How ya'll doin'? I know you all have been concerned about my root canal, more so then me. Right???:confused3 Well I had the root canal today.:cool1: My dentist keeps telling me laughter is the best medicine, but HE is the only laughing!!!!:lmao: Today he walks in with this mask on his face and I sais doc you can't hid from me I know it's you behind that stupid looking mask. He just laughed and laughed. (I think there is something wrong with that man.) And, the whole time he was working in my mouth he was whistling!!!!:rolleyes1 And, come on sing it with me, he was whistling, come on you know it, "Whistle While You Work." Even thru that stupid looking mask I could tell what tune he was whistling!!! He's and evil man!!!:scared1:
Well still no envelope he at our household. DW:love: and I have started racing each other to the mailbox to see if there is an envelope in there or not. (Most of the time she beats me.) She cheats. Well, we'll keep looking. Talk to ya'll later.
:rotfl2:........ I bet your dentist looks forward to seeing you!
Heres a envelope picture for those who haven't seen it yet.
Back from vacation and took over 1200 photographs:lmao::scared1::scared1:
If anyone is thinking of investing in a good photo card its all on one 4 GB card and there was still room for more! I guess it will be enough to get me through the cruise. I am a photography nut!

Hi everyone. Will we finally got the infamous manilla envelope in the mail today.:cool1:  :thumbsup2 As usual DW and I had the race of the century to the mail box again today. BUT I WON!!!! I had to trip her to do it, :rolleyes1 but hey what the heck..... I WON!!!!! Hey, she landed in some soft bushes by the mailbox don't feel to sorry for her. Scared the heck out of the squirrel in the bushes. She always counts 1.....2.....and we are suppose to take off running on 3. But, nooooooooooooo, she counts 1.........2 and then takes off running and after she is ahead by 8 or 10 steps she shouts back 3. Then I start running. Finally after 12 or 15 times of this I caught on just what she was doing.:thumbsup2 I know I'm slow on the up take sometimes but you can't fool me all of the time. After I did my victory dance and waved the envelope in her face a couple of times I helped her out of the bushes. After all I AM a southern gentlemen:cool1:
Hope ya'll are having a great week. We are now!!! Talk to you soon.:woohoo:

To all of you with your well wishes. Yes I am feeling better today. My dentist is a pretty good joe. He didn't hurt me too bad. He knows if he does I'll slap him silly. hahahahahahaha
Just 4 short months to go everyone. Are you guys looking forward to this cruise as much as we are???? I'll bet you are!!!

Hey Bev, welcome back! :)

davidls, your too funny! :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a great week! School just ended yesterday and the summer fun (busy-ness) has already started.

P.S. We have dentist appointments for the family today and tomorrow. Wish us luck! All that talk about root canals and disturbed dentists :scared1: is making me a little nervous. ;)

Now how on Earth are all of you going to be believable pirates on Pirate Night if you keep practicing good oral hygeine??!!

Since we are talking about root canals I thought I'd share my root canal story (sorry if it's a bit long) :) My dentist referred me to this older guy and things were going fine-- he numbed the RIGHT side of my mouth, then gave me a shot of novocaine and said I'll give that a few minutes to work and then we'll get started. He comes back and says "while I'm working if you need me to stop for any reason just raise your hand" and then he decides to give me a little more novocaine on the LEFT side. In my head I'm thinking "Geesh-- you could have numbed it first!" but I survived. Then he put that little tent thingie in my mouth around the tooth he's going to work on, -- on the LEFT SIDE--and he gets his drill --and a little warning goes off in my head and I raise my hand-- he stops, probably thinking, "already?". I look at him and I say "that's the wrong side". He looks at me, looks at the x-rays, and says "oh my God, I had the x-rays backwards!" If I ever need a root canal again you can be sure I'm not going back to him :thumbsup2

Yikes, Jen-n-Greg! Good thing you caught him in time:sad2:

And to all you dads ~ an early Happy Father's Day to you!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Hi everyone it's been a while. School is just about over for DD (can you believe we get out 6/19!). So my PTA responsibilites are done for the year. Which leaves me just working full time. Back to cruise mode: trip insurance buying, excursions planning, and waiting for passports to arrive! I also have to talk DH into renting a tux for formal night. Anyone else plan on wearing a tux? I thought he could also wear it to Palo's.

