Oct weather?

Quite pleasant weather at the parks. Remember, it is the tail-end of hurricaine season so make sure that you purchase trip insurance. As long as you're not in fairly close proximity to a hurricaine, the seas tend to be very smooth.

I agree with the previous post. Dh and I always go to Florida in October...usually the last week or two of the month. The weather has been ideal and crowds were minimal during the week, but did pick up on the weekends.

We also took a 7-night western cruise last October and the weather was perfect. Not a rough sea or rainly day the entire time.

I would still purchase trip insurance just to be on the safe side since October is still Hurricane season.

There have never been any hurricanes the last week of Oct.! (saw this on a graph in some newspaper last year & was thankful since it was when we cruised!) Coincidence, I'm sure, but made me feel better!
Travel insurance ALWAYS a good idea!
Weather from FLL-W. Caribbean was fabulous! Never remember being too hot or too cool anywhere. (Princess cruise)
We had 1 day of moderate (7-14 ft.) waves. Queasy w/ patch, but once I had a cocktail, it was similar to a slight buzz...

huckster, it's a hard call. We go down to FL every October. I have had really hot weather (tanks, shorts, etc.) and have had cold snaps come through where I needed a sweatshirt, t-shirt under and pants. It just depends. October can be iffy weather just like Nov/Dec as far as getting a cold snap, but for the most part it is warm.

I suggest packing at least 1 sweatshirt with you and some pants and a windbreaker just to be on the safe side. It's better to be prepared than to have to look for cold weather clothes once you are in FL.
