We would love to return to Florida. However with no good paying jobs for Gregs occupation it is not likely to happen. So we are stuck here for now.
But when retirement comes we will probably be there for winters at least.
Then summers here with family.
We love to travel so that would be a great way to do it, but we have a few years yet before retirement.


We really miss Florida.

Greg, you really need and try to come....its only a 3/4 day or 7 depending on what your willing to do.....I'm just doing the 4 day portion of the trip.....so come along at least for the short version.....it would be fun to get most of us back together.....

Once we get back from our Med. cruise after Christmas I'll have a better idea of what else I can squeeze in for 2011.

Greg, just squeeze it.....you know you want to tag along with us.....I will even let you wear your hot pink tank top and a$$less chaps....(again)..... If your nice to me I may even hook up with your for dinners again!!!!! How darn special is that????


Kathy: At this point I am ok with Izzy not coming along. I want to enjoy myself and not worry about a 2 year old....now if my daughter was there, then it would be ok....she would have to take care of her!!
Gotta run at work and have a desk full of work......
Plus I just had my review yesterday and it was great so I dont want to prove my boss wrong that I sit here on sites that I should not be on during work!!

Morning everyone,

cool and cloudy this morning but that wont last long. We are cooling saturday to 77 which is amazing for this time of the year. I love that temp.
I want to drive downa nd spend the day at the beach but may not make it, we shall see. It is usually alot cooler there so it may be too cool with the strong wind that is always there. I havnt seen the full forecast yet. I did hear Charleston South Carolina's heat index for today was going to be 118

That is unreal!!!!

Well if your cooling down that means I won't be far behind. I could use some 70 degree temps about now. My poor A/C unit is about to self destruct from all the use its been getting lately!

I better be careful that might scare Greg away againI promise I wont HEX any excursions this time



My AC has had quite a work out too. Outside its been nice but you know how fast an RV can heat up. Its like sitting in a tin can

I have walked the dogs twice, sat outside with them for 35 minutes, done the dishes, did the laundry, vacuumed and now I am ready for lunch and to relax a bit.
After lunch I will probably sit outside again with them to enjoy summer before its gone again and all the lousy rainand cold returns

No plans for the weekend really....I have some running on saturday I may go get a pedi on saturday and sunday....nothing....sleeping in late.... Wally is going for a ride on his bike early sunday morning and I may start some laundry and thats about it....nice easy peaceful weekend.

Yeah, I was feeling better before the ambulance showed up this morning. Janel hasn't been to happy with me for refusing to let them transport me to the hospital.

It was a good thing I wasn't having a full blown heart attack.....it took the ambulance over 20 minutes to get here! I can drive myself to the hospital doing the speed limit in 15!

No shade trees that do any good. Each spot has one small tree on the right side and the hottest sun is on th left side. Even when the sun is on the right it doesnt shade the Rv just a small grassy area where we sit.

That tour looks like fun. I have seen thse buses that turn into boats on the news before. Pretty cool.

how are my grandpuppies? You need to share some photos here sometime. You should drop by the other thread now and then son. Have one new person there.

nice and cool this morning and only 80 today which is nice.
We are heading to the beach tomorrow because its been really nice there the last few weeks and the girls love to run the beach but just now they are saying the weather wont be good tomorrow at the beach. Going to be foggy and drizzly all day. GRRR!

I think we will go anyway and just take the dogs towels with us to dry them off if needed. I shouldnt have said IF Those crazy dogs run right out in the 50 degree water.

Anyway if i dont post until late tomorrow that means we are out trying to have some fun.

Yeah, for the most part. They have to still fix a few things they broke during the repairs. Oh and I have no cold water because they ran the new water lines through our attic which in the summer is well over 100 degrees

Good evening all,

well we just got back from a nice day at the beach. it was cloudy but was 67 degrees with a slight wind. For Oregon that is a great day. Usually its so windy you cant stand up and very cold, even in the summer.

The pups loved running the beach and running through 50 degree water Too cold for humans.
Pixie was running about knee deep and ran into a hole where she promptly went under the water and bobbed right up again, swam to the edge of the hole just wagging her tail. Minnie was chasing her but when Pixie disappeared under the water, Minnie stopped, smart dog.

They ran for over an hour straight jumping all over themselves and climbing on rocks.
I will post photos later of a huge rock they went up with DS Peter but then minnie started down the wrong side which was a steep cliff. She started shaking with fear and was stuck about 20 feet on the cliff.
Peter went to the top and called her and she barely was able to climb up.
That was scary, at least for me. Of course that didnt slow her down at all.
They finally took a rest while we sat on a log but then right back to running.

I think they played for about 3 hours. Only 2 other dogs on the entire beach and they left 10 minutes after we got there, maybe 6 other people.
So we had the place to ourselves

Now I am tired but the dogs need to be bathed to get the sand off of them and even though I dumped my shoes there is still sand in my shoes.
