October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Happy Sunday evening to all. Hope all made it home safe - or are enjoying some time at the parks before returning.

Our photo sharing site is about complete - YEAH!!! I need a 'test pilot'...anyone...someone out there want to check the shutterfily site out? I'll prob have the first and second persons who PM me 'after this post'...interested and having some time to quickly check out and upload some photos on our group album. I am hopeful for some feedback prior to sending this out to everybody - just to make sure all works out well. I've already created 2 albums (Cruise A Palooza and an album with some of my photos I hope you'll enjoy) and uploaded ~20 photos. If you don't want to be a 'test pilot' but want to pm early...you are welcome to do so - I've already got an e-mail address from CrazyZeus1. I'll keep a running list and do a group invite after we've had someone check everything out.

I see Steve (SNicksed) went to Orient Beach - hopefully he and others who went to this fantastic location will share some photos. I need to share something and hope no one will laugh. I, um...er...well - deleted a full day's images from my lovely DW's new camera. OK...I asked you not to laugh...I mean it...stop it - right now. If you don't stop laughing...I'll tell my DW --- WHO is laughing...then...you'll be in trouble..........instead of me.

Take care, K

Hey my cruise friends,

we are also back at home and spent the day doing laundry and reading the mega pile of mail that was left for us on Saturday. We had an awesome time on the cruise and loved meeting most of you, dis-tag was great, we have some very creative people here. We have downloaded all of our photos and are ready to share some on shutterfly.
My family and I spent some time with Jen and Greg onboard with their two girls and son. Brittney and Owen are missing them already.
We rebooked on board as well for Dec. 2008 but more than likely will switch to fall of 2009 when the dates are released.
I might post a mini trip report in the next couple of days when I get things in order here at home. Dawn

We also made it home safe and sound. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone and playing Dis -tag. Lots of great ideas! Apoohfn and her family were our table mates!!! We ending having to move our room with just two nights left of the cruise. I'm thinking of writing a short trip report. I'm hoping it may provide others with useful information. Thanks to again to Jenn for the Cruise-a-palooza magnet and Steve for the wonderful ship magnet. Bev thanks sending me photos for magnets. I also listened to the CD today - infact I hear it playing now. DH and DD just put in on. Thanks everyone for the magical memories. I have to dance to the CD. Cathy

Why did you have to switch rooms? What a pain!!!

I'm glad to hear everyone made it home safe and sound.:cool1: :thumbsup2 (I know ya'll would rather be back on the Magic and be a sailing, like us!!!)
Hey Bev that was a great idea with the red M&M's,:thumbsup2 I really didn't notice them until just this morning. What a great idea!!!
I'm also glad to hear almost all of us rebooked while on broard. We are trying to setup for our daughter and grandson to join us on the next cruise. There would be six of us going if they can go. We just have to work out a time frame. We also rebooked for Dec. 08 but will probably have to push it back to sometime in 09. DW and DGD and myself are ready to go again next week if we could.:cool1:
Kevin, I would like to sign up for the shutterbug site. Let us know when it is up and running. I did like Kevin and took another vacation day today. Got some errands to run, but mostly wasn't ready to let go on this great vacation.:dance3:

Heather! Yes it was Lilli dressed as Mulan. :) She wore that dress about 3 or 4 times during the trip. :)

To all! We miss the Magic and we miss you too! :) Kevin: Richard really enjoyed talking with you. Thanks for taking the time. :) We're still enjoying (slowly) the goodies that were left for us in our tag bags. :)

I'm back at work today. :( My boss is glad but I'm certainly not. I wasn't quite ready to head back yet. Oh well, life moves on.

Hey Kevin! I'll be sending you a pm shortly asking to join your Shutterfly site. I should have some pictures available to download tonight. I'd rather not be a test driver however as I've never dealt with Shutterfly before. However, if I'm the only one pming you, I'll attempt it. :) Thanks muchos!

