Last night we went to the Grove in Hollywood to see a free screening of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2!!!! I thought it was really good......if you liked the first one, you will definately like this one too!!!!! I loved the first one!!!

Was there anything in it my 12 year old can't see?? The first one there was something implied, but not shown and she didn't catch it back then.

Hello Everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX!!! Sorry I am a bit late!!! I hope you thoroughly enjoyed your party!!! WTG Michelle!!

Shauna, I feel for your Dad. My Dad has been out of work since January. He started his own business just about a month ago. He is now the Village Handyman. I hope your Dad finds something soon. Also, we made breakfast ressies at Kona Cafe for Saturday before the cruise. I think we have breakfast at 8, so we'll be up early too! I have always wanted to try the Tonga Toast, after reading so much about it, so now we will!!

Candy, Randy, Nancy and Denis, have GREAT trips!!

Maureen, I have a carpet cleaner that has an adaptor to scrub stairs and furniture. Do you have a friend that might have one or can you rent one? There is also some kind of spray you can use...Woolite or Resolve I think? I too, am guilty of cleaning house before I leave. I hate to come home to a dirty house. I have enough to do when I get back. I am thinking about asking the lady that cleans across the street if she would be interested in doing mine while we are on the cruise. Then it will be clean when we get back and clean for the holidays!

Heidi, GOOD LUCK to Kaj and Sean!!!!! If you can, take photos!!!!

I guess I better buy our park tickets tonight! $10 a head is A LOT!

I know I am forgetting something.......

OH! We have moved up in the electronic age! All of us have our own Cell Phones now...the boys were sharing one...AND we have text messaging now! LOL We have never had it before!

There is a scene where one of the girls sleeps with a guy. No body parts were shown, but you definately know what happens!!!!!
And then the subject of pregnancy comes up a couple of times. Other than that, I think it's okay!!

Candy and Nancy,,

HAVE FUN Trips,, if I do not talk to you..Going out with my Aunt and Cousin and mom for dinner and drinks down by the river!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are back from our shopping at Target :thumbsup2

TARGET ROCKS
Thank ever so much for supporting my vacation and my paycheck by shopping at Target.
We now return you to your regular cruise thread
Anything to help :rotfl2:

Yea I personally dont think that they should raise the prices considering the state that most people are in right now due to the economy but thats just my personal opinion:rolleyes1 Yea my dad was saying that he would love to do odd jobs or like a handyman and such until after the cruise but who knows--hopefully he will find something :confused3 I will keep you all updated on his work progress ;)

To everyone who is leaving tomorrow or this weekend for their trips: Be careful and have fun:woohoo:

Oh I guess I should clean my house before heading to Vegas in about two weeks as well :rolleyes1 Not that I am going to but I should..:lmao: No most likely I will clean before we leave...but Im not thinking about that now :rotfl2:

freaked out Rally cause he was watching What Not To Wear on TLC when it blinked off. So of course he took flight from his cage and landed on top of the vertical blinds that sit behind it. zcourse he thinks its my fault
Hey Maureen...what kind of bird is Rally? I have never been too attached to birds but my friend had two parrots and there was one that had been so abused and hurt in his life before she acquired him, that he wouldn't let anyone touch him, his name was Tutti, he was a quaker parrot and the poor thing was missing one wing and had a messed up beak. He was terrified of gloves and paper bags ( poor thing, God only knows what happened to him in his life) But MIL would always watch the two birds when the friend would go away, and I would always come over and feed them treats and talk to them (sit by the cage) and one day I walked over to him and he acted like he was going to bite me but shook his head NO...I realized that he had grown to like me and trust me, He NEVER would bite me, I would open his cage door up and sit by him and he would come and sit on the edge of the door to be as close as possible to me and We would share Cashews (his favorite)...I would pet his beak and clean his cage, as he wouldnt let anyone else near him. And he hated my hubby and would throw a huge fit if DH came near me or on the same room. I wanted to take him so bad but I wasnt too sure of how to properly care for birds...then sadly I found out that he died not to long after his owner Got back and took him home. Now his owner had him for some time before I ever met either of them, and who knows how old he was before she got him. But I did love that bird...I miss him so much. :sad1: Anyhoo sorry to go off on my own like that but just curious as to what kind of bird Rally is popcorn::

CRUISE QUESTION!!!!

Ok, sort of!

Our TA told me that the MAGIC had a large # of people with NORWALK on the cruise last week... one of her clients told her about it and is truly bummed out because of being quarantined 5 out of the 7 days.

Anyone out there heard anything about this? Also, she was TOLD (by the same client) that there were rumors around that the magic had to go into drydock last year for a while because of Norwalk... again, just wondering if anyone knows about this.

Thanks much!

I would think if the Magic had been delayed or docked because of Norwalk, we would have heard about it. By the regulations of the CDC, only 2% of passengers showing signs triggers the "hands off" health regs on a ship. We went through it on the cruise we went on in March. I have never heard of a ship going into dry dock because of Norwalk. I have heard of cruises that are a day or 2 late leaving because of cleaning, but never dry docked...:confused3

Hello everyone! I just can't keep up with you guys. I didn't get to sign on yesterday at all. Work! Work! Work! That's what I get for starting the week off lazy. Now I get to play catch up the rest of the week. I went back and caught up on everyone's posts.

