaving on the 14th!! I guess I should be flattered that he doesn't trust anyone else with it while I'm gone! :teeth:

Blue skies...nothing but blue skies for the very near future. :wizard: :wizard:

Hey Brenda...remember I asked you about the Bahama's immigration forms? TA called me today and said they sent her some for us. Yeah!!!! Now I can have everything done before we leave. :cheer2:

Michelle...keep us updated on the weather. If it's too bad, then just lie to us!! :goodvibes

Later people,
Nancy :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Taking a breather for some lunch.

I now know more about the US and European agricultural scale / weighing markets than I ever wanted to. I will spare all of you the details. :rotfl2:

I've considered bringing wine with us, but we're already going to have so much stuff that I'm reluctant to add any more balast to the pack mule (that would be Jason). We did order a bottle for our room on Saturday...Pinot Grigio...yummmmm... along with some fruit and cheese. That will take care of one day!

Catch you all later!

B. :goodvibes

give your 'pack mule' a rest. Suggestion...call Shirley with 'the perfect gift'. she will make up a basket with 'adult beverages' - that will be waiting in your stateroom - no fuss...no muss. When I told her what I wanted in nan's basket...I expected the price to be ~$40-50 more than it was. Very nice to deal with...VERY reasonable prices...can't wait to see Nan when she opens the door - Shhhhh...it's a secret.

'the Kevin watch'...2 hours...10 minutes...Then I become Flash from the Incredibles.

I keep telling you, Matt & your hubby are going to get along great, I asked him if he wanted to "pack" any beer, and he said a 12 pack isn't going to last him more than a day if he has "to be surrounded by mickey stuff"...

If you see this man wandering the ship with a beer in one hand and a lost look in the other, please direct him to his room...

Ya know what Mia,

All these men (why is it always the men?) that judge this trip before they go aggrevate me!! UGH! My Aunts Husband is the same way about their cruise and Gary felt that way about WDW till we went!!!
How can you not love that ship!! It is not all just Mickey everywhere and he will find that out..I think it is one of the most beautiful ships sailing.... ::MickeyMo

So much for adults to enjoy! I bet he will end of loving it,just cause he is wanting to hate it so much!

My Mom was that way about WDW till I took her for a short trip in May and we stayed at AKL for 3 nights! :goodvibes She was blown away by the whole experience!! Not at all what she expected!

So just ignore his comments and let him find out for himself!! If I see him wandering though I will send him back to your room! :rotfl:

This is Gary's first experience with DCL,but he is just happy to not have to go to the job sight for a week...I think he will love it though! He does make fun of me all the time for being so excited, but so does the rest of my family and co-workers!!
I don't care!! I love life and I am not afraid to act like a big kid...He is really going to make fun of me when I start Crying the morning we go to port! :confused3 I can't help it! :flower:

Here in the Carolinas we're gettting drenched :umbrella: in the tropical moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Tammy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as we were in the middle of a drought, however I hope it's the last tropical system I see for awhile. The folks on the Weather Channel say they are "watching" a disturbed area in the Atlantic...Let's hope that quickly fizzles or moves due North!
'the Kevin watch'...2 hours...10 minutes...Then I become Flash from the Incredibles.
Have a safe trip, Kevin (and family)! We'll see you on board! :boat:  :teeth:

Thanks Michelle...
I am so excited about going on my first disney cruise. I've only done mexican cruises. Matt acts like a big grump about this trip, but I think its because he has never cruised before (mia and I did it by ourselves during our seperation) and he thinks I'm going overboard with the costumes, tag game, etc....

Either way, I won't let him rain on my parade! :cheer2:

Griselda (Mia's Mom!)

hey...we must all be married to the same man that has been cloned! the beer mug last year was $10 filled the first time and about $6 to fill it each addl time throughout the cruise...my hubby really liked the mug and plans to buy a matching one this year......

I forgot about the beer mug - that's a good idea. I do think the bucket o' beer is a good idea, too, depending on what your hubby likes to drink. Jason and I can never finish that many by ourselves so we never order it.

But, put an entire bottle of wine or champagne in front of us and we have no trouble finishing it by ourselves! :teeth:

I was able to get out of the office by 4PM today - the voice mail is changed, the email is set, the desk is clean, and the employees are on their own...I am outta there until October 24th!!! :cheer2:

Did that ever feel good! Have a great weekend everyone...not long now!!

Brenda :goodvibes

PS. Go Cards (Just warming up for tomorrow night's game!) :cheer2:

I hate to be a thread hog...but when I got here this morning we were at the bottom of the page...gasp!

I'll be lurking through Wednesday...I can't be the onlly one, can I?

Brenda

PS - It is finally autumn in Missouri...very bright and cold this morning...we didn't turn the furnace on last night and it's 65 degrees in my house...brrrr! I need some Caribbean warmth. :sunny:

GO CARDS! :teeth:

No way! :teeth: I'll be here through Wednesday morning, too!

There's a new "subtropical" depression out in the Atlantic. The good news is that it should be out of the way well before our cruise. The bad news (for me) is that it is heading towards North Carolina.

Bad news, part 2: It's projected path also puts it near Norfolk (where the Magic is drydocked) and "in the way" of the Magic's return to Port Canaveral. Let's hope it moves out of the way in time to not disrupt the Magic's return!

Obligatory "Molar Express" comment: I have a checkpoint appointment with my oral surgeon on Monday. It should be routine, but ...

One week until we're on the Magic!

Sam, I noticed that too about Norfolk. I hope all that rain and wind will not cause a slow down in work on the Magic and cause her to be delayed before she heads back to Port Canaveral.

So how does something like this affect the Magic on its return to Port Canaveral? And when is it scheduled to leave Norfolk, anyway? I would think it would be in Florida by Friday just to get things finalized for us crazy 10/15 cruisers who are soooo anxious to get this trip started.

Back to the tropical thing... isn't the water colder in October up the east coast and wouldn't that help to prevent the formation of anything too strong? I'm a dummy when it comes to this stuff...we just have to worry about tornadoes, flash floods, and ice storms out here. :teeth:

Growing anxious....relaxing pedicure effects wearing off...I need some sort of fruity tropical beverage!

See ya later.

Brenda :goodvibes

PS - Sam, good luck with the dentist on Monday! :goodvibes
