Hi all who are still up-
I am glad to report we got our documents yesterday....and (most importantly) just got our power on after 5 days without power....
We are in the Louisville KY area that got hit with hurricane force winds (winds 70-80 mph) on Sunday. We lost power around noon on Sunday -lots of damage to trees and some roofs in the area. Only one fatality - a 10 y.o. out mowing the family lawn in a town about 20 miles from here.
All I can say is I'm thankful the power came on now instead of the 10-14 days they were predicting.
I have LOTS to catch up! Probably won't get to read everything, but I'm definitely looking forward to meeting everyone.

Glad you all are OK and the power is back on!!!

The weather has been VERY nice since the wind storm. The evenings have beern in the 50's and the days in the high 60's/low 70's. Thanks goodness my husband was home (he's a pilot -for UPS) and was able to drive to Indy to get 2 generators for us to use for the last 4 days. (no generators to be had in this area....)
The kids have been out of school for the last 3 days and have tomorrow off too since there are many without power still.

I was beginning to panic - I still have to iron on my decorations for our T-shirts.... And was in the middle of sewing pirate costumes....

CRUISE QUESTION - SORT OF

My teens are working on me to let them go to MNSSHP on Friday night. Is anyone going or has anyone done this in the past? They want to show "our" exchange student from Germany the Magic Kingdom in all its Halloween glory. DH and I are looking at the logistics. It would be kind of cool!

Any thoughts?

Been to MNSSHP 3 times. With teens who can stay up late, I would absolutely go for it!!! It's great fun, but you need to go in costume LOL!! It's more fun that way! I will say the last time we went it was pretty crowded, but it's still a great time, and you owe it to the exchange student to take them LOL!

I know Alex and Maggie are going on Friday night before the cruise, but I dont know if anybody else in our group is.

Where are you guys staying on Friday?

Nighty Night to all...Just wanted to stop in before going to sleep myself. Sorry I got caught up...DANG this ADHD, I cant keep focused on one thing at all for very long. I started like doing one thing and it winds up being three different projects and by the time I get done with one, I run out of time and forget what the first things were that I was supposed to be doing

I started folding laundry and putting it away..then it got into me cleaning out Christopher's clothes drawers of clothes that are too small for him or that are going to be too small soon...then It started into getting things together for the cruise (not packed in the suitcase yet but all together into a laundry basket till I can properly sort thru everything on what I really need and do not need...then it landed me into the bedroom and I started trying on clothes for dinner each night and then it ended up with me going thru my clothes to give away things I dont wear Now I am back to the forum which I was intended to be at before all of this got in my way

Allen, I hate when that happens. Its hard for us as well because Where we get our mail and other things delivered at is our old place by DMIL'S house...we never changed our mailbox because when we moved into this apartment/house place,the move was not supposed to be for a long time...just a short while till we added onto our old place (duplex by DMILS) but that hasnt happened so we have grown out of this place and will be back closer to DMIL'S house now and may possibly get our mail changed or Not since we will be closer But anyhoo it makes it hard though because she and DFIL work so, if they are not home...then I have to go and pick it up at the post office or UPS place. So I do feel your pain

I also have not gotten our cruise docs either....so I am on the list with Allen and whomever else hasnt recieved theirs yet. Although I am sad that I dont have mine yet, I feel a little better knowing that we still have some time left before its an emergency