I'm glad to see some new Cruise-A-Palooza members and some previous members getting back into the spirit!
A Happy, Happy Father's Day to the Dads! We are celebrating all weekend. Cathy

Cathy, my DH is wearing a tux. When you rent the tux they give you 2 shirts which is nice. Especially for the hubby's that are messy eaters. Not mine of course. ;)

"Happy Fathers Day!!!" I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! :goodvibes

Thanks to all for the well wishes for Fathers Day...I'll accept and pass to others.

Can anyone recommend a good spot to watch the shuttle launch from on Saturday the 20th? I was hoping Grills might be a good place, dine alfresco and watch the launch!
http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/launches/launchDetails.asp?calendarId=320

Great question, Bev...I'd love to know if any have done some research on this. Knowing these are 'hit-n-miss'...it's still worth the chance to see one. I have sooooo hoped for an opportunity to see a launch. Any one have some insight or suggestions on this.

Well...excuse me if I'm away for a week and a half. It's time for my annual trek to visit those I work with in Northern California. I am pretty excited to 'drown some worms' near Kirkwood, bring home some great chocolate/sour dough bread and spend a few days in San Francisco. Hoping to chatch a base ball game at AT&T park...only problem is...you start watching the game and get lost in the beautiful view of the bay.

Hope all takes good care...our waiting time is almost over...I CAN'T WAIT!!

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. I hope ya'll have as great a day as I am having.:cool1: Got some great gifts form DW:love: and DGD:love: this morning. Got some great clothes to wear on our cruise. If you see me in a Mickey shirt on the cruise, this is one on my Father's Day gifts.:thumbsup2 They tell me they are taking me out to eat also. I hope we go to Billy Bob's Grease Pit!!!:woohoo: This is where I took DW for Mother's Day. I don't think she enjoyed it as much as did.:confused3 Don't know why, Billy Bob serves up some mighty fine meals. His Mother's Day Special was Leg o' Lamb fried up in pork belly grease. With hash browns and colored greens, also in pork belly grease. He gave you a small bowl of the pork belly grease to dip your Leg o' Lamb in if there wasn't enough of it on your plate. Mighty fine eatn' yess'er mighty fine eatn'!!:cool1:  And the ashes that fell from his cigarette while he was cooking.... why that added a special flavor and texture to the meal. Billy Bob knows how to do it up right!!!! When you come down here look up Billy Bob's Dinr, (that's how it's spelled), for one heck of a good meal.
Well agai HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all you Dads out there!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

We've got our brown envelope. DH is trying to decide what interests him. He is looking at snorkeling somewhere maybe.

Hey all you overachievers... gotta get our trip insurance before we pay off our last installment - did you all just go to insuremytrip.com and find the best deal, or does anyone know of any other secrets that would like to share? I did find some good deals on there, but just want to be sure. Every penny spent frivolously is one not spent on a Drink of the Day on the the ship! :goodvibes

Hope you are all doing well - I feel like I have lost my quality time catching up here. Things have just gotten so busy at work and home, it's hard to fit it all in. Bev - if they ever ask you to be Day Camp Director for Girl Scouts, run the other way as fast as you can!!! DON'T DO IT!! :scared1:

I just finished being recreation director for VBS at our church:scared:. No way am I tackling a camp full of Girl Scouts! :lmao: I don't know any great trip insurance secrets, I am confident I bought the wrong insurance but am hoping I won't need it.

Whats everyones favorite drink on the ship?

I tried to find the link to the trip insurance thread. There was one a while back that had some helpful info. I didn't try via search function yet though.

We've still gotta get our stuff organized, door magnets, shirts--I know there are logos somewhere for our group.

Is there anything planned for group gatherings that I've completely missed?

I'd like to know of any meets too. We tried to set one up for pre-cruise for the kids but schedules wouldn't allow for it.
Heres the logo

I found the link I was thinking about for the trip insurance here.

The logo is in the other place too in good resolution, no? Or, is it the same resolution if I copied and used this one?

Are we doing group t-shirts or anytihng or are we on our own? Seems like the DIS group on this cruise is small.