You are all wonderful and I enjoyed meeting many of you. :) Talk to you all soon! Take care! Kristi

Hi Cruisapaloozans and welcome home!! It was soooo awesome to meet many of you and Cathy, we enjoyed having you & your family as tablemates!! Garrett asked where your ds was on Saturday night :)

We ran in to BevToy a lot (will post pics) and Kristi and her family. We only met Jen n Greg at the dis meet and then in the elevator on the last day to disembark...and then we rode in the same rental car shuttle (we weren't stalking them although after the GREAT news, which I'll let them share, I wish I did stalk them):lmao: :lmao:

Y'all are a great bunch of people and a special thank you to Cathy & Bev for their distag gift since I did not participate.

Kevin ~ thanks so much for all your hard work and organizing. I have TONS of pics to upload and will get to that eventually.

We had a WONDERFUL time and hope you all are getting back in the grind of every day life. sigh.

:laundy: :laundy:

I meant to type Cathy's DD..not DS!! Sorry!!!

By the way, is anyone STILL experiencing boat-rocking?? I get these feelings like the ground is rocking/moving.:confused3

We finally made it home last night around 10PM. We had a flight delay in Orlando last night.

I am so glad I got to meet so many of you guys. Sherrie, I wish I could have found you.

Glad everyone has gotten home safe. We are currently booked to take a 4 day in Feb. It was the cheapest down payment we could make and keep our on-board booking discount. I think we are going to change it to summer 2009 as soon as they release the dates.

I looked and stared at everyone onboard. I was hoping someone would ask me WHAT I was looking for.. ....

We traveled with another family, and we were the group of 8, speaking LOTS of french....

I was wondering if anyone had the "scoop" on the little dog that was on board with a family. It looked like a Yorkie. It had a service dog 'coat' on, but it sure seemed like the folks at the Port had some MAJOR issues with allowing the dog on board. I suppose legally they had to...but there are some "issues" with a dog who can't set paw on land for 7 days.....

I wake up and swear the room is rocking, and then realize it was a dream.
The first time I thought I was still on the ship when I woke.
Thanks to all for the compliments on the red M & M's we had a blast figuring out what to put on them. My family has a bowl in the living room and are still munching on all the good candies everyone sent.

We also have a seashell night light in our bathroom which fits perfectly with the decor.

It was wonderful to meet everyone and DIS tag was great. I am not sure who gave us the bag with chop sticks and sesame candy but my family loved it! I have the CD from Kevin on my mix stick and my DD ripped it to her PC.

We should have re-booked while on board but with our oldest headed for college next fall I am afraid we will not cruise until 4 years from now when she gets her bachelors degree.

The whole family fell in love with DCL.

I saw that. That family sat next to us on embarkation day...I was just mentioning it to my mother.. I found it odd to say the least.

My family has also been curious about the "service dog". My DH witnessed some not so kind words exchanged between the man and woman. I tried to figure out what "service" the dog provided.

Momasita-we shared a banana boat ride with a family from Canada- husband and wife DD8 and DS9. Was that your family?

Wendy - we thought of your family Saturday night also. We wondered if Garrett was enjoying a Mickey bar?

I'm afraid I missed out on a few goodies The first morning I found three magnets but only one goodie. I enjoyed playing the game and had fun picking out what to share. We are still munching on all the candy!

Hi Everyone - Welcome Home!!

Had to jump in here because I know the answer to this one :-). My cousin met the man and he said it was his wife's service dog. Apparently she has anxiety issues and hearing issues and that's what the dog was for, although everytime we saw the dog is was with the man. Interesting to say the least.

The cruise was wonderful. DD had a few meltdowns (guess it's the pre-teen thing) but other than that things were smooth. There was a table of two couples sitting near us that seemed to get most of the servers attention. We counted 5 times one night that the woman sent her meal back. We didn't let it bother us until the last day when all of the adults at our table had been served and finished breakfast but our 3 year old hadn't even gotten his cereal - the HM table had toast brought around to them 4 times. I finally had to ask again and then DS finally got his breakfast but by that time the restaurant had pretty much cleared out and we knew the next set was coming in so he didn't get to eat. That annoyed me because I knew as much as that woman complained during the trip there was NO way she tipped anywhere near what we did. But I guess the Disney Motto is take care of the unhappy ones because the low maintenance will always come back.

Did anyone brave family karaoke? (not admitting to anything first)

Oh and yep still rocking and rolling. Waiting impatiently for the land legs to return.:cool1:

Hey all. I found the little dog odd as well. And we are still rocking on occasion. Actually, I found it a litle difficult the first night sleeping because I was waiting for the rocking to start. LOL I'm missing the Mickey Bars.

