Our niece is getting married October 3rd, and we just found out that she is going to be on her honeymoon the week of our cruise, and she's going to Anguilla, a little island right next to St. Marten. Weird coincidence huh?

Michele, good to hear you're getting a NEW one!!!!!! no more worries for a few years!!!

So far, this home warrenty has bought us 2 heat pumps and one air handler! it's paid for itself!! I talked to the repair co and everything is compatible...thankfully!!! It's a long story, but my air handler was possibly not the same size as the heat pump, but it is!!!!

I actually saw where people were looking for tours to Anguilla from St Maarten.

So Nancy, you booked Godfrey to go the Magens Bay? Reading his sight again, he obviously has more than 1 red bus? Since both 1 and 2 leave at the same time, but one only goes to the beach?

  Stamp that puppy "Paid In Full"!!

Erika, I hope you are safe tonight!!!

Nancy, I can't remember which tour I booked with Godfrey! LOL I guess I better look! LOL

CONGRATS on the paid off cruise!!!!! great feeling isn't it?? LOL

Erika I'm glad the storm passed!! how scary!!

Ours boys will be 4 and 6!!!
I think I like this beach better than Divi beach!!!!!! wow it's beautiful!!
I still have not heard back from Bernard yet on the cost of private tours but will let you know ASAP!!

I did book with Godfrey last night....so that's done:banana: we booked the Tour #2 with one hour shopping!!

We checked into a private with Bernard too. I'll have to dig out my old email response. I could forward it to you. (I'm so anal. I actually got private quotes from 3 places. Bernard, Joyce Prince and another. Gizmo I think is his name.) Ultimately, to save money we had decided to just go with the group tour since we were fine with all the stops except Orient and it said that he offers Le Galion as an alternate. We are water bugs and do wish it was a a 3 hour stop at the beach instead of 2...or even four hours.

Do let me know what you decide though. My DS will be 3...he turns 4 in Feb. DD is 8. I'm sure they'd both enjoy playing with your 4 and 6 year old.

Here's what we got.....and we picked Coki beach so we could do Coral World that is next to the beach!!!! We wanted to go there anyway so we figured to book this and not worry about looking for a cab!!

If you want one (1) hour of shopping, we will pick you up at the ship at 11:00 am ship-time.

We will leave the downtown shopping area at 12 noon and take you directly to Sapphire Beach, or Coki Beach for three (3) hours of fun and will have you back to the ship at 4:00 pm ship-time. We accept Cash or Travelers Checks upon arrival. All your purchases will be secured in front of the tour bus or you can rent lockers on the beach for $5.00 dollars. There are no enterance fees for Coki Beach or Sapphire Beach

sure if you find it can you send it to me? that would be great!!! My 4 year old is turning 4 on the first day of the cruise and my 6 year old will be 7 in November, so our kids are pretty much the same age!! they would get along great!! we will book as soon as we get a response from him, we'll see what the price is and if it's too much we'll just do the group tour!!!

Do you want me to put it here or try to send a PM or what. I can send you all 3. It was for a family of 4.

That's weird, when I read Godfreys site I have bookmarked, it doesn't show Coki or Sapphire as an option for tour 2.

Anyone consider renting a car and driving yourself around? I just worry about the traffic jams I hear about on the way back from Maho.

Michele, that's so cool (no pun intended) that your a/c is being covered!!!

We are booked for tour 1 with Godfrey.

Let me know what you are planning for Bernard, if you do a private tour. Depending on how much the difference is, we might concider doing that instead. Although, i am happy with the tour he has planned. Do you think, if we had 20 people booked, he would do a private tour for us, but not charge us an arm and a leg? Already, if we have us, pinkies, texasgirl and erika, that's 16, then add in Allen's crew, that's 20, right? Just food for thought!

Hey Nancy,
We are still trying to decide what to do.......how much is the tour????

we did consider it but we don't want to risk being late or getting lost LOL
plus that whole driving on the wrong side is NOT easy!!! :rotfl: we've been to Barbados and we know it takes a few days to get used to :lmao:
I also heard parking is difficult to find too?

Wow, that seems like a risky distance to go. We may see if she wants to ferry over and meet us.

Erika - We went to Anguilla on our first DCL cruise - it's where they had the dolphin excursion. My kids loved the beach there - Meads Bay. Fabulous waves and beautiful sandy beach. I know people do go over there while in St. Maarten - lots of info on Cruise Critic as someone else mentioned. We thought about going back this time but decided to give Orient a try.

The weather up north has cleared too and the temp had dropped 20 degrees! We had some wicked winds and lots of rain along with tornado warnings. We are up near Park Rapids/Walker. Hope all is well back in the cities. I'll need to call my daughter who is holding down the fort at home!
