No - I am kidding about the sword....my son would be the one who would be swishing it around and accidentally hitting things (or sisters)![]()
I think it would be a mistake - so I was planning on leaving it at home![]()
My husband drove up to INDY (about 2 1/2 hours north) to buy 2 generators last Monday...we have had storms that bring down the power lines with trees before and have had no power for up to 6 days. They were telling everyone it could be up to 2 weeks with no powerSo I was glad that my husband went to get the generators...he got them up and running on Tuesday afternoon, and of course by Wednesday evening we get power...but now we will have them when we need them.
Oh, you're almost there. You will make that for sure. We will have another one of those late nighters again this weekend.![]()

Are,, you going to use the swords for pirate night?? On our Halloween Cruise they actually took swords, etc. from people your not allowed anything that looks like a weapon. That is the same rule for the Halloween Party @ WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were not in KY at that time - although we came about 2 weeks later to look for houses and there was still snow in huge mounds in parking lots! What a shock to a native CA girl! I have heard horror stories about that storm though. The only time that I can remember our electricity being out for an extended period of time due to weather was about 1993 or so, there was a huge ice storm that paralyzed the whole state. Do you remember that? The interstates and everything were shut down for a couple days. We did not have electricity for several days. Mom and Dad had generators and we all moved in on them. It was fun the first day or so, but then we really started getting on each other's nerves. I have a sister and two brothers. We had fifteen people staying in that house. Eight adults and seven kids. Mom and Dad's house suddenly didn't seem so big.
We had a neighborhood "black out-cook out"... the kids played until dark (and afterwards with glow sticks) while the adults indulged in adult beverages and speculated when the power might come back on![]()
