Last year was our first trip to DW. We went over Thanksgiving, it was crazy busy, we hit the parks early and did all the fastpass stuff, but still around 11:00, all we did was wait in line. We are trying Oct. this year, I wondered if it will be any better. Anyone with any info., please help me out.

Well thanksgiving is a pretty busy time at the parks. I have been quite a few times in october and its been great, longest ride wait maybe 20 minutes. Weather is usually nice (other than the occasional hurricane) and parks are not packed with people.

Of course WDW has added the Food & Wine Festival (which is a lot of fun) and they have the halloween party at the MK which attracts alot of locals especially on weekends.

But even with those two events I cant imagine it could be anywhere near as busy as Thanksgiving.

Most of October and November (except Thanksgiving week) should be good. Watch out for Columbus Day. Some schools have several days off and I've heard that can be very busy. The only other time to look out for is Jersey Week, which will mean very busy days November 9-12 this year.

We're headed there for Thanksgiving week. I'd rather do a different time, but don't want to pull the kids from school.

We're hoping for the best!

Here's a major plug for Tour Guide Mike. I've used TGM for trips during slower times of the year, and if I was ever going to the parks during a peak time, I would really want his expert advice. Instead of being frustrated with long lines, you can relax and enjoy your vacation the TGM way! :cool1: I always avoid the peak times like the plague, but I know it can't always be avoided. Since I've never gone at a peak time, I'm just going by what the fans of TGM have said, but they say TGM works. Just a thought.

After being there in October 2002, 2003 and 2005 I can only say... GREAT time to be there! Halloween at Disney... THE BEST

Oh yeah. I signed up with his site a while ago. Seems like a great resource!

Oh, yeah. I forgot about MNSSHP. Note to OP: Go for October. You'll have a great time.

We've been going mid November the past couple years. This year we are going from November 10 - 18. It's busy on the weekend, it was the food and wine festival last year. It wasn't too bad compared to Thanksgiving. And it's a ton better than spring break in april!!!

:thumbsup2
