Howdy Nana's!

What a fun, yet exhausting day!

Chayce and I drove up near Yellowstone this morning about 8am to float the river and fish. We both caught a couple of nice sized trout, so it was a successful trip.

While floating the river we rounded a corner and found a Moose in the water along side the shore. Well, he wasn't to happy to see us in his territory so he charged us. We rowed towards the opposite bank where the water was deeper. Once the Moose discovered that the water was over his head he decided it wasn't such a good idea to come after us and he turned around and headed back to his side of the bank. :scared1:

I always carry pepper spray in case we run into bears, but I never thought I'd need it for a Moose?

I'm exhausted and going to bed. Have a good night.

:scared1: wow....glad you guys are ok....where you able to stop and take some pictures to show us????:confused3:laughing: just kidding

It wont count unless you book this cruise!!:rolleyes1
:thumbsup2 and if ya book, we will count this as a double "top"!!!!!;)

I'm busy continually updating my trip report to keep on your good side, Kathy.

Howdy all,

WHERE IS EVERYONE TODAY??? :confused3

A quiet afternoon here.

Back later to see if anybody shows up soon,

Kathy

What, I have a good side????

I bet people here would debate that:rotfl2:

I have been reading your report and really enjoying it.
I will be sure not to park in #13 anytime I go somewhere, I have never been supersticious but your report may change my mind;)

Kathy

Good morning Nana's!

Jeff, I have also enjoyed reading your trip report. It sounds like it was an amazing vacation. :thumbsup2

I'm here Kathy! It was a busy weekend. Janel's family had a reunion over at the lake, so we spent most of the weekend there. Nicole went back to Utah with her cousins to stay a few days....she'll be back later on this week. Chayce finished his Eagle Scout project...now he just needs to complete all the paper work and get it signed so he can receive his Eagle merit back next month. He will also be testing for his 3rd degree black belt on Saturday. I'm a little nervous because many who test sometimes break bones in their hands or feet from the "board breaking" routine. :scared:

Well, I've got to call Paris this morning. Air France canceled our flight to Budapest and re-booked us on a flight that gets us back into Paris to late for us to catch the chunnel train over to London. They have an earlier flight that would work, but they said I would have to call them to make the change. The last time I called no one spoke English and my French sucks! :sad2:

Have a good day everyone!

Morning all!

Sorry for not posting much. It's the busy season for me and my family.

Had a busy weekend working for my event in a few short weeks and visiting with my family. Had an hour delay for school today thanks to the fog and so DD and I got to sleep in and we LOVED it. :cloud9:

Have a busy week ahead, DD's birthday is Wed and we are going to take her after school to see Nanny McPhee. She won't get anything else until Labor Day weekend when she has a sleep over with her school friends to watch Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2 that premiers on Sept 3rd. Then we will have her family party Saturday and then have a party for my Great Aunt that Sunday. We also have the town Festival this weekend so we won't be home much. We are all starting to crave a vacation!:rotfl:

Hope everyone else is doing well! I'm off to read Jeff's TR and then it's time for dishes and :laundy:

Will try to check in soon and have a great week everyone!:goodvibes

morning everyone,

Greg when my DD and her now Dh broke boards I couldnt watch. :scared1:I only went to a couple of those tyrpe events because I knew someone would get hurt but nobody ever did. Now I have grandkids doing it too. Not sure if i could watch them get their black belt and upper levels of it when the time comes.

Sounds like everyone is having all the fun they can before school starts up again;)

85 here today, 95 the next 2 days then cooling to 70's on the weekend with a slight chance of a shower. I do NOT want a shower on saturday because we want to go to the state fair that day. Its the only day we can go and rain makes it way to miserable . So if it rains we will have to just go to a movie instead but I can do a movie any weekend, I want to go to the fair.
So NO rain!!!! I command it :rotfl2:
Can't hurt to try and be the boss:goodvibes

It wont be long August will be gone. Time is just flying by this year. Soon this cruise will hit its one year mark!!!!

Jeff ,
the report is great, keep it coming. I will wait until wednesday to go back and read what ever you get done this week. I get so interested and then it ends until you have time to post more. GRRRRR!!! So i will wait for you to get a good deal done so I can read a lot without having to stop in the middle of something.:thumbsup2 Pictures are great too.

Hi Morgan, nice to see you popping in again. I didnt expect to hear from you until after the Harvest festival.

Kathy

Kathy,

I will try to pop in when I can for the next 4 weeks, but after that, I won't be around for probably a good 2 weeks. I start working down there on the 13th when I can get down there and then my actual "job" starts on Sept 18th and 19th. Then the week after that will consist of getting last minute things around and laundry done and packing so that there isn't much to do on the 25th and 26th after setting up. Then we leave the 27th after sending DD to school and won't have internet down there. We will head home on the 3rd of Oct, but then we will take the next week to clean everything up and pack it away for next year.:thumbsup2

I'm going to TRY to take pictures for everyone on here if they want to see them. I have some pictures on my facebook from a couple of years ago, trying to capture from beginning to end, but I only got the beginning. :rotfl: I usually get so busy doing my work that I don't take time to get pictures. Hopefully it won't be muddy this year and I can remember to take my camera out on the grounds with me. I will definitely take pictures down there at our camp on Sept 29th though, as it's DS's birthday and we are planning on making him a nice birthday feast to celebrate. :woohoo:

I will try to find some pictures to post from the Feast from other's facebooks. :rolleyes1

Just think by the time you are done with all this, it will be a year till the cruise:cloud9:.

Morning everyone  had a great weekend. It's still really hot here (106 all weekend long) so besides being in the pool we stayed in our nice air conditioned house. It should be going down to 99 this weekend and maybe we will be able to spend sometime outside. It's kinda like winter here during the summer only you don't have to warm up your car or shovel snow, just stay inside.

Jeff- I am enjoying your trip report too. Someday I will get to Europe but in the meantime, your report will do.

Christine, I have totally been thinking about that!!! I'm just afraid that that year will creep by so slowly!!! :rolleyes1 We will have to see how the next year goes, but doing the Feast right before the cruise next year might be a little nuts! I'm pretty sure DH and I will be begging for one of those nice little welcome aboard drinks as soon as we get on the ship! :lmao: Feast, then clean up and pack for cruise, then an 18+ hour car ride with both kids and MIL.... YUP!!! Sign me up for a drink! :rotfl2:

Jessie wants to cruise for her sweet 16 in July, but trying to convince her to push it back.

What's wrong with this picture?

Samantha's birthday is in November and we are celebrating Samantha's sweet 16 in August with Jessie,... and...Jessie's birthday is in July and you are celebrating her Sweet 16 in Oct/Nov with Samantha. Oy

Thats a real tongue twister :rotfl2::rotfl2:

There is an easy solution.

Bobby and his family and Joanna and your family celebrate both girls sweet 16 on the 10/30.2011 cruise :thumbsup2

Easy as pie to solve the problem.
