HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!

I just got done making all the deserts.

OMG!!!!!!

I AM SOOOOOOOO GLAD i wasntmaking the whole meal.

We are going to friends house for Dinner there will be 12 of us.

I made Pumpkin pie, bluberry pie, KEYLIME BARS, Cake decorated with pumkins made out of circus peanuts...(you gotta see it)and KEY LIME SURPRISE!!!!

We are also taking squash which we love.

WHAT ARE YOU MAKING???????

MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm! Send me some Leftovers!

Our Thanksgiving was last month, but HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those celebrating this Month!

I just got an invite to Christmas Tea or Boxing Day Buffet style dinner with a whole menu list, Mmmmmmmm, very appealing. Only problem is, the invite comes from a family member who is kinda on the outs with most of our other family members (my DH included). I'd love to go, I don't understand holding onto grudges,,, hmmmmm, I'll have to try and work some Magic to work this one out. :wizard:

But Christmas, One Month from today? I"M NOT READY!!! Ok, has ANYONE actually done their Christmas shopping yet? I'll feel better if I knew there was someone else out there who hasn't even started yet! (our cruise 2 weeks ago, threw me off even thinking about Christmas, so now it feels like I got smacked upside the head with it!) Normally I'm all ready for it by now, so this just feels weird!

I'm not ready, but I have started. Our grandchildren both want Disney dollars for coming trip in May. Our grandson is in high school marching band, and they are headed to Disney, so we are making it into a family trip for the rest of us.

I do seem to be running out of time since DH and I leave for disney on the 6th and will come home on the 18th. Doesn't leave a lot of time for holiday preparation.

Will any of you be there at the same time. Looking forward to the grand decorations and we will be doing one of the holiday tours.

My house is decorated inside except for the tree and that will happen on Sunday. Outside is complete.

I'm also hosting luncheon here for our best friends daughter and her bridal party on Saturday. They will come here between mani/pedi/ hair and when they go to the reception location to change for the ceremony. I'm so pleased to be able to do this for them.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Joanie

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! We had a blast!!!
Hopefully the whole RV-outdoor-camping thing becomes a tradition for us! Have to get in the shower- our hair smells like Rome Burning in Spaceship Earth from the campfire!!

I am still cooking our Turkey dinner on Sunday (if we go somewhere else on T-giving then we get to do it twice) so while it is over for everyone else it is still ahead for us...version 2.0 :rotfl2:

Oh you aren't alone-we haven't started anything yet....shopping, decorating, tree, anything! We can't usually get into the spirit much until Thanksgiving is over (which it still isn't for us) so this isn't unusual. We'll probably get our outdoor decorations up this weekend but probably not the tree until next weekend. We may or may not get some shopping done...probably not today I am dragging! ;)

We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. My wife did most of the cooking and my younger daughter made a pumpkin and cherry pie and what has become a tradition now, the pumpkin bread recipe from LTT. She makes it in a cupcake pan instead of as a cake. I had one with my coffee this morning :thumbsup2

We ended up with a great TURKEY DAY......Spent evening with our friends and their kids.

AsforChristmas.........Only have stocking stuffers.

We dont put up my tree till my bday which is the 12th.

My DH got us tickets to TRANS CIBERIAN ORHESTRA on the 4th.

COOLNESS

Glad everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We got about half of our Christmas shopping done today. We did most of it online. I'm not the type to go out and brave the black Friday sales, however there were some great deals on most websites.:thumbsup2 Tomorrow I'll go up in the attic and get all those darned decorations down. We'll go out sometime this week to pick out a tree. I love Christmas time, but I'm just not feeling it yet...:confused3 Jen has been playing Christmas music all day and it's driving me nuts!!!!:headache:

I was making a Xmas playlist on my ipod and importing/adding/editing/tagging.

