I slept in this morning. I got up just in time to get Merkie ready and took her to school. Now, I am back at home to get ready myself. The next few days will be busy but fun for us. It's our local festival, the Gingerbread Festival. Our town almost shuts down for it. Food booths, crafts, live music all day long...........fun, fun fun!

wish me luck. Connor just sent me a text telling me that he has so much homework, he wants to call the coach and tell him he won't be at practice! YIKES! I told him not to panic yet...we'll look at it when he gets here. Anyone want to watch a melt down?

I just got the news! My travel agent said today that DCL just released military discounts for my (our) sailing and she got it for me! End result for my 2 connecting cabins???? A credit of about $1200 on my credit card!
YEAH baby!

So, if any of you are military active duty ( I DON'T KNOW ALL THE REQUIREMENTS) you may want to run, not walk, to your travel agent and see if you can get a "magical credit." Well, at least, it's magical to me!

Good luck. I am a happy happy cruiser right now.

Connor is in a FOUL mood! OMG! He won't be going to football and that just ticks him off. well, if you would have done the assignment right the first time....but we won't go there!

Colton is going to the after hours peds at 615 for his ear ache.

I am going to be in bed by 9! LOL

We are back from the Dr's. Colton has "an impressive ear infection". Lovely. we have known are pediatrician for 11 years. His wife and I were friends and then he became our ped. Wonderful family! Got us some Omnicef to clear this up AND a refill to take on the cruise with us! Since we have that "insurance" none of us will be sick! YAY!

Connor is still muddeling through his homework. This kid is the BIGGEST procrastinator!!! then when I get after him, he gets upset and loses all focus. we are going to have to really pay attention to his schoolwork with football everynight. He can't let things ride until the last minute anymore. (well, this assignment should have been done on Tuesday night, but he "forgot" it at school, so he tried to do it Weds morning at school and didn't finish it. then the teacher told him it was incomplete and not done in the format he wanted, so redo it! of course it's all writing out definitions to words, so that is even MORE time consuming for Connor. we have issues with fine motor skills, so writing is an arduous task)

Glad that Colton got some meds,,!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha ha!! well, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! I have learned to budget my time and get things done earlier, but I am still Last Minute Lucy. I'll be the ones packing the last of our clothes at 11pm the night before we fly out! and they'll probably come straight from the dryer!

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone is doing well this morning. I probably won't have time to post the next few days. I have volunteered at the Right to Life booth at the festival this morning, so I am heading there until noon. Then I'm going to hit the craft booths before going to pick up Merkie at school. She is now bringing three friends home with her and I am taking all of them to the festival tonight. Only one is spending the night with us though. They want to be up there by 5:00 to eat and socialize a little before heading to the football came. Tomorrow, Merkie and I are both riding in the parade on our church's float, so we have to be to the loading site by9:30 to check in. The float this year is great. We have the three crosses with the center one being much larger. Everyone is dressing in costume. We have Jesus and Romas soldiers, everything. It's going to be fun. Then the rest of the day tomorrow will be food, friends, rides and music.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!
