Hi again

Yes Mike did get a job.....THANKFULLY!
It was about 6 weeks i guess and I was sure nervous.

You never know how long a job will last in these times....scary but true.

He is really wanting me to say yes on keeping our DVC but i have not made up my mind and i am still leaning on the not keeping it.....all the reasons we bought it just seem so unrealistic to me at this point and i cant seem to get the excitement i once had for it.

So glad to see everyone is doing well and excited about there trip.....ONLY 7 months for you guess!!!!! WHOOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I will fax you guys a Margarita to celebrate on the job quest:woohoo:.

DVC? HHmmmmm - take a deep breath and think it through - the answer will come in time:goodvibes as u will always have a DISfriend down here in Dallas.

I've started thinking about trip activities for my six year olds that will be somewhat school related. I have lined pages that have Disney characters on them for my two to practice upper and lower case handwriting (I found that on a website). I plan on having them keep a daily journal. Thought I would put together a map of our travels that they can color and match the names with the places too. Are there other suggestions about school-related things to do? I'm sure my girls' teachers will have some assignments for them, but I wanted to have some things ready too. Maybe those of us with early elementary schoolers might get our heads together and come up with an on-board activity (treasure huntish) that gets those little brains problem-solving in the midst of having tons of fun!

I always liked the idea of having the kids talk with the different cast members about their homelands and learn where thay are and what the cast members like best about their county. You could have them ask the servers something different each night. It is just a thought.

Congrats on the job. You are right today one never knows when you might be out of work. I too hope this job is one that he enjoys and can do for some time.

I agree not to make any ruish decisions with the DVC. We have never bought any because I just do not see how it would really save us any money due to the way we do Disney but if it brought you joy to begin with once things calm down and you feel more secure you might again find that joy and excitment. It would cost more to replace it than to keep it.

Hi Kim,
I called the Hyatt last night, booked a room with the discount code: costco. You need to show your card when you check in... anyway, I told them I had gift cards and they said no problem!!!:cool1:

We have 3 rooms booked at $119 per room ($133 with tax). We are going to buy $400 worth of the gift cards at Costco, and that makes the room $106! (with Taxes!)

Unless I get a better deal closer to the date... that is it for us! :yay:
Kristen

WOW!!! I'm going to call and rebook. Thanks so much for letting me know.
Kim

In my photobucket account, I have Activity and Journal pages I used for my son on our trip last fall. The journal is for both WDW and DCL as we did both on our last trip. Have a look, you can use any of them! :) The link to my photobucket is below in my signature and the albums are labeled as Activity Book and Journal Book. And if you would like me to personalize any of the Cover pages, just let me know.

I am really getting ansey!! Is it October yet??

We have transfered our reservation to Dreams Unlimited. This is our second cruise, I booked our first through an online site two weeks before sailing and booked this cruise while onboard. I am looking forward to working with them!!

I've been despretly trying to come up with our FE gifts, and haven't had much luck. Some of the things on the Homemade FE Gifts thread are amazing! I wish I were more talented and creative! Hopefully I can come up with something everyone will like. I ordered a FE from eBay, can't wait to get it!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

How do I find :confused3 the Homemade FE Gifts thread? I've looked, but I must be missing it.

Joanie

We have added two families to our FE Exchange!!

JKSWonder in a GTY Cat 6 2 adults, Allison 9, and Michael 4 they currently have late dining but are hoping to switch to main.

Also, tinkerbelltwins has switched to main dining.

Let me know if you have any questions!!

Has everyone weighed in on dividing the group?? So far the comments I have seen are all for leaving the group as it is.

I'm good with the bigger group too.

We are good also with the bigger group. Isn't there a list somewhere of ages for this? I feel like I saw it somewhere and cannot find it now. Thanks!

I am so glad!! Now get those gift cards and save another 20%!!!!!!

I bought them a few weeks ago but, now with the lower rate you found we can all have breakfast at the hotel too!!! I have $200 in gift cards which will leave a nice amount towards breakfast after the room is paid for.

We wont make it poolside. We will fly in late Friday night as I don't want to pull the boys out of school. Maybe we'll run into each other at breakfast in the morning.

I'm still ok too. I'll email you again when it closes out for the final head count spread sheet if that's ok. I can't keep track, I tried. :)