Not as much fun as it might have sounded and I am not even done yet.... :upsidedow

I hope everyone had a great T-Day!
I shopped yesterday starting at 5am and got lots of great buys. Mostly electronics for DH and DS. I went out again this morning and picked up a few more things. I hit the Disney Store and got some great deals on pj's. t-shirts, ornaments and a snow globe for our 2 yr old grandson. I think I'm done for a while!
This afternoon I'm getting a haircut and back home to relax. I may put on National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation to get me in the Holiday spirit!:santa:
DH surprised me yesterday with a Reggae Christmas CD. I love Reggae and it's truly right up my alley.

I did end up out last night to Walmart. DS16 works there, so I'm able to get the additional employee 10% Discount on anything purchased. It was a bad shopping experience though, at least in the Electronics Department. They've hired a bunch of newbies for the Christmas season, but the ones they had in that department knew NOTHING about the products nor anything about customer service. I went in planning on spending over $1000.00 in that department alone which would have covered all gifts for all 4 of my children. I ended up walking out with only one item, complained to the manager about the service I received and was given an additional discount on the Wii game I bought. The store opened at 7 this morning so I was up early, and back there, and thankfully there were more employees in that department and I received the service I expected last night. My purchases have all been made except for one item (they were sold out). But if feels great to have this much off my shoulders now. Two items were BIG, and I worried about where to store them till Christmas. My neighbour was out working on his car, we chatted and now my items are safe in their spare bedroom!
After all that, I took my neice to see NEW MOON (her first time, my 3rd!!!) Now I'm exhausted (having been at walmart last night till midnight, then up early and out again this morning). My plans for this evening? RELAXING and dreaming of the cruise to come.
Oh, and I just finished putting some of our recent Cruise portraits into frames to hang on our wall, that was a joyful few minutes!:)

Glad everyone enjoyed their turkey! I am so impressed by all who managed to get so much Christmas Shopping done yesterday and today! :worship: All I accomplished was making my Christmas cards on the Photopass site, decorating one of the trees and ordering a few gifts from Amazon Prime! And today....I booked our 1 BDRM at BCV for 2 nights before the cruise. Now THAT was EXCITING!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: 11 months from today it all begins! WOO-HOO!!!!:woohoo:

This will probably be my last chance to post before leaving tomorrow. Try not to post too much so I don't have that much catching up to do when I get back :teeth:

See you all in 11 days.

Most Christmas music always drives me nuts.

Sometimes Walmart is the place you love and hate all at the same time.
My DD went to see New Moon Friday night too. I have not even seen Twilight so i did not want to go.
I LOVE Cruise pics

My most fav place to shop??

Why the Disney store of course:goodvibes

T.T.F.N.

We decorated our tree today and I was pretty happy to hang up the Disney Wonder ornament that I had bought on board this past October. Of course, it made me wistful and once again thinking about our next cruise!

I did a lot of shopping the day after Thanksgiving (I am one of those crazy people out at 5:00 a.m.). I got most of the kids stuff, except my son's stuff is huge and cheap and my daughter's stuff is small and expensive. It makes it look like he has more. I think I need to buy some bulky things to fill in her side of the tree.

Hi I saw ur from st.louis and so are we good to have fellow st.louis people there. Im so excited its our first cruise

Perhaps I'm crazy but just saw this http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2341502

so thought I'd put the bug out there.
Has anyone thought of what they'd like to do while in GrandCayman yet? The tour mentioned in the above link sounds AWESOME! If 20 of us booked together for it, it would only cost $55.00 per person?!! It's an all day excursion (6hrs?), and at that price, thats less than what one would pay for any similar excursion through DCL and is much longer than any DCL excursion.
Has anyone here done this tour before? Anyone interested in making it a group thing here?

I just posted on the other thread- we did the Eco tour on a smaller boat last time, called Outrage. It was a GREAT day- we loved it!! I wrote about it in my TR, here's a link if you're interested-

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2012657&page=13

The Outrage was a smaller boat and much less expensive- it's on the same website as the other tour (Eco-Zodiac), in case you don't find others to join you on the bigger Zodiac. Not sure what we're doing yet....:goodvibes
