So cool, I wish I could go!

So I'm driving to work this morning, and this car passes me and I am trying really hard to decipher the personalized plates. I keep thinking Andy something or other, then I realize the Y is not after the D, it's ANDBYND. Driving me nuts, then after about 2 minutes, he's long gone, and a lightbulb pops up over my head, he's driving an Infiniti!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you know I'm a New Yorker and I have a New Yorker's (the magazine) view of the US. There's New York, New Jersey and then the rest of the US until we hit California :rotfl:

Trust me, by the time we are done with you you WILL know SOMETHING about Idaho!!!! :)

Agreed. I also stay away from the threads about whether kids should be allowed to bring something to the table to entertain themselves while the adults are eating... personally, I have NO problem with THAT at all! So long as they use headphones or it is kept quiet so it isn't disturbing other diners, what is the big deal? In other words... if you are eating with us, be prepared... LOL! Since Sean doesn't eat, I see no reason to make him suffer just because WE do eat!

Chris always brings his toy cars with us to the dinner table...It keeps him occupied and we get to eat. It doesnt bother me if kids have to have something to interact or do while at the table...I think that some people can be so anal about everything :rolleyes1

Im with Allen...I dont care (Within Reason) what you wear to dinner as long as you are wearing something :lmao:

Still no cruise Documents yet :sad2: But the day is not over with yet so there is still hope :goodvibes :goodvibes

WOW thanks for the link about the B-Day info for Disney....You better believe that I will sign up for that...We are almost always there for Chris's B-Day anyways so saving some money with the other options is always good (we have the year pass already) but the other gifts sound just as fun. That made my day better...only thing that could complete it and make it EXCELLENT is if my cruise docs show up :rolleyes1

Good Evening all!!

We are having Papa John's Pizza for dinner. This Chicken Bacon Ranch is SO GOOD!!!!!

We are skipping football practice to go to the Middle School Football Game. Connor wants to hang with his friends (can you blame him?) and Colton is going to play in the band. I am going to bring the snacks for the band members.

Kristin, thanks for the link to the birthday passes! If you had a family that had many birthdays in a weeks time, that would be great!!! Ours are Jan, Feb, May and Sept....would love to go to WDW that much in a year!! we had friends that were married that had the same Birthday. That would be so cool!!

I can't comment on the dress code. We were the family that I am SURE people were talking about. After 2 days of having to argue with Connor about dressing for dinner, we finally gave in to the shorts. Now, we never went to dinner in cut offs and tshirts, we were dressed in what a person might wear on the golf course....docker type shorts and collared shirts. We were not the only family either. I have seen some ladies wearing dresses that left nothing to the imagination and should have just worn shorts to dinner to begin with! ANYWHOOOOO.....if you see us in shorts, don't be surprised! We are bringing slacks to wear, but who knows what we'll actually wear. (Should I don my flame resistant suit now?)

Okay, this photo isn't the best, but here they are!

Cool bags. With bags as long as those I think you'll be able to fit just about anything:rotfl: Don't forget to dig to the bottom:upsidedow

Congrats Heidi!!!!!!!!!!
Do you know when you are leaving yet??

Just got back from the ENT.... yes, I have lost some hearing, but since the MRI was normal he thinks it is probably just inflammation from the ear infections. SO he is putting me on prednisone (tapering dose for a couple of weeks) and sending me on my way. So long as I feel I can drive safely, I can head out on Saturday as I had hoped! Picking up the prednisone in an hour or two, so we shall see how tomorrow goes... Should hit Ohio by Wednesday all going well...

Now to scramble pack! Eeks... will be on the road in less than 48 hours, and I have a HUGE amount of stuff to do before then!

Seeyall later!!!!!!!

We didn't make it to Walmart tonight. Merkie has way too much homework. She came straight in and started working and stopped long enough to eat and is back at it. It seems like she is just having way too much homework this year.

I am so glad that the ear is going to be alright and that it's not stopping you from heading out. I am so jealous that your vacation is starting now and lasting this long.

I'll pass on the Papa Johns ty.

