Thanks. We had a "tacky magnet" contest, but I bought nice magnets from everywhere we went on the western. I am particularly fond of my "Key West - End A1A" magnet. I pm'd Kristin that I have a couple of other ideas concerning door magnets. I will have some time to make a couple of prototypes after Christmas. Gotta make a grocery store run so we will have something for dinner after church on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve will be our 13th anniversary. She made sure I could never forget that day!!

Tacky magnet contest sounds funny, thanks Allen for the info. on getting magnetic paper. I know my dh will want our Toronto Maple Leafs magnet on there.

I'm not sure how much I'll be around, but I'll pitch in where I can!

We saw National Treasure 2 last night, it was really good. Now I am dragging dh to Sweeney Todd on the 26th, he's gonna hate it! Also saw I am Legend today with DS since he missed it. Good lord, I am broke right now, but it seems I have been living at the movie theater lately LOL.

I can't wait to see National Treasure 2, I'm glad to hear that it was good. How was I am Legend, it looks good too.

Hello again, all! Trying to get the Christmas mood going this year and I think I am on my way! Much thanks for all your kinds words in response to DH's post (fireman17) earlier this past week

Went over to the new house last night and, hard to believe, was happy to see a fully gutted-down to studs bathroom and halfway gutted kitchen/dining room! My contractor busted "you-know-what" in three days time! I thought the move back to my Dad's house would be so tough emotionally, but I actually began to get excited after seeing the preliminary stages of what our "new" home will eventually look like

Today, I spent a good time with my Dad and my three youngest kids at the Holiday Party at the nursing home. (DH on duty ) Dad was happy to see us all and continues to enjoy the kids. So, I think I will get through seeing him on Christmas Day there as well for dinner with all of us (DH and all four kids).

Then, my DS17 shared some awesome news with me today that has made me such a proud Mom! He has been accepted to the Nursing Program at the University of Connecticut for next fall! So happy for him, as this university was his first choice and he will be only about an hour away from home...I always knew he would go off to college after high school, but now I have some time to absorb the reality of my first baby being in college now that I know where he will be going!

So, all in all, even though the wrapping and misc. shopping is still pending for tomorrow, I think I will get through the holiday just fine, now that I have caught up on my rest from the Hannah Montana concert this past Wednesday. I was not up that late, however, I think ALL that screaming and rushing around really took a toll... I never knew little girls could screech for SOOOOOO long!

P.S. Made some serious damage at our Disney Store yesterday with Buy One Get One Free sale! (Even had the kids along and still managed to hide the goods from them! )

Glad to see you are posting, you sure do have alot going on in your world. Congats to your ds, that is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! I would love to see pics too. I'm glad to hear that your dad like to see the kids, children bring joy!!

wow alot going on around here LOL been really busy with christmas stuff and now I'm all ready to go! We are leaving (flying) tomorrow to visit my parents for Christmas and the boys are so excited. I will be bringing my laptop with me so I will try to pop in every now and then.

Gina, love the pictures you posted! also, you can find magnetic paper at Michael's craft store or even walmart has them too for cheaper.

Hey Kristin, sorry I missed you but thanks for my congrats. You guys did great getting to 1900, we can totally get to 2000 before Christmas. It is raining here today, washing away all the snow, not sure if we will have a white christmas this year.

Hey, just wanted to add to the postings here. Wanted to share my day at the office this past November. We were assigned on the third alarm as the first due squirt. We set up on the side of the house and stayed there flowing water for over five hours boy, was I glad to get back into quarters later that day.
In the pictures I'm the one on the back of the engine waiting for the water to my engine.

Thanks to a few of your reviews, we decided to go ahead and purchase Hanna Montana tickets for our daughter Jenna's 8th birthday. We tried last Sunday when the tickets went on sale, but weren't able to get any.

Jenna is already having a Hanna Montana birthday party, so this will be the icing on the cake. Her birthday is January 9th and the concert is the 22nd.

Won't disclose the ridiculous price we paid for the tickets, but the look on both Jenna and Kayla's face will be priceless.

I have just a few more pkgs to wrap. This evening I will start getting everything together that I need to organize for my road trip. We love on the 26th. I have so many presents to bring it is not even funny ,plus our clothing dd and ds have to fit somewhere.

I drive a Prius (before this I had a Pacifica and before that a van) I am not sure everything will fit. LOL I already ,mailed two pkgs.

I have my menu nailed down and will finish up tomorrow.

This is a HSM cake that I made for an order. I got the idea from a thread on the DIS. The little girl loved it. Thought I would share. The paper, eraser and rular are fondant, the rest is buttercream icing. The image is just laminated.

Not sure if anyone knows about this but just in case. Every year we go to a website called NORAD tracks Santa www.noradsanta.org It is awesome as it is "live" and tracks Santa as he travels around the world and shows "live" video feed and photos of him at different stops along the way. the kids love it as it says for them to go to sleep as it approaches Canada (or whereever you are). Check it out. My dh is an Air Traffic Controller and is working Christmas Eve night so the kids are so excited because Daddy gets to talk to Santa on the radar. He will call them and tell them to go to bed because Santa is close. It is priceless.
