We are trying to decide which week may be best for our 1st visit "home" We don't have any preferences about things to see and want to avoid crowds if we can. Which week (or weeks) in Oct or Nov are preferable.... ? We would do a Sun arrival leaving the following Sat. :confused3

We Would stay at OKW Just DH & I so would have a studio. Sounds like availability won't be much problem, just wondering about crowds at the parks.

Which resort? October and November are F&W festival, so BCV and BWV might be more difficult to get. We found the mid October time to be fairly quiet at the parks this year, but not nearly as quiet as January and September are.

My favorite time of year to go to WDW is October for the Food and Wine Festival. The crowds aren't too bad and the weather is perfect. I think you'll like October.

We to are making our first trip "HOME" at SSR staying 11/13 thru 11/18
for DS b-day. Should not be bad at all that week as it is 1wk before
thanksgiving and the day we arrive the F&W festival ends.
spent the same week last year at BWV (non dvc) and it was very
quiet not much of a wait for any of the attractions.
:cool1: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

POR 9/98 Wed Day/D Day
All star 9/99
off site 5/01
BWV 11/04
AKL 03/05
SSR 11/05 !!!!

We had no problem getting a studio at VWL last week (we own at SSR) for 11/13 - 11/18. We expect it to be nice and quiet. :flower:

I think I would choose mid to late Oct, better weather and less crowds.
Food and Wine Fest. plus MNSSHP which is great even without kids.