Haven't looked at the birthday pass thing yet. but considering we about NEVER go anymore I can't say b-day passes would be a promising thing for us.

As for the dess code, as long as you come dressed Michele, that's all i care about, though I do advise you to leave the mini-skirts at home:rotfl: I have to say I saw this girl at Target today, she was taller and curvier than me. Also thick in the legs if you know what i mean. She was wearing a pink mini skirt that flared. I actually wonder if some ppl look at themselves in the mirror b4 they leave the house:confused:

I promise you that what i wear for my husband will not see the light of day on the cruise:lmao:

OH GOOD! I am glad you'll be "On the road again! Just can't wait to get on the road again!" LOL

What is your route through Ohio? Are you coming across I64 or down I77 through WV by chance?

Time to get ready to go to the game. Ya'll have fun and I'll check in when we get back!!!

I promise I will wear clothes to dinner!! :thumbsup2

ok, so what else have i missed since yesterday?

Oh good news Rich CAN get into the cruise site, So he'll be doing our checkin.

NOw, what all do i need to send with him to work? Anything other than passport info and my parents info?

I've learned to stay away from the dress code threads. The claws really come out in those.

(personally, I don't think kids should be held to the same standards as adults. I don't see anything wrong with nice shorts at dinner.)

I totally agree! kids look cute in anything!!! :thumbsup2

I don't know how to post links, but has anyone seen the news articles about the Islamic guy who says Mickey Mouse is a soldier for Satan and should be killed. I guess no one told him that Mickey Mouse isn't real. It's just some kid in a costume. Still, made me worried. Could the next terrorist attack be on one of Disneys resort destinations.
That has been going around for a while....there was some kind of video that was teaching kids to hate America, and MM was satin....yada yada....

Don't you know I'm a New Yorker and I have a New Yorker's (the magazine) view of the US. There's New York, New Jersey and then the rest of the US until we hit California :rotfl:
New York and New Jersey are part of the US????:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I like my countdown better:

Ony 9 more work days!!!!!
That does sound better. I think mine is 14 working days!!

Maureen- Glad to hear that your DH can print the docs for you!! :thumbsup2

Heidi- :cool1: For getting the traveling cleared...Sorry to hear that you lost some hearing but glad to hear that you are getting better. Have you ever taken Prednisone (sp??) before??? :confused3 I did once...Just to warn you...It makes you EAT AND EAT AND EAT...I was constantly starving! I went thru a whole box of cereal BY MYSELF in one sitting because I couldnt stop eating. One bonus to that was that it was the first time in my life that it paid for me to go to a buffet, but I didnt know why I was eating so much until I talked to another person who had been taking it as well and found out that was a side effect  Just thought I would warn you ;)

Michele- I was going to mention that for our first cruise last year on the Wonder (I have since learned that there is difference in preference for attire on both ships) We just wore Jeans and a nice shirt to dinner (I felt more comfy and never felt out of place) and on the formal night (It was only the 4 day cruise) I brought a nice pair of dress pants and a nice shirt...nothing fancy. Although I did see one AND ONLY ONE person dressed exquisite in a NICE evening gown with sparkles and such. Im not much of a dress girl and I feel the most comfy in nice jeans and a dress shirt. But I am have learned from reading the conflicting posts (I dont dare post) that It is frowned upon to wear nice Jeans to dinner on the cruise :confused3 Now it would be the best for me to leave Chris in Jeans and change his shirt to a collared shirt but since I am afraid of being frowned upon...I have since decided to add MORE things to pack and that consists of Docker pants and 2 suits for Chris (he rarely wears suits but I want to do something nice and different so I dont mind the suits during formal and semi-formal night) Im just trying to see how to avoid food all over his nice clothes

I am packing myself just one nice pair of black pants and lots of different shirts to wear (so its a different shirt each nite but same pants) I figure no one will notice my pants that much and even if they do...Who cares? :confused3 And then for Formal and Semi-Formal night I will *GULP** Wear a dress:eek: :lmao:

I agree with the mini skirts, and even some of the shirts out there (or dresses) :scared1: I dont want to see anything dangling or hanging from places it shouldn't...Keep it tucked away please :lmao:
