Hi everyone!!!

Well, I am back from across the Pond.....London was better than I could have imagined!! Such a beautiful city!!! Weather was fantastic....65-70 each day and sunny....I actually came back with a slight tan due to all the outdoor walking we did!! Back home the family said it was miserable weather. We flew in the night before the storm and on Sunday thought I should start building an ark!!!

Hope everyone did not have too much flooding.

Oh...and those shirts came out great!! Really nice work.

I just booked my parents on the cruise and I am still trying to get my FIL to book as well.

Ok...off to the movies with my mom.....talk to you all later!!!

WELCOME HOME MJ!!!!

We have been so busy today! Connor filmed a commercial today for the Tri-State Race Track and Gaming Center! As Connor said when I asked him if he wanted to do it, "but Mom, I don't gamble!" LOL It seems that the Track donates A LOT of money back to the community. One of the recipiants is the Boy Scouts. Since Connor is in scouts and since the neighbor across the street is an excutive with the advertising agency, Connor gets a starring roll! There were 2 other boys...twins that look nothing alike...in the commercial as well. None of them had speaking rolls, they, as Connor said, "Just had to stand there and look pretty" LOL Unfortunatly, it was drizzly and a bit dark, but we did it! We went to Kanawha State Forest and found a creek to tape by. Then they took some still photos that they might be able to use too. It was fun and the boys had a good time! Heck, they were outside and near a creek, what boy WOULDN'T have a good time? LOL

haven't had time to make my other shirt yet. Been crazy busy around here! Cut grass again last night...looks like I'll be on the every 5 days schedule for a while.

Off to clean up the kitchen and head to bed!! By the end of the week, I am beat!! Have a great night!

Oh the grass. I dread that when we are on the five day schedule here.. My Dh is compulsive with the grass-plus we have almost two acres of land with only four small trees on it so it takes him a few hours on the John Deere to mow..LOL!!!

Anyway, to keep things fair, do you think it would be Okay for Colton to celebrate his one day...even though it was in February?? Or is that too far away? Is there any "rules" to the Birthday Celebration? It's not like we are out for any freebies....we're on the dining plan so free and really doesn't mean anything, but it would just be nice for the boys to be recognized and to fussed over..yanno what I mean? thanks for any advice!!

oh my DH is a Huge star wars fan too.. What about getting a cake. I know you can get the buttons for free that say Happy Birthday if they will wear them and then CM's will wish them happy Birthday all day long....

Kritter, Are ya getting spring fever?
Your not alone, I'm trying to talk DH into a weekend at the beach.

I found out recently that in Oct 2007 we will only get 2 days for fall break.(not even Columbus Day week as it has been in the past)
We decided to let the boys miss 2 days of school and go ahead with WDW plans for that week.
I'm reallY concerned about 2008 I've heard we could even loose the 2 days(2008) The oldest DS will be in the 10th grade and should not miss a whole week. Its really hard to find a time when everyones out of school, the rates are not to high, and we can drive to PC.
I wish the Magic would stay in the Carribean for a summer! Guess I'm through venting!

I totally have spring fever!! I have sunburn on my arms from this weekend.. My husband sholved ten yards of mulch and redid our walk way and edeged out our whole front yard... He is beat. But I love the weather...

Don't worry about the school schedule I am sure it will work out.. Can he get the work ahead of time and do some of it then. The summer is expensive to go to..I think vacation memories are more important sometimes... than school just think of how much he will be learning at all of the different ports...

Hi everyone, just checking in I ordered my passporter this weekend and I can't wait to get it. It should take less than a week to get here hopefully.
We had a great weekend, it was so nice and hot, my boys wore shorts outside for the first time this year. My 2 year old also went out to play then he turns around and looks at the BBQ and asks "what's this mommy?" and I say it's a BBQ. He's just looking at it then turns to me and says "no mommy, it's a toaster". It was so cute the way he said it all seriously.
I love those moments!

It was warm here too. Today it was over 80 beautiful about time.. But they are saying rain for the weekend...So that is not good...

That is soo very cute what your 2 year old said. Those are the type of things that you need to write down so some day you can look back and laugh...

We too, have had beautiful weather! Saturday night I straightend up the garage. We seem to bring in and dump, now it's a bit better looking...even if all the junk is still there! The neighborhood has a yard sale the first Saturday of May every year, I am just not sure if I have time to get my junk in order. We'll see....

As for pulling the kids out of school....well, sometimes you just have to do what's best for the kids. I say, pull 'em! We have done it in '04 right before Christmas, and in '06 for Cruisetoberfest and now we'll do it in '08 as well. Needless to say, I might be going to jail this year though! Seems the boys have already missed too many days and we haven't even hit the end of the school year where we are pulling them for a few more! Also, they added two days to the end of the year to make up snow days! OY!! The part that gets me....my boys have ALWAYS made up all the work, get good grades, are NEVER in trouble or cause trouble, are decent upstanding citizens, but yet when I want to take them out for vacation, we're are looked down upon. What's a mom to do?

rain showers moving in...but they are of the light and annoying type. Maybe thunderstorms for Thursday. It's like summer weather now! Scattered, heat of the day, storms, highs in the 80s! Maybe I'll use that outside Toaster tonight!

You know I hear you what are we to do about the school thing.. I am all for pulling them out.. I was a teacher before the kids... Why well I do understand why the school needs to make it an issue but to look down on parents for it.. Heck, families and memories are way more important in life. I feel that life can change in an instant and why not spend family time when you can all together...??? I think life is way to short and we should be allowed to vacation when we need to.. Not all families can afford or want to go when school vaction is.. Truthfully our breaks are fed. and april two of my husbands busiest times of year... We can not travel then...

Showers moving in here. Outside with the kids again...Sorry for the rant but it drives me crazy that parents can not be trusted by the schools to make the decissions that are best for their families....
