Actually what we are doing is kind of like how mummies were preserved... it is currently hanging out in a large bag of rock salt! We will change out the salt every few days as it dehydrates, and then once it is REALLY done (6-8 weeks!) then we can varnish it. LOL... it wont look all pretty like those fish you see that come from a taxidermist, but it also wont cost us $10 per INCH either!
Kaj mummified a cornish game hen a year or two ago when we were studying ancient Egypt, so we figured we could use the same technique with the fish. LOL!
