On the WBTA cruise in Sept, I don't think they listed the rotation code on our KTTW card, like they use to. Instead that was a 1, 2, or 3 beside a letter. Didn't figure out what each code meant and if it had anything to do with dinning at all. We didn't know out rotation until we reached our room and received our dinning ticket.

I really liked having the rotation on the card, so we knew right away if we wanted to change it.

If its the same as the old ships you wont know your dining rotation until you get your room card upon check in. It is on that and a ticket in your cabin.
Shows are listed one day at a time in the Navigator paper they deliver to your room each night. The first day one will be waiting in your cabin when you arrive.

If you really want to know, just read a TR from the Dream and if they dont say which shows then post and ask them what shows and the order they played. Or post the question on the main forum page. Someone who has crusied on the Dream already will aswer you.

That was a great change from the previous versions but if one didn't know to look for it, it got lost in all the new emarcation goings on. We didn't notice it until the 2nd cruise and then went back thru the MV Navigators and by golly it was there just overlooked..

Jaime, so glad you said that about the trip documents. I was wondering how we were supposed to know all this stuff before we left. Will it include dining rotations, and which shows they have, and that kind of thing too?

I also forgot to say that is from Pop Century it may be a bit less/more from the airport!

ppartekim, this is great to hear, I wonder if the issue was that we were sailing from Barcelona and DVL wasn't using their own computer systems for check-ins.

I want it to be at one of the resorts as we will be touring the properties. I cant think of its name just now but the new Pizza restaurant at Itlay is great. They offer much more than just pizza too. I loved it there last December when we went.
There is always a line but it moves really fast and is worth the wait.

If you want a really nice dinner, not worrying about the price the Yachtmans steakhouse is double awesome!! Must make a reservation . When we lived there we used it for special occassions.

If you want entertainment I agree with Hoop De Do revue. It is great fun. Your served family style. I think we had ribs, chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, biscuits and beverage but its been 6 years so it may of changed a bit since then. DO NOT try Crockets tavern which is next door to Hoop De do.
They changed it, we went there in December and its not good at all. Basically deep south foods which can be good but not there. Nobody was there but us and then we found out why, it was really bad. Cant believe it is still open. but thats just my opinion, others may love chicken, waffles and grits for dinner cooked the way they cook them.

Via Napoli, is without a doubt, one of our top 5 favorite restaurants at WDW now. The pizza there was identical to the amazing pie we had in Naples last summer when on the Med cruise.

When we stay at AKL before a cruise, we always tend to eat at Boma's.

It is a great African Style Buffet restaurant. Not cheap at about $40/pp but you can eat as much as you want and I never found anything that was good or excellent (best butternut squash soup, almost like a dessert) and the buffet line is like at least 75 feet long (soups, salads, breads, desserts, meat dishes, vegetable dishes).

A great place to start the cruise-like eating frenzy.

We took the WBTA in this last Sep (2010 and in 2007) and I thought our rotation was one our KTTW, but I 'll have to ask my better half since I know she kept those KTTW cards somewhere. They seemed to have a better system this time than in 2007 as it was less hectic than I recalled (or I'm now a seasoned TA traveler ).

We loved Kona and then you are set for the fireworks and the Electric Water Parade on the Poly beach.
I have been trying to decide between Boma and Sanaa for our trip in November. 14 people, 2 kids with alleriges. Any thoughts?

On a totally different note, we have been celebrating today as my husband was made a partner in his law firm last night. He said we should go on vacation over Memorial Day to celebrate (just the two of us) and let me plan it (as long as it wasn't Disney ). So we are taking a long weekend in San Francisco and Sonoma Valley. I can't wait.

Has anyone been to Napa/Sonoma that can recommend anything I shouldn't miss? We are going to a Giants game in San Francisco and will probably just have time to have dinner in Chinatown and walk around the Fisherman's Wharf area. (We have been here before, so we're just going to enjoy it for a night.)

We have a bike tour through a couple vineyards planned. And I am hoping to do a hot air balloon ride. We even rented a convertible to drive up the coast. It's nice to have a fun trip to hold me over until fall.

The Hoop Dee Doo is something I want to do with my girls so that's out. Trying to pick somewhere where I will not feel to guilty going without them.

The Yachtman sound interesting...I like the location as we can head over to the boardwalk after.

I will check out the menu...I never even thought about this hotel. I am only paying for air on this trip so I don't mind splurging a little for two nice dining experience

Morning everyone

I am in full-on planning mode for this trip. I reserved my car (Thrifty) and just booked Pop for 3 nights before the cruise. Now I just have to wait till May to book our dining.

We are getting in late (after mid-night) on Thursday so we aren't planning to go to the parks on Friday during the day. We'll just hang out in Downtown Disney and eat at T-Rex.

Friday night we will go to MNSSHP and have an early dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.

Saturday we will spend the day at Epcot. We will eat at the F&W Fesitval for lunch and have dinner at Via Napoli.

Sunday we will have an early breakfast at Kona and drive to the port.

Now I just have to start my packing spreadsheet.
