October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Hey Everyone,

DW and I have been studying the logos for our cruise.:cool1: We have been having a hard time deciding.:confused3 I'll be honest with ya'll:rolleyes1 No really I can be honest we are leaning towards the first one. The one that looks like a pirate coin with Mickey ears.pirate: But our deciding vote will be darling granddaughter's.:thumbsup2 :yay: How does everyone else feel?

Hi everyone!

Welcome, new Cruisapaloozans! Jen - LOVE both logos and I will go with whatever the consensus is. They are both awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time out to do them!

Guess what?? I was looking at an inexpensive suite (just need it for showering and sleeping!) for the Thursday night before we set sail. Found the Buena Vista Suites which is about 1.5 miles from WDW. When I put in the request for AAA rates, it gave me a price of $5.00 PER NIGHT!! That's right...$5!   And that was the price for all the room types. Had to be a glitch but I went ahead and booked it:cool1: :cool1:

Wow! How interesting. You will have to let us know how that one turns out. popcorn::

Hey everyone, "Happy Friday!" I hope everyone has an absolutely lovely weekend!!! :goodvibes

Jen - both logos look great. I am leaning toward the first one, but will be happy with either! Thanks for your efforts!!

Our roll call for the cruise:

DH - 39
Me - 37
DD - 10

And our friends:

DH - 44?
DW - 40
DD - 9
DS - 5

We can't wait. Have to make a decision on hotels this weekend. (Although I doubt we will get one for $5!!!) Too much to do in too little time, and this weekend will be beautiful, so have to get outside and enjoy it! Have a great weekend, everyone! :hippie:

I can't decide which one I like the most. Both the logos look great!

Our plans have changed. Last night I booked a flight for our family of 4 for around $1200.(Expedia)
I thought that was pretty good.
After projecting the price of gas, hotels, and food I figured we would break about even. It will be nice not to have to drive.

HI. I just rejoined these boards after a couple year absense. My DH, DD 10, and DD8 will be on this cruise. This will be our first! WE are all very excited. I am reading everything I can get my hands on! I have lots & lots of experience at WDW, but this is a whole new experience. Is there already a meeting place set up for the children? Who else has girls?

Thanks!

A lot of girls 8 to 10 are on this cruise! We decided to wear Mardi Gras beads to the port when we embark to identify each other. My DD Anna will be 10 at time of sailing. My other DD is Kate 17. So far I think there may be 2 or three teenagers that have shown up on this trip? Welcome to the group!

BevToy - HI! And Thanks for welcoming us! My dd10 is very shy. I was hoping the girls could all exchange email address so they would feel like they knew one another. What do you think?

This is our story:
My DH is a cop. I work for the ARC & I own my own small travel agency. Our DS is 21 a HUGE WDW fan and a college student. He can not come with us on this trip.

Going on the magical crusie
DH - Scott - 43
Me - Shellie - 45 (can't believe I will be 45!)
DD - Grace - 10
DD - Joy - 8

I will keep my eyes open for Mardi Gras beads!

Wow - I just spent the last 1 1/2 hr reviewing all of this threads pages. Hubby is working late and I put a movie on for the kids so I could have some "me" time on the Disboards.

I noticed that this group seems to have a lot of "boys in blue". My DH is also a police officer and so is the DH of the couple going with us. It should be a very safe trip!

Hyatt Hotwire Help - I've never bid on Hotwire before, but since we get in at 11pm on 11/12th, sounds like a good idea. Does anyone think the 3.5* currently at $89 is the Hyatt? Any tips on how to spot/get the Hyatt?

Hi, WishesFT (and others with DD ages 8-11ish)

All our DD's have started emailing each other to get to know one another before the trip. Feel free to PM me and I will get her name and email on the list! How fun for them and they get to meet new friends all over the country! :grouphug:

Morning Ya'll,

Haven't been on for a couple of days, and I've been reading and getting caught up this morning.:surfweb: My granddaughter will be coming with us on the cruise. Emily will be 8 years old at the time we sail. She has written to Bevs_Toy's daughter, but I know she would like to meet more girls her age.:goodvibes She stays with us on the week-ends, and that's the only time she has access to a computer. So she can only write on the week-ends.
She is very friendly and out going girl and loves to make new friends. And, like most kids her age she is a little shy at first.:cutie: She is very excited about going on the cruise and making new friends.
It will be my
DW - Age 29 (Wink, Wink)
DGD - Age 8 ( At time of cruise - no wink, wink)
Me - Age 30 (wink, wink - going on 12 - this part is true, the age 12 part, just ask DW):lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We added you and Emily to the list David so now you will probably get flooded with e-mails.:thumbsup2 We tend to hit the "reply all" button so no one is left out of the loop.

My family would like to vote for the second logo! We like how it is colorful! The pirate Mickey is cool says DD:thumbsup2 . Cathy

Good afternoon everyone,

We have gorgeous weather here today in KY!!!! My family votes for the second logo. They are both great though.

My husband is a firefighter so he will be happy to know there are the guys "in blue" on the cruise.

I am holding out on arifare still, hoping for a great ding rate from southwest, of course they dont' even have the schedule out for then yet so it will be awhile, going to WDW for a few days before the cruise, we have a little boy who will be one when we sail so we have to make it over to the Magic Kingdom for his first haircut, its a must do!!!!:woohoo:

My DD(7) will be 8 on 12/8. I am assuming that we will not be given an option of going to Oceaneerss Lab where my DS(10) will be. She is one of those that will want to hang out ALL of the time once she makes friends. I'm just looking for backup plan in case we need adult time and she is not on the same page. Anybody have a clue???

Hi All. Ive been trying to reply to pm's but keep getting an error message. We would love to be on the email loop for the girls.

I live very close to the Disney Catalog distribution center. They have a store open a couple days a week. Does anyone have things they want me to look for? Last week I saw adult pirate costumes for $20 and girls princess costumes for $10. I'd be happy to pick up things as I find them if you send me "wish lists". I bought Grace a cute tink bathing suit for $6. It's "hit & miss" but when you hit, it is usually a GREAT bargain.
