Thank you. I have often gone at fall break and it’s crowded for sure. Depending on what people thought, I was thinking of switching to Christmas break so we could get a big Christmas gift out of it next year.

If you've dealt with the UEA crowds in Oct., then Christmas Week crowds shouldn't be a big problem. The decorations and park atmosphere are super fun at both times, so a trip at either time could work.

This! We went that October week last year and I said never again. I am okay with crowds but combined with heat it was miserable. Our friends waited in line for RSR for just over two hours. Granted this was before any of the new passes came back to the park. I haven't been over the week between Christmas and NYE but if crowds are similar I would personally pick those that's.
Just wanted to drop a tidbit into this thread because UEA was mentioned. The UEA convention that always took place during the 3rd week of October doesn't exist anymore, so most Utah districts have adjusted their fall breaks, and the whole state isn't out of school on the same days anymore. Will this mean DL won't be busy in October? Of course not. But the 3rd week *might* not be the cluster that it once was. It seemed like crowds were worse Columbus week last year.
Yes! I have vowed that I won't go any time except the last week of October going forward. Take it with a grain of salt though because Disney always pulls me back.

I'm planning to go Oct 30 into the first week of November. Do you think it will be a regretful choice? I'm hoping because OBB is done the first week of November it wont be as bad.

We've gone various weeks in mid to late September and also each week of October except the last one. Maybe the last one is bad too but I'll give it a shot. My issue is mainly with heat though.

Probably 10/30 and 10/31 will be busy, but last year Nov 1 was totally dead. I went that day and I’m planning on going this year too as my son doesn’t have school that day.
I think the first week in Nov is generally a good chance of it being less busy because Halloween is over and Christmas things haven’t started up yet.
I love Halloween time and I love Christmas. For me it isn’t as worth going if it’s not one of those 2 decoration times. Anyone have any more advice on going in between Christmas and New Years? Or does no one brave it? No Early closing for Oogie boogie is a good thing for a Dec trip
