Oct 6, 2014 - Wonder in the Bahamas

I cannot wait to join the fb page; however, do not want it to show up inadvertently and my daughter see it. We are not telling her until her birthday (two more weeks!) can't wait to get signed up for fe and possibly ce.

Is anyone on this cruise doing any excursions in Nassau? Any recommendations?
We primarily booked this cruise for 2 stops @ CC so I am not really interested in a beach day. Our family of 4 (w/ 2 Dkids pre-teen & teen) is adventurous and walking/hiking isn't a problem. We have done Singray City in Gr Cayman & hiked up the Mayan ruins on a previous cruise so we are up for adventure!
:scratchin The flip side to this is that I have really considered jumping off the ship for a bit of the straw market experience but really enjoying the boat on the port day.
I would love to hear what previous Bahaman cruisers have to share.

Did Ardrasta Gardens years ago just to march w/the flamingos there, family humored me, but wouldn't do it again.

We now always do the water park @ Atlantis.:goodvibes The facility is amazing! Usually find booking @ room @ Choices Suites is far less expensive than the ship's excursion and more time to enjoy the facilities.

Never could understand not getting off ship (no matter how nice it is) when there's a port to enjoy but to each their own.

Oh that makes sense! We aren't closing the FE for a few months so you'll be fine!

Just request to join once you've told her cause the FB group name is a dead giveaway! lol "OCTOBER 6-10, 2014 ~ Disney Wonder Double Dip!" No mistaking that! :rotfl2:

If you want to join the Candy Exchange that list is being done right here on the dis! So you just have to post here if you want to do that! :flower3:

Do you want to join the Candy Exchange?

Information about Candy Exchange:

We use Fish Extenders to deliver our gifts.

You pick a candy from your general area, or region, or even ones you would like to share. Two examples...Life Savers were invented in Cleveland, salt water taffy is considered to be invented in NJ. If you wish, and many do, print something out about your candy choice.

I will keep the number around 10 cabins and if there are 2 groups and you want to join both, tell me.

In July, I will ask for cabin numbers and the number of people in each cabin. September 1 is the deadline for sign ups!

Do you want to join?

I will be asking for number of people in room when I ask for room numbers.

Hi all - Completely new to DISboards here, but booked on the Oct. 6 Wonder cruise, and trying to catch up with all that's going on... Would like to get on the CE list, but haven't figured out how to PM yet.

Thanks!
Tara (will sail with hubby, DD11 and DS8)

No need to PM just yet. I will be asking for PM's around the middle of August, asking for cabin numbers and how many in your cabin.

To PM, you will need to have 10 posts, I think. Just come here often, ask questions or welcome new people to the group!

PS. When you do have 10 posts, just click under the person's name, a list appears, and one is to sent a PM.

Thanks for the tips, Bobbi! Looking forward to joining in more conversation about the cruise - I'm so excited to go on the Wonder for the first time!

:welcome: to the Dis! :)

Is this your first cruise? It's mine! Also my BFF's first! We're ditching our kids and having an EPIC girls trip (link to my pre trip report is in my signature) to WDW! I'm driving to her from Manitoba, Canada…she lives in Minnesota. Then we're driving to Nashville for a one day tour before we drive to Beach Club Villas for 4 days before the cruise!

I'm very excited for the cruise! :wave2:

Hi all! Just switched a few weeks ago to this cruise once we found our son's school will have fall break this year. This will be our third Disney cruise and our second this year! Looking forward to the Halloween themes and the double CC stop. The waters were cold there in March, so we are hoping they will still be warm in October. Only about 5 months to go!

Was wondering if there is a FE group set up for this cruise yet? This will be our 3rd disney cruise and we have never done a FE group before but would like to do it this time around!

What are everyone's plans for our stop in Nassau? This is our 1st time in the Bahamas AND our 1st Disney cruise. We booked this cruise to enjoy the boat & 2 stops at Castaway Cay.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. It's me (mom), DH, DD15 & DS12.
Thanks!
~~well I am a ding-bat & realized I had already posted this inquiry a month ago. My apologies! ~~

Melissa and I plan to do the shallow water dolphin experience at Atlantis.

Have you looked into the excursions yet to see what you might like to do?

What to expect? What to plan for its me my husband and out 2year old little girl

I hope someone who is traveling with a young child will help you out. I think DCL has excellent children activities, but I do not know when or how you register. (We are grandparents, and the parents have always handled that.)

Here's a link to some basic information.

Heather - We went on our very first cruise last October - a 3-night Disney Dream cruise. It was the most relaxing vacation ever! I'm excited to stretch this one out on 4 nights (though hoping to get to 7-nights at some point!). CC was our favorite part of the trip, so we picked this for the two-days there. Your trip sounds like an incredible getaway, road trip and all! -Tara

Not for sure if I ever officially joined the FE but wanted to drop in and say we had to cancel this cruise. Just didn't work with the kids' school schedules. We ended up rescheduling on the Magic during Spring Break.

Hope everyone has a great time!!!! :wave2: Bye
