October 13, 2011 3-Night Bahamian Cruise on the Dream!

What no fast pass for Aquaduck? :rotfl2:

I was wondering about a meet up as well. I know the group is still kind of small so a scavenger hunt could work. That's always fun. :thumbsup2

LMAO. That would ROCK if they finally came up with something like that! Maybe open at 9am instead of 11 each day and only people on certain decks could go durning that time and then the rest is open. I don't think in Oct we are going to have a problem but it still might be a cool idea....

I had posted about one earlier but no one really said anything so I thought maybe if it was more then just a meet then maybe more people might get involved. I can work on the hunt clues and see what I can come up with

Under MandiB, can you please correct my son's name it's Bryce, thanks!!

oh yes, very worth it according to my friends. 2 groups of them have done the cabanas and then split the cost.

Has anyone been able to book their shore excursions ? I know those that are Castaway Club members should be able to and the bottom tier can book July 15th as long as your cruise is paid in full

Just reserved a cabana at Castaway Cay. Expensive, but I am hoping it is worth it!

Same here! Concierge told me to book it since they go like hot cakes and that I could cancel if I changed my mind up to 3 days prior to sailing at no charge. We are still debating the whole is the cabana worth the price here also. :confused3 The positives that I see: the private, beach front area & I will *actually* get to relax on a hammock (several cruises and never actually got one before!). With the construction of the beach cabanas it looks like the family beach expansion got eaten up by this project along yet they added a lot of people on the new ship. That has me a little concerned as it never felt crowded to us before. I was always able to find a shady spot because most people are sun worshippers. ;) The pictures I've seen and wow - the family beach looks much busier. Otherwise, we've never had any issues with getting our bike rentals or waiting for lunch. We typically have our own water to start our beach day and just replenish on the island. I'm a sunscreen-o-holic. It's nice they include it, but I always have a stash in my bag. So I'm paying $$$$ for a little less crowded beach area, being able to relax in a hammock and not having to lug a bottle of water for everyone in our bag. Wondering if those items alone are worth the cost. :confused3

MoDisney - Most definitely you should be able to book at the 90 day mark for repeat cruiser if paid in full. I've never had an issue with the system. :thumbsup2

Sadly, Zac will not be joining us after all. :sad1:

How could the planners of MLG Orlando not respect our first family cruise?!?! :confused3

Oh well... next year he'll be 21 instead of in that in-between-not-much-offered-age!

The rest of us are very excited that we are down to double digits in our countdown!

WOO HOO!! I just booked my excurtions and I'm SO excited!! WOO HOO BABY!! I was able to get the Dolphin Encounter for my mom and I and my dad is going to observe. Then on Castaway cay my mom and I are going to do the Cabana massages on Serenity Bay and then we all 3 are going nthat afternoon on a glass bottom boat ride . I'm so excited...

So has everyone that has been able get what they were wanting? How about dinning reservations? I'm so excited I just can't hid it.. 89 more days!

Congrats on getting what you want. We are not planning to do much for excursions, more of a relax, lay around type of trip. Very unusual for me. :rotfl: Right now I am on the fence about squeezing in MNSSHP. We loved it when we did it in 2008 and it would let us have a night at MK. I don't know.... Maybe if a decent room discount code is released we could spend the night and do the party.

Mary and I are going to try the wave runners while we are at Castaway Cay. It's kind of expensive to get two, but we are both experienced motorcyclists and neither of us was willing to sit on the back - just like on our bikes!

I was a little surprised to see availability for dinner at Palo and Remy. I think I'd like to see the "regular" restaurants this cruise. I'm especially interested in seeing the Artists Palate and the upgrades from the Wonder/Magic.

I noticed that too.. There were alot of time slots left but I'm guessing that since it is a new ship that people are wanting to try out the restaurants that is why I didnt' want to book. I have looked at the menus and they all sound so good! Also Palo's is on every ship where as Remy's isn't so more people are going to pay that extra to do something that is special to that ship! I know that I was thinking about it for awhile myself. I've been to Palo's on the wonder and WAS NOT impressed and thought that it was trully a waste of money

Wow! How cool is that! I'm bringing family too. I have finally convinced my parents to cruise and I'm also bringing a friend who, for years, has put up with my Disney addiction. I know they all are going to love it!

I'm saddened to say but my friend Dawn and her husband are no long able to come on the cruise :( So please take them off of the FE list. thanks
