OK, I'm calm now LOL. It's not sticking and it's going to be in the 50's this weekend, I just never like the first sight of snow, yuck.

I must admit I am NOT looking forward to the white stuff. It is beatuful if all you need to do is look at it but I HATE driving in the stuff. Hopping for a dry winter and very wet spring.

Hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to any new cruisers I might have missed.

Also the issue of the list and e-mail just isn't that big. I did see the giving of e-mails almost close down a thread due to the fact that a person used the list to spead SPAM and it created such anger that the Moderater threatened to shut it down if the group did not stop arguing on line. I was never spammed but it taught me a very good lesson. What each person does is their own choice but for me today I don't want to give mine out to everyone. Just isn't a big deal. Lois

Lois, I understand your dilema about the email address. I am hoping, and sort of assuming, that this group would be gracious enough to not forward every email they get that might indicate that if they didn't forward it something bad was going to happen! I hope that it will be used for the sole purpose of information pertaining to this cruise. I don't mind the occasional, "We haven't heard from you or Did Colton get better email", but, as most of us, I have a lot going on in my life and don't need to be weighted down with miscellanous email fodder. I hope everyone understands!

A day of cleaning is in store for me! How DOES a house get so dirty?!?! ENJOY your weekend!

I have the 1st edition of the list ready and the address book started. Aol went bonkers while I was building the address book and I wound up having to uninstall and reinstall aol.. ..I was a version behind anyway. A few things about "the list". I made a few changes since Kristin saw it. The flags at the top represent the countries we are from and the countries we will visit. There is room for more flags if pirates from other countries join us! If I have missed one, let me know.

I just sent you a PM with our information. Actually, two PMs b/c I saw that I mis-typed the stateroom number.

We purchased our flights about a week ago. We are flying in late Thursday evening. We have not yet decided whether we will stay in the MCO area that night or just head out to the port area. Either way, we have all day Friday to goof around. If we stay in the MCO area, I have thought about heading over to Downtown Disney before making our way to the coast. Once out on the coast, we will stay at the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn. We had a blast hanging out at the beach there a couple of weeks ago before our Wonder cruise.

Has anyone else bought airline tickets yet? Where are others planning to stay prior to the cruise?

We purchased our flights about a week ago. We are flying in late Thursday evening. We have not yet decided whether we will stay in the MCO area that night or just head out to the port area. Either way, we have all day Friday to goof around. If we stay in the MCO area, I have thought about heading over to Downtown Disney before making our way to the coast. PiperG-What airlines are you flying? What kind of fare did you get? I suppose it's wise to start looking.We are flying down on Friday and will be staying at the Residence Inn. Did that this year and it worked out great!

I got that same rate on NWA, we are flying in late Friday, they had a direct flight 6:52 takeoff, arrive 10:59m and flying home Sunday morning at 11. I was suprised that NWA had anything decent, and they are the only ones who fly nonstop evening flights out of MSP. I have noticed the current fare is $110 higher than what I paid last weekend.

Minniesota keep watching NWA, they literally change their prices several times a day. No one else has the schedules out yet that far. And if you go NWA play around with the return time, 2 hours can make $100 per person difference.

PiperG does the Osseo district have the Friday before MEA off also? Man I wish we did up in the Elk River district, then we wouldn't have to leave so darn late. Of course our schedule for next year won't be posted until probably April, but we have never had that day off before.

I am so happy Allegiant Air has started to fly out of Huntington! We will be able to fly for $60 one way, or $120 round trip or $480 for all of us! They fly through Sanford instead of Orlando, we'll get a car, but we would have anyway and they fly on Thursday and Sunday. That will give us a park day on either end of the cruise. Connor said he would rather do USO on the return since he wasn't tall enough to ride the major rides when we were there last.

PiperG does the Osseo district have the Friday before MEA off also? Man I wish we did up in the Elk River district, then we wouldn't have to leave so darn late. Of course our schedule for next year won't be posted until probably April, but we have never had that day off before.

DH saw my post and told me that Osseo is the only district he knows of that has that Friday off. It is a conference release day for us. I assumed all districts had that day off, so now I know how lucky we are!

Very emotional day. First friend of ours to loose a parents my kids are even taking it hard....


We just made our DVC ressie for before the cruise we are coming down on WED. staying at SSR and then heading home after the cruise on Sat. we have no school the friday before or monday due to columbus day so the kids will miss isx days unless I can get a late flight on Wed. afternoon. Maybe we should stay Sat. night after the cruise too. Have not even looked for air yet but first I need to book my trip for the summer tooo...

I have not checked for any airfare yet either. However, we have decided to stay at SSR the Thur and Fri before the cruise, as well as the Sat after the cruise. We will travel home on Sunday. The kids will be missing only 5 1/2 days of school. So, we thought, why not extend the trip some? This will be our first stay at our DVC home resort and we will need a 2 BR for the first time, since we will be 2 adults, and 4 kiddos on that trip. Pretty nice for our newborn's first trip to Disney...A 7 night cruise and DVC accommodations at SSR as well!

Kristin...Would you have any room location recommendations for SSR? I had to wait to call back tomorrow to confirm the complete reservation and they said they had plenty of availability...Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

I have a daughter and son who will both be in high school in Oct. so it gets more difficult pulling them out more than a day or two. I'll keep watching those NWA fares. When does Sun Country release their flights? How about AirTran?

Yeah, we've discusses how much I hate your school district!!!!! I so wish my district would be cool, but they are so stupid and there is no rhyme or reason. You cannot predict what days will be off from year to year as they just move them around every year.

For this years MEA(2007) AirTran released fares in early February. Sun Country did not release them until May! No ryhme or reason there either the year before they released them in late March and the year before that February.

PiperG, I used to be in the Osseo district, but we didn't take MEA trips then, so I guess I never paid attention. I'm very curious to see what Elk River does next year as they usually have our conference release day on Columbus Day, which is the Monday the week prior to MEA, but next year it is MEA week.
