I missed you again. I'm going to run and give Merkie her spellling words and go over her Science Study Guide. She has four tests tomorrow. I had to miss the PTA meeting tonight so she could study. I can't believe how much harder 5th grade is now than when I was in school.

You are very welcome! I thought I had saved it in my favorites, and by golly, there it was!!!!

So what's everyone into tonight? I just ate too much chocolate chip icecream! LOL It was the last of the container, yanno, too much to really eat in one sitting, but not enough to leave another portion? So, I ate it all.

I have had a headache all evening.....then it started to lightening and thunder off in the distance. they called practice about 15 mins early, but I am sure because of the coming storms, that's why I have it.

we are doing great Nancy. we are just trying to tie up all the loose ends lol but I keep losing tract of the loose ends. I had two more crowns put in today at the V.A. Hosp and they wanted to get my partials in and I said NO not until after the cruise lol the way I lose things my partials would still be on the ship when we returned to texas

I'm back already. Merkie knows her tests. She has come along so well when it comes to being able to study on her own. We have always studied together for her tests with me giving the stuff out to her and explaining things to her. I thought that it was important for her to begin to be more independent in her studies, so beginning this year, I have pulled back more and left it up to her to do a lot more on her own. She has adjusted much better than I thought she would. I actually think that maybe I needed her to need my help more than she actually needed it. Does that make sense?

Hi Kristin; I understand you are getting cooler weather? we are in the way of hurricane Ike and looks like we could get 2-5" of rain on saturday. ugh. this city can not handle more than 2" at a time.
