I love your snowman on your signature. How did you get it on there? I collect snowmen, they are my weakness and he is soooo cute.

OOH we can not wait to see ENCHANTED TOOO!!!

When does it comeout??This week..??

I hate winter too. Today is cold cold cold here. I feel terrible my chest is killing me (for those of you who do not know I have had a collapased lung five times) so the cold really bothers me........

I just heard the weather that they are tracking a snowstorm for here..UGH!!!

Anyone ever heard of sharedreviews???

Ever thought about moving south where you don't need to deal with the cold and snow. My dad and sister are in Arizona and once I can retire that may be where I will end up. They are also messing with my job so it could be as early as 2010 or as late as 2020. It is in Gods hands now.

Hello everyone..
Just looking around here. We are thinking of going on this cruise
....

We would love to add you to this group. Let us know if you opt to book and I am sure there is a list you can be added to.

Lots of fun planning going on and there should be opportunity to meet and greet each other while on board. I am haveing trouble keeping apart which DIS group is doing what at this moment as we have 21 day booked on the magic. This cruise will be the last 7.

Lois

Grandma4ever: I would move South in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, my DH can't find a job anywhere but here in cold snowy Pittsburgh so I'm stuck here for a while. I already told DH when he retires , we are outta here.

Dis Meet We should plan a couple Dis meets, if we can. On our last cruise, a meet was planned for 3pm of boarding day. Well the kids were so excited about cruising, they wanted to explore the ship after swimming and seeing our stateroom. I never made it to the meet , therefore never met any of the Dis'ers I talked to for months on this board.

Maybe have 1 the day of boarding and 1 the next day. Just incase some of us can't make it to one of them. What do you guys think?

i prefer to do the one on the first day then a lunch on the first day at sea. For this cruise that would be sunday. Anyone else want to have a lunch meet at the set down resturant that is open? Lois

How long are the lunches at the sit down restaurant? Is is as long as dinner? I just worry because my DD will be 5 and DS 10, they will never sit through 2, two hour meals in one day.

Lunches are not as long as dinner but you have the option of the kids eating with the kids club and it being an adult lunch for those who do not feel their kids would do well. The club will take the kids to lunch arounf 11:30 AM. My DGkids loved to eat with the club.

That is not to say that kids would not be welcomed. But if as a family you wanted to eat without the kids the club is an option.

I am a firm believer that we must teach our children how to act in public and unless we take them in public they can not practice and thus do not learn.

Just awaiting the day we can go south today it is sooooo very cold.. UGH!!!!!!!!

THe Dismeet sounds great. THe idea of two is good toooo.....

Welcome Lady Poohbear!! We hope you will finalize your plans and join us!!

Of the 2 cruises we have done, the first one we met in the lounge at about 3. Not many people showed up for that. For the second cruise, we all sort of meet in the terminal (we had on matching shirts and had seen photos of each other, so it was easy to pick out people) then there was an impromto gathering at the pool, then we ALL met up on Deck 10 over looking the pools for the sail away party. There, we exchanged gifts that we brought and just had a good time. (of course, if we plan to do Fish Extenders, then we would not exchange gifts here) Some had linked dinner ressies, some of us didn't. It is so nice to be able to join people while at the pool, in the shows or "night clubs". We had a newly wed couple with us and we cheered them on for the DCL version of Newly Wed Game. That was a HOOT!! I think the second cruise was a lot more fun because we really got to know everyone! Also, we had a photographer in the group. He has us all to meet on Deck 7 one afternoon, with our shirts on, and he took a group shot of us!
I am all for meeting once, twice or everyday!

The boys are off of school for the entire week and I seem to have an ever growing list of things I need to get done this week! I will be going back to work the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Not sure if she is going back to work full time or part time, so I am trying to get as much stuff done this week as I can!

If I don't get back on...although, I will try!....Have a WONDERful, MAGICal, and safe Thanksgiving Holiday!

No No not the snowblower. Gosh I hate winter too.

The Pacifier is a really cute movie. Its a little touchy at the begining, they don't actually show it, but a person gets shot. its part of the story actually. But after that its really cute and funny.

I may not be the best mom to ask, my 4 yo DD, but then 3 yo, has seen all the POTC movies. :rolleyes1

FYI, my neighbor went to a sneak preview of Enchanted last night and she said it was Great!!

I was invited to a preview of Enchanted last week and is really was a great movie....I think everyone will love it....very nicely done with some great song and dance numbers.

I just walked in the door from a weekend in Boston with some friends....we all had a great time....at at the "Cheers" bar before our drive home....did all the touristy things and the weather was just magnificent!!!

Hope all had a good weekend....back to work tomorrow then 30 people at our house for Thanksgiving (and I am working Wed, too)!!

Anyone see the pictures of the Castle???

How Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parrothead Pirates Cruise List #2 is on the way. Let me know of any changes, additions or corrections.
I'm all for a meet after boarding before or after the drill. There are several people staying at WDW a day or two before and we might be able to set up a meet there at some point.

This is great! I will actually be in DL and DCA on June 2,3 and 4, so I should miss them all together. I didn't even think about Univeral. We will be there on the 12th. We could change it to the 13th if we need to, but I think Thursday should be less crowded than Friday.

Let me ask you another question. We will be moving from San Diego to LA on the 11th. We will have that evening and one full day to fill there. Any recommendations for a mother and 10 year old daughter. DD wants to do a tour of some type to see all the sites. Can you recommend a good one that is more than just seeing rich people's houses? ( I have no desire to see how much better they all live than the rest of us.) I'd like to see historical places or maybe tour a studio or something. DD wants a picture of the famous HOLLYWOOD sign.

The Hollywood sign is not very far from Universal Studios. What do you like? There are other studios close by. Including Disney Studios & Warner Bros Studios, I'm not sure if they have tours.
There is also the Griffith Observatory. It's located in the hills that seperate Hollywood and the valley we live in. Here is the website.

http://www.griffithobservatory.org/

There is the Hollywood walk of fame. Groemins Chinese Theatre (sp?).

If you want to do another theme park there is Six Flags Magic Mountain. They have some pretty intense rollercoasters.

I'll try to think of other things to do, I know there's more, I just can't think of any right now.

Wow, those castle pictures are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Is it like that all the time now through the holidays??? I've been for the holidays twice, and the castle has never been decorated pretty like that.
