Oct ADR's- Le Cellier vs. Coral Reef for kids 4 and 8

I am finalizing my Oct ADR's. We were planning on going to Le Cellier, but after reading several reviews about it being overrated and crowded, we were thinking that maybe our kids would enjoy the atmosphere of Coral reef better. They will be 4 and 8 when we go. What is your experience or opinion.

We preferred Coral Reef to Le Cellier. DD12 (11 last year) really loved the atmosphere and food here.

Been to and liked both. Both have good selections for kids. The atmosphere at Coral Reef is more fun but the kid's desserts at Le Cellier are cuter.

We actually were seated in LeCellier one time when my kids were younger, and got up and left before ordering (told the server, of course). It is really boring for kids, and has an adult-atmosphere. Children are certainly very welcome and plenty will be there, but it's just a dull-looking restaurant, and we could tell our kids probably wouldn't make through the whole dinner process. I would vote for Coral Reef...happy children make happy parents!

We were also rethinking our AP's to LeCellier and go to Coral Reef instead. Our 4 year old just gets too bored at restaurants and wants to crawl under tables instead (like at our last nights dinner out at Olive Garden).

We were hoping the fish atmosphere would help with the boredom.

I'll look at the menu and decide.

We took my DD to Le Cellier for lunch when she was 4 and she really didn't enjoy it. She has gone to Coral Reef at 4 and 5 and she really loved it; the aquarium and the menu to help her identify the fish keep her entertained. I liked Le Cellier but I preferred CR and I will be making an ADR there again this year, which is one of the few repeats on my ADR list. I personally don't understand all the hype on the DIS for Le Cellier.

Last year, my fiancee and I LOVED the food at Les Cellier, but my dd (3.5 at the time) was totally bored. She curled up on the chairs and slept a little bit, if I recall. It's dark and uninteresting in the restaurant.

Coral Reef has a really neat atmosphere (which dd loved) but we thought the food was average and overpriced. Also, it was very crowded.

We have ADR's for Les Cellier again this year, but we chose not to do Coral Reef again.

Thanks everyone for your input. My husband and I would like to go to Le Cellier, but this is our first family trip to disney. I kind of feel like it should be aimed at our kids. Eventually they will get older and maybe enjoy other, less "entertaining" restaurants better. Plus we don't wan't people right on top of us because both our kids are "talkers" and I would not want to ruin anyone's meals.

Are you on the DDP? Do you know if Coral Reef is one or two TS credits? Thanks very much...

The Coral Reef is just 1 TS credit. Apparently, accoding to a CM I was talking to the other day when making ressies, when the DDP 1st started, it was a 2 TS option, but not anymore.

We love both of these restaurants, but I will have to say, Coral Reef is awesome for the kids. We love it so much we are going 2 times in our Sept/Oct trip. Cant wait. Kids love the aquarium so much!

I've been to both and I really like both. Le Cellier recently had a few menu changes and I am thinking about not eating there on our next trip because they took all of my favorite dishes off the menu.