As far as the tag gifts were concerned, my family was the one with all the Asian items in it. We had decided to do an Asian themed bag since our daughter is Asian. I realized once we got our first tag gift that I probably should have put a note in to explain some of the items. Hopefully you all enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed putting them together. :)

Hopefully everyone is getting back into the swing of things. We are trying to. Richard put all our pictures to a slide show with Disney music in the background. We sat and watched it last night. It just brought back memories and I'll probably watch it tons more times before I put it to rest. I'm going to start scrapbooking our trip on Monday night. I wrote a journal while we were onboard that shared everything we did. It took 7 typed pages. It should help with the scrapbook (I hope). :)

Well, everyone have a great day today! Talk to you soon. Kristi

Hello all,
We had a wonderful time on our first Disney Cruise and we are REALLY looking forward to the next one. We are thinking possibly a double dipper in 09' when the dates come out.
I really didn't get to meet many of you as we were traveling with a group of 16 and our time was a bit limited. I did get to meet Tiger Lily and we chatted about the Disney Marathon coming up in January.....anyone else doing it???

We sat behind the dog people at the "remember the magic" show on Friday. It was the later show and it seemed like it was packed. At one point I noticed the women (dog couple) asked the man to fill her water glass for her and then she gave the dog a quick drink out of it followed by downing it herself......my DW is a flight attendant and told me that you can bring a dog on a flight for "support" and you don't need any documentation to prove it.....I was just thinking about where that little guy was doing his buisiness on those long sea days...?:confused3

Hey all...we made it home late Sunday, safe, but not well:sick:  Both Tina and Josh have bad colds, our Asst. server had to have a shot on board to help him get over his cold. It seems he had to share it with both of them. I'm thankful they did not get sick until AFTER we disembarked...We were able to make it to MGM on Sat., but Tina was in bed at 7:00, so no Magic Kingdom that night:mad: The drive home on Sun. was rough, with all the coughing & sneezing and ARE WE THERE YET? OK, OK, enough with whineing!

We also booked on board, we are going Christmas 2008, Now that is a long time away! But it will be worth the wait! Just to see Santa Mickey on Chistmas morning:love: :santa:

I have to share a few pics from our wedding...

Hi all-- we finally made it back late Sunday-- had terrible flight with Trans Air- which reminds me still need to go fill out the comment on the web site. Bad expereince all around with them -- from check-in, to seating (we had 5 seats together, then at the last minute they announce they were doing open seating:eek: -- and we were Zone 6, which meant close to the last to board, and there were not 5 seats together) and much more-- got home 2 1/2 hours later then originally scheduled. Not a happy camper!

Anyway, we met Dawn and her family on the cruise and hung out quite a bit. My kids loved hanging out with her DD and DS and when I get pics uploaded I have a cute pic of the 5 of them together -- my computer was so slow yesterday so I didnt get them all finished yet. And as for my GREAT NEWS that APOOHFN mentioned....

WE WON THE JACKPOT BINGO:cool!!1: :woohoo: :woohoo: :scared1:   :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2:

Greg and I each had a card and I also had a bonus card so I was busy concentrating on my 2 cards and had no idea how Greg was doing. I had 2 squares that only needed 2 more numbers when all of a sudden Greg jumped up and yelled BINGO! I was so shocked and as they were confirming the numbers I was so nervous! Plus, there was another guy who had called Bingo too, but it turned out he had one # wrong.:scared1: So we won $5663:woohoo:

We also booked again for Nov 2008 but will change it to Oct 2009 when those dates come out :thumbsup2

Keith : Beautiful pictures. My DD was worried about your DW and her beautiful wedding gown when it poured at CC. What did you do during the rain? Hope you feel better!

Jen - all I can say is WOW and congratulations!! Many wonderful surprises all the around for your family. Way cool. :yay:
DD enjoyed playing cards with your kids at the terminal. It was nice also running into them here and there.

Strange question: anyone else have itching red bumps?. I have them on my neck and arms. DH has them on his arms. Nothing on DD. Could it be sea lice?