We are driving to Florida instead of flying. We are coming down the Wednesday before the cruise. We will spend Thursday at the beach and Friday we are going to Kennedy Space Center. We are watching the launch of Atlas 5 Friday evening. Merkie will be missing four days of school for the cruise and the Board of Education has agreed to excuse the days as Educational Enhancement if we do this. Anyway, I guess you can say that we are having a little precruise vacation of sorts.

To everyone leaving on vacations now, have fun and stay safe. I'm so jealous!

Well, I don't think anyone else is around. I brought some work home with me, so off I go. I'll check in later.

I've never tried a machine. I'm funny. Hate to put the money out to rent a machine, but I'll get into something good dirty with old fashioned elbow grease:rotfl: I was thinking about trying 1 of the resolves on it. Maybe I'll just have to go bottle hunting after work tomorrow.

As for a clean house, I do NOT leave mine a pigsty when we go on vacation, I swear. I do leave it presentable. I just don't bother with things like mopping the kitchen floor(POS anyhow) or vaccuuming the carpet in the living room because really, no one's there to see it.
Besides Rally is a very dusty birdy who just loves to get his dust featers anywhere he can. So I'm coming home to a dusty living rooom anyhow.

Congrats on the cell phones. Hope you got a good deal on them. Rich and i have had for just about 2 years now, but very basic models with text capability. BUt we've never used the texting yet:rotfl:

Rally is a crazy cockatiel. I posted pics of him in 1 of the chapters back not too long ago. He's a little tike, but part of the parrot family as well. Rich acquired him from his first home b4 we started dating each other. We think he's about 7-8 years old. He too had an abusive childhood that has made him a meanie. His first home had toddlers in it, and the toddlers loved to take pencils and poke him in the tummy. And apparently their parents never learned to tell them to stop. As for hte adults of the house, they clipped his wings, which is a good idea if you don't want them to fly too high or out the door 1 day. But they had absolutely no idea how to do it and caused permanent muscle damage. He can still fly of course, but not as much as a regular cockatiel because if he flies too much or too fast he gets muscle spasms in his wing. I'm not sure what stroke of genuis crossed his first family's mind but they offered him to Richard, and he took him. Rich's only crime was leaving him in his first cage too long. We rectified that while we were dating, and now Rally just loves it.

BUt Rally is really NOT a ppl birdy. He does not like to be held or have his feathers scratched as a lot of cockatiels do. And no matter how long he's known you, if you put your hand too close and he feels threatened he will bite you. He will bite us too if he feels the need. But he's very funny, and he loves to fight with his toys. He can also lose the fights with his toys and its very funny to watch.

And that's the long story of our Rally.

I must admit that I have the Iphone, but it isnt the new one that just came out, but Hubby and myself are into phones (him more than me) since that used to be his job, he installed phone lines and such, so He is always new on the latest gadgets and such, so we both have our own Iphones (I got one first and he couldnt be shown up :rotfl2: ) But before that I was not into texting or anything, Im still not that big of a texter, I only use like 3 or so minutes on my phone because we have the family plan and we are on ATT so we dont use minutes if we talk to others with ATT, but we dont have a home phone line now since we mainly use our cell phones for all of our calls.

Isnt that the way it always goes :confused3 :lmao: Maybe the next Edition will be the last that you have to do for awhile :goodvibes

And that's the long story of our Rally.

Poor Rally...Why do people think that its ok to abuse a pet??? Or allow their kids to do this :confused3 That is so wrong. Our son already knows how to properly pet the dogs and cat that we have, I even tell him that if the pets bite him, its because he is annoying them and they want to be left alone. He rarely annoys the cat (although it does happen occasionally and he/DS gets repremanded and he stops) I feel that if you do not teach your kids proper pet etiquett then they will not behave around them. DS has been around pets his entire life...We had a lovely prairie dog (RUFUS)...which let me not get into why he isnt here anymore:sad2: ...STUPID NEIGHBORS!!!But they were the best of friends...Rufus would kiss DS and DS would love to give Rufus treats. Anyhoo everyone must learn to respect animals whether you are big or small

Yes, i always blame the adults in his first family, because how is a toddler suppossed to know that poking the pretty birdy with the pencil hurts:confused3

I never had a bird b4 Rally, and I'm surprised that we get on so well. A lot of ppl would give Rally up, because Cockatiels are suppossed to be extrememly affectionate and that's not our Rally. But we love him for how he is anyway. We don't try to change him but we do try and offer as much affection as he'll accept. Every once in a long while he'll surprise us and sit on our shoulders, but mostly not. And that's fine.

As for the prairie dog. I'm surprised you were able to have 1 for a pet. The only place ppl like prairie dogs around here is the local zoo. I've read that they can be very destructive.

Yea but I don't mind. The more the merrier!!!

It goes great!

The 11th Edition is on the way!! I have all the green mickey heads complete also. I will start mailing those out soon.

Oh great. Sounds like you've been busy. I still haven't even decided what all else we're putting on our door:rotfl:
