Just watched that video.... yep I'd be sick. Can you imagine standing in the kitchen with all the dishes, glasses, bottles and knives... No thanks!

Renovations, Kristin, Michelle and I live for them. I totally get what your saying. We have a pool as well and people are constantly walking through the house dripping wet. Sounds like a good plan you have. We did our master bath last fall and next I think were going to do a whole new kitchen, (Michelle would like to make it bigger with an addition), that will be interesting.

Hope everyone is enjoying there days off between Christmas and NewYears. Great time to read up on some postings.

I almost forgot, Welcome new cruisers!
Alex

How did you do your master bath?? We will be doing ours to extending it out above the Four Seasons Room.......

Kristin

Well, it was quite the project... The house we are presently is a ranch style bungalow built in the early 70's and then reno'd in the 80's. The bath was all white shiney ceramic tile floor to ceiling, with grey tub, toilet, sink. Trust me it was brutal.
We wanted to be a bit of an oasis, so, we made it a bit bigger by just moving some walls. Gutted right to the studs and started from scratched.
We had a 6ft 2 person soaker jacuzzi tub installed with jets, cromotherapy (light therapy), and a heater that keeps the water at 102 all the time.
Heat floors, highly recommend them. Controlled audio system in the ceiling so you can listen to any type of music you want, and a flat screen tv on the wall. It turned out beautiful. Except people go in and take a long time before they come out.
It took about 5 weeks to complete, but worth it. The heated floor thing, we plan to put it in the kitchen, front entrace and basement bath eventually. Its not expensive and I promise you, you'll luv it. Especially on those cold mornings.
There's always something to do around the house. So we figure we'll just go do one room at a time. And of course, we never let it interfere with our holidays.
Hope you're all gearing up for New Years. Were off to a fondue party. How fun is that!

cheers

Alex - Just as I have got some time to myself to check in on the DIS, my laptops wireless modem kicked the bucket last night, so I have to send it in for repair on Wednesday.

The radiant flooring is just what we were going to install in the bathroom and the four seasons room. Glad to hear that you like it and recommend it so very much...

Sound like your bathroom is much how ours is going to be. When we built the house seven years ago the master bath was something we said we would always change.....So that said we are going to have the same type of jacuzzi that you have.. I have a feeling I will never want to leave the bathroom...It is going to be HUGE bathroom!!!!!!!!

Be ready for me to complain about the mess in my house while construction is going on..........But I am sure once it is done it will be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hopefully, the ground will thaw soon and they can begin digging the foundation asap.......

Fondue sounds nice. Have Fun.......

GOOD MORNING ALL and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! As I was waking this morning, I was thinking, WOW, 2008!! Where is the time going! Then it dawned on me that our oldest, Colton, will graduate in 2013...that's just 5 years! Oh my. I have so much to do with him! LOL Like teaching him to do wash and cook and budget money! On one hand 5 years seems like so long and on the other, it will fly right past us!
