WOW!! that's some delay, but I understand why. I don't have time to look further, but there are 2 shuttles on the launch pads, right? Is the 2nd one going to launch or was that the "In Case of Emergancy" shuttle??

Off to get ready for practice....see you after 8!

Once they postponed it to the 14th, we gave up on it. Merkie was very disappointed to. Her Science teacher was not going to give her any work to do over the vacation if she would take pictures at KSC and the shuttle launch and do an oral presentation when she got back. I am meeting with the teacher after school tomorrow to tell her that the shuttle launch was postponed and see if the deal stands with just the KSC.

thanks for the well wishes for the boy. Connor said he didn't really get to talk to Brandon, so we don't know if he knows how he's doing. I am hoping the coaches have been in touch so we'll know something tonight.

Gail, we are doing Godfrey's Tour 1, meeting at 10am. I imagine when there are ships in port, he's busy! I have only had to contact him initially, I haven't made any changes, so I can't answer why he hasn't got back with you. I am sure he will!!

Katie! It's good to hear from you again!!!! and I have to agree, as the time get's closer, it seems to go slower!! Even though I have a TON of stuff to do yet!

Well, I am trying someting different with Connor. Even though the school is on the other side of town, and the bus comes right to our neighborhood. I went to the school and picked him and Colton up. We were actually home 15 mins after dismissal. This gives him an extra 35 mins to do homework, eat, get ready for football and/or have some down time!! He seems much better tonight! LOL Okay, he just said, "I have 3 words for you. I'm Lovin' this"! LOL I guess this might be what I'll have to do for the next few weeks. I told Steve that spending the extra in gas, just might save my sanity!!!!

Dinner is almost ready and his homework is almost done! Colton has already finished his and normally they wouldn't even be through the door yet!

Hello Michelle! I'm glad you have had a more peaceful day. I have to pick Merkie up every day. She doesn't go to the school in our district. The school she is supposed to go to is twice as big and a lot lower in academics. The one she goes to is only about ten minutes further away than the one is supposed to be at though. To me it's worth the drive and my time.

That is the in case of emergency shuttle. When it goes to the telescope, it can not get to the space station if anything were to go wrong. Something about it being in a totally different orbit, and they can't carry enough fuel to get to it.....

your right, both shuttles were on the pads. We was just there on Friday.

I can't believe that it's actually next week!!! Got a feeling though that the next 9 days are going to really drag by though....

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the cruise - I know we are!

I'm pretty much organised now- did some shopping at the weekend so I think we've got everything we need. I managed to get the cutest pirate girl outfit for Niamh - she looks so adorable in it.

I phoned the Radisson and have booked our shuttle for the morning of 11th, have also booked our transfers from/to the Airport. So not much left to do really...

As per usual I haven't had much time to read through all of the pages.....but will try to catch up tonight.

Work as usual has been hectic -the current economic situation is adding to what is normally a pretty stressful job anyway.....I soooo need a holiday!
